Manna Korean BBQ
333 Alameda St #305, Los Angeles, CA 90013, United States
I found this venue to be a great option for Korean BBQ in the DTLA area. The food itself was wonderful, easily some of the best Korean BBQ I have had, and I have had a good selection across Los Angeles. The venue itself is very clean, with low-key lighting a convenient buffet for the sides, and very spacious, suitable for parties of any size. I went with a group of 15 people and we were easily seated during lunch on a weekday. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great Korean BBQ experience in DTLA.
MG Tofu House ()
333 S Alameda St #312, Los Angeles, CA 90013, United States
Food is decent for the price. Ive been here a few times and ordered the tofu and beef soup dishes. Both were tasty but the portion sizes were minor. The appetizers/side dishes are basic. Theres validation for parking. Its run by an older Korean couple who may have language issues. Its not as popular as the other eateries on the second floor so its pretty quiet. Waitress/owner refused to provide an extra container for takeaway after my meal b/c the amount I wanted to take away was too small. Ive encountered this resistance at other Korean restaurants and found it strange.

I love this place! This is Asian Fusion semi fast food place. Its a Korean bowl place. Picture Chipotle for Korean! You get to put whatever you want included in the size and protein choice. I didnt even think to take pics of my food, next time for sure! I had a large bowl with a little spring mix salad, Korean beef, roasted Brussel sprouts and zucchini, tomatoes, English cucumbers and peanut salad dressing for the salad, top with sesame seeds and fried scallions! This bowl was so delicious especially the Brussel sprouts! I went to the Compton location and the gentleman helping me was excellent! I told him it was my first time and he let me sample the chicken and beef, he was patient with me because they really have a lot of choices! Must try! Locations in Norwalk, Compton and Torrance!

Ive been coming here for years. Always have great service. Food is great, I mostly come here for the Kimchee Fried Rice, its my favorite.Always loved coming here until recently, my friends and I came for a birthday dinner for 12. We never came with that much people before, its usually 4 of us. When I called in saying we have 12 people, they said it was too late to do reservations (which I totally understood, it was day of) the gentleman said to us it may be a long wait for our table for our party of 12, no problem. When we were finally seated, to our surprise they sat us 2 different tables. I asked for a big table but they failed to tell me big takes has to be reserved ahead of time. I so wished the gentleman told me when I called and arrived. I wish I had warning we would be seated at 2 tables. We let it go and made it work.We had 4 picky eating kids with us. Ages of 4,5,7,9. All we ordered the kids was a side of fries, which they didnt even finish. When the bill came, to our surprise we were charged for 4 kids all you can eat. I spoke with the waitress and she said their policy is kids HAVE to be charged the all you can eat regardless if all they eat are fries. Fyi per kid was about $17. THEN they realized one kid was 9 so they changed it from kid to adult price which is now approx $35. I lost my mind! They said on their menu it said this policy but when I checked myself, all the menu mentioned was the all you can eat ages which is between 3-7 years old. Nothing about being charged for kids all you can eat regardless if kids just eat fries.Im so disappointed on our experience. This experience put such a bad taste in our mouth and dont plan to come back. To make matters worse, before the hectic occurred, I told the waitress its one of my friends birthday and they never came to sing happy birthday. As much as I loved this place. Never again. Rip off!!!

I went in expecting a standard Japanese teriyaki type of place, not Mos Burger crossed with Korean so the menu was confusing and I didn't know what to expect from the sauces and such which made for a really long and embarrassing pause standing in front of the clerk who is waiting for your order. Eventually, they rescued us in that the wall menu is bare bones but behind us there was a stack of “paper” menus with actual descriptions of the menu items. Most “single” (main dish only) items come with rice so the combo that adds (waffle) fries seems kind of unnecessary but if your rice has been compressed into burger buns I guess you might want fries to go with although the combo, which also comes with a fountain drink, is a big leap up in price. The brown rice option for my choice was very welcome. I have no idea if they also do burger bun form rice as brown as well. When I asked for my katsu sauce on the side they also sidelined my salad dressing so bonus points for that (and a thumbs up on the special order fulfillment). Our order was filled quickly, hot and tasty. My only disappointment is that of the sauces on the counter for our use, soy sauce was not one of them.
Smile Hot Dog
333 S Alameda St #104, Los Angeles, CA 90013, United States
My sister and I stopped by for a quick bite to eat so we decided to stop by Smile Hot Dog. And let me tell you, it was a good choice! The service was great! Pancho offers great customer service as well as being a chill guy to get along with. Our service was quick despite it being a bit busy after our order. My sister ordered the original smile dog (#1), myself ordering the Cheeto smile dog (#7) in addition to a Tteobokki for us to share. The tteobokki was nice and chewy which was really good. My hot dog wasn't overly spicy but enough to enjoy the taste of the hotdog as well, and as for my sisters she enjoyed hers just as much as I did. Will be back soon! Thanks again Pancho for the amazing service! :)
