Try Oshio! It’s so cool to have an authentic Korean restaurant here in Chico. The staff is super friendly and efficient, and the food is amazing! You get generous portion sizes for the price, and the quality of their ingredients is high. As someone who is Korean, and grew up eating Korean cuisine, Oshio makes my heart very happy. Please support them!

Neat odds and ends, plenty of ingredients, and a nice selection of foreign snacks. Gotta love their melon soda. They also have a small section where some older lady comes by and drops off homemade dishes throughout the day. You never know what youll find. Could be minced meat dumplings, could be unnamed banana leaf-wrapped yum food. Come try something new, like their high protein canned tofu chicken that looked so weird i just had to try it on a dish.
The Barn at Meriam Park

We LOVED it!I had the Beet Salad and my adult daughter had the Korean chicken. We were both very happy with our choices and will be back to try other menu items♥️.(The Korean Chicken is a sandwich. It is listed under sandwiches but somehow we both missed that and were surprised that it was a sandwich! Our bad! It was really good. A little spicy for me but Im a super wimp on spicy food! She loved it)We ate outside and were very comfortable. The service was GREAT?.They have a great looking beer menu but we were having a quick lunch then picking up kids so no beer.I suggest you give this place a try. You are going to love it!
Upper Crust Bakery & Eatery
130 Main St, Chico, CA 95928, United States
Not good but not all bad. Im starting to understand that my parents are no longer paying for college. Giving me a credit card to do whatever I want is over, dang. The reason I say this is I need to stay out of places that charge $13.75 for a sandwich, maybe? My 3 star review is for the lack of good service (Food great!). I think that most of the people that serve you and do a good job are great but there are 1 or 2 bad apples that make it tough for others. I now have gone to the bakery twice over the past week. The people that should be helping dont. Standing behind the counter they are talking to one another and I guess were suppose to wait until they have finished in order to be waited on. I waited in line this last time and had a girl wait on 2 people before me and then stare me straight in the face and walk away. I watched her go to the front of the kitchen and stand there with her arms folded and watching other employees working, must have been her break? Maybe I guess I need to apologize to them for being in a hurry? I get a half hour for lunch and it makes it difficult when you have to wait around to be waited on. Im fairly certain the owner will never look at this. Cheers to Upper Crust for past performance!
Farmers Brewing Restaurant and Taproom
1950 Market Pl, Chico, CA 95928, United States
We understand this restaurant is still fairly new and they are still working the kinks out. Went there for my girlfriends birthday. No reservations for parties under 8 so the wait was over 45 min for 6 people. We sat at the bar for 30 min and had some beers and took a bar table as it was still about 20 min or more for a dinner table. Several beers were out but not noted so each time we ordered we were told that one was out. Several beers were in cans but not labeled. Had the Korean chicken sandwich which was absolutely amazing. Its messy but the flavor was killer. The French onion burger was pretty good. The fire shrimp appetizer is definitely going to be ordered again.Pros: great food and the beers that were not out were great. Service was pretty fast.Cons: the bar chairs are horrible if you are average size or better. They are very uncomfortable and you want to slide forward. The seats need to be a little bigger. Inside is very loud. First 3 things we ordered on the menu were out.

Unwined Kitchen & Bar
980 Mangrove Ave, Chico, CA 95926, United States
Came here 4/9/2022 and had a reservation. We were a large party and we're seated pretty quickly, the hostess was a complete sweetheart. Three people that were part of our reservation couldn't make it so you could tell they were frustrated with that. Initially tried to squeeze the rest of us in one table and luckily we didn't have to do that. Our waiter was nice and attentive. We had three toddlers with us and I needed to step away with one of them and when I came back my food was boxed which was fine. My family was still getting things together so I finished my meal while I was there. After we were done and we're walking away the manager/owner Melinda came up to my husband, kids and I and said, “we just boxed this up for you guys and somebody's going to leave it?!” Total attitude and was rude, I explained to her the situation and she proceeded to roll her eyes and walk awake. Stunned the cook that was by the pizza asked if we were ok and we explained what happened and she said she's so sorry and some people are very inconsiderate. We proceeded to walk away and Melinda followed us and asked gosh what was going on?! Every time I tried to explain to her why we were upset she interrupted and “apologized.” She never took responsibility. Food was decent not great not bad and my family will 100% not be coming back here because of that bad taste left in our mouths. I was shocked to find out that she was an owner and cannot believe that the owner treats there customers with such disrespect and unnecessary attitude.
Momona
330 Main St Suite 100, Chico, CA 95928, United States
Momonas new updated location is the perfect blend of updated and upscale dining while also keeping the charm of the older building they renovated. The atmosphere had a great charm to it that felt more like laid back family style dining. The food and drinks came out quickly, which was a surprise as they where pretty packed for a Wednesday evening. Their new updated dinner and cocktail menu was great to see. I will say they do need to tweak a few things on some of their dishes and cocktail menu for my review to go from 3 to 5 stars. The chicken and waffles was good, but it needs a something like a maple syrup element to tie in the mochi waffle and the chicken. A spicy maple syrup would have been perfect to cut the dryness of the waffle. Also, who makes a chicken and waffle dish and does not have a syrup! The Shrimp and Rice was tasty with a warm and savory coating to it but it needed something like Siracha mayo to coat the rice a little since the fried rice was dry. I also hate when you pay almost $20 for a shrimp meal and you have to de shell the shrimp yourself. It is a messy process. The kimchi and bao where as always amazing and will be my number one item I come back to purchase every time. The reason for the three stars is the cocktails flavor profiles VERY where off. Started with a cocktail that had a orange citrus flavor and oat milk and tapioca pearls. The tapioca where rock hard and we could not enjoy them at all and the oat-milk did nothing to defuse the acidic flavor in drink from the orange they added. The cocktail needed an herbal element to it to cut the acidity. My friend had a drink that was very tropical TeKi drink but it was over powering in its rye whiskey and sugar, making it very had to enjoy. The last drink we got was the Suzie Q, which was very off in its flavor profile as it tasted like straight up soap. Something about the yuzu, sake and green chartreuse did not pare well all and all three in my party thought it was the most unpalatable cocktail of all three. For $12 cocktails, these need to be slightly more refined in order for me to try them again.I will go back again for sure but hope they continue to work on some of these dishes so it goes from good to great!
The Pour House
855 East Ave #270, Chico, CA 95926, United States
Finally got around to visiting this establishment yesterday with my Wife, primarily for Happy Hour. I mean, how can you go wrong with 1/2 off drinks and appetizers...which we went for. Seating inside was immediate, and once we placed our order, it was a matter of minutes before our appetizers arrived. We ordered (pictured left to right), the Carnitas Pork Tacos, Rolled Chicken Tacos, Garlic Fries, and the Ahi Poke Mini Tostadas. Every dish was hot and fresh, with the exception of the Poke, and stacked with fresh ingredients. The accompanied sauces (sweet and smoky salsa for the tacos...pineapple salsa for the Ahi Poke) were extremely tasty and fresh as well. Plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of fresh garlic was piled on the fries, which added a sharp contrast to the tastes of our other dishes. We both savored the texture of the Ahi, which just about melted in our mouths, and relished the Pork Tacos, which had so much meat you couldnt pick it up to eat them. The rolled Tacos were basic, but the salsa made up for it. More than enough food for 2 people, but we still tried a dessert, which turned out to be the Lemon Raspberry cheesecake. I turned out to be just that... Graham Cracker crust, Lemon cake, Raspberry spread, Cream cheese icing, Lemon chocolate shavings, whipped cream, and a Strawberry slice. It looked OK, tasted ok, but it wasnt a true cheesecake by any standard. I did mention it to the server and manager (both very friendly and understanding) and was comped for it with an apology (which we didnt need or want! ?) An overall great experience, one we will go back for to have a larger meal. Inside the restaurant, its noisier than outside... well sit on the patio for a more quiet experience and fresh air.
