Love their Korean style ramen ?. Broth is very flavorful, a bit spicy, and I add some bok choy to it. The service is great and the restaurant has a nice decor.

Previously ordered via Grub hub and enjoyed the food so much that we came back to the restaurant a week later. Great place if you cant decide between Chinese, Thai, Korean, or Vietnamese since they serve them all
Happy Valley Village Shanlitun
1655 S Azusa Ave E, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745, United States
During this pandemic, I wanted to support local businesses.I called them at 4:45pm to place an order. The guy on the phone told me, “we don't open until 5pm. Call me then.” Ummmm.... ok... then he said “Use FanTuan because you get 50% off”.So I ordered on the app and it said pick up at 6pm.I show up at 530pm letting them know I am here and that I'll be doing some shopping at 99 Ranch. They said ok.I come back at 6pm and they told me another 15 minutes. I come back at 615pm and they told me they accidentally gave my order to someone else....Wtfffff.But no worries, they can whip it up in 15 more minutes. How does this happen? How can they whip it up in 15 minutes but I had to wait over an hour in the first place?Sorry but will not be eating here again.
Tokyo Central
1420 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
Tokyo Central at West Covina is the market I must go to every month, at least once per two months after I moved from Glendora to Pasadena. I love it.Its 7 years ago, and I permanently moved from Shanghai to LA, I visited almost all the Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thailand, and Philippines markets but I was not satisfied. I am a professional amateur chef, I need good materials. Yes, I found most seasoning, raw food, cookware, dishware, and tools in the markets, but I was not satisfied until I found Tokyo Central randomly. It filled in the blank part of my requirement. Why am I saying that? Tokyo Central always has the best quality foods. For example, the rice, I could find good rice in other Asian markets but Tokyo Central in 2016. The Nishiki rice from Japan was so soft and so good. The pity is that the Nishiki rice became a Product of UAA since COVID, became much worse than before. Nowadays, I still dont have good rice to eat.Tokyo Central has a big canteen just beside the entrance, you can buy the food, sit and eat them in the canteen. The canteen provides seasoning sauces like ketchup and soy sauce, tempura sauce, etc. It also provides a microwave oven, cold and hot water, forks, knives, and chopsticks. You can warm your food there and enjoy them, very convenient.Tokyo Central also provides buffet-to-weight foods, not too many options, around 20 kinds but very balanced. There were tempuras, fried chicken, fish, vegetables, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, yakisoba(fried noodles), and rice. The buffet station was closed for several months by the pandemic as well as the canteen. Now some of the buffets changed to prepacked and some are still pick-as-you-want.There is also plenty of sushi, rice ball, bento, Japanese style desserts, Japanese style cakes, all you can eat in the canteen after paying them through the counter. I love those onigiris (triangle rice balls) even though the price is getting higher and higher recently. It looks like they shorten the opening time of the canteen after the pandemic, I didnt get the chance to have lunch there several times.I think I know Japanese food well, and I cook them well. I think I am qualified to say that since I translated one Japanese food dictionary and one Japanese cookbook. I can get most raw food from Tokyo Central when Id like to cook Japanese food. I can get okonomiyaki powder and sauce there, as well as takoyaki powder and sauce. I can get various Japanese seasoning sauces there as well as thin and thick noodles. The raw fishes for sashimi, are good. The premium beef is good. Also, the bags of Japanese pickles, are authentic and delicious.(to be continued)
Cha Cafe
10308 Lower Azusa Rd, El Monte, CA 91731, United States
Cha Cafe is a cute and modest cafe that offers a fusion of Hispanic-Mex, Asian and Hawaiian food/drinks. Theyre located on a small plaza on Lower Azusa road by Arden dr street. Its interior emits a very chill and relaxing atmosphere with cali tropical pacific island flair. Indoor dining layout was spaciously organized, neat and well lit. Similarly, its decor and yellow-orange color scheme were perfectly conceived. Whats impressively cool was that they have PS game ? station atbthe waiting area.I came her one late Saturday morning for brunch. Their menu is composed of three categories: Comfort, Healthy and Appetizer. I ordered their healthy vegan avocado wrap with homemade chips ($8.98) and grilled chicken skewers ($6.48) and thai ice tea with boba ($5.38). Service was moderately fast. Veggie Avocado (+lettuce, tomatoes) wrap was delicious and tasty. Grilled chicken skewer was really flavorful, soft and tasty. Thai ice tea with boba was particularly good. Prices were reasonable. Staff were attentive, competent and professional. Free WiFi. Take out order is available. Ample of parking on the plaza. Overall I had a good brunch and dining experience. Will definitely come back and highly recommend Cha Cafe.
CHEERS CAFE
1414 S Azusa Ave B1, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
I will give 5 stars for the YukGeJang. Better than any other Korean restaurants in Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar, and Walnut. Bento was pretty good too. The reason that I gave 4 star rating was because there werent any side dish.
Earthen Restaurant
1639 S Azusa Ave, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745, United States
Originally came for Boston Cafe but found out they recently closed. Earthen Restaurant was no doubt my second choice as most reviewers claimed that their food was tasty. Unfortunately, my first and probably only experience here was not what I expected. Although the food isnt too bad, its nothing noteworthy. Theres honestly so many delicious places in the area that are just as good, if not better. Maybe ordering to go is better than dining in. Experience was 1 star, but I added an extra star for the hardworking kitchen staff in the back.|| P A R K I N G / L O C A T I O N ||-Cross Streets are Colima Road & S. Azusa Ave.-Located in the same plaza as Northern Cafe, Truedan, The Old Boys Tea House and more!-Ample amount of parking|| S E R V I C E ||We visited on Friday for lunch and the place was not even half full. There were 3 waitresses who were all busy chit chatting with the loud table next to us. They were all so busy chit chatting that they forgot that they had customers waiting to get their order taken so we had to flag them down. We pretty much waited for 10-15 minutes. In addition, we had to ask numerous times for an extra bowl so we could share our noodles, and we waited patiently each time. Again, the place isnt even full and it isnt even peak hours yet, not sure why they couldnt even handle such a simple request. When our bowl arrived, it was just placed so abruptly and not even a slight apology was given. Ok, whatever, just give me my food already. Oh turns out we ordered a Mooshoo Pork and it never came. We asked for the waitresses to check into it, but after 15 minutes, no update was received. At this point, we didnt even want it anymore as we were full. We ended up paying at the counter and asked them to remove the item from our bill. I cant imagine if I didnt do that, perhaps they still would have charged me for something that never arrived. I dont expect 5 star service at restaurants like these, but obviously, this business lacks BASIC customer service. I sincerely hope they improve because judging from previous Yelp reviews, its a recurring issue.|| F O O D ||House Chicken ($13.95/Half) - Almost every table will order this. For the price, they give you a generous portion. The chicken was tender and with the cucumbers, it was refreshing to eat on a hot day. You can get a whole chicken for a total of $16.95.Xiao Long Bao ($9.95/9pcs) - Probably the best item weve ordered. So much meat and flavor packed in one bao.Noodle with Soybean Sauce ($10.50) - Yummy, loved how chewy the noodles were. A decent portion, although I can probably get this at a Korean restaurant for the same price with bigger portions.
