Gen Korean BBQ House
3370 Grand Ave, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
There are two young waiters in particular at Gen that are amazing. They provide amazing service. Last time my husband, myself, and our good friend went to Gen, Chino Hills, the restaurant was very busy. However, these two young waiters pretty much handled the entire restaurant and the service they provided was just stellar. My husband, myself, and a good friend dined at Gen Chino Hills this past Saturday night. I had called ahead and asked what the wait was because in the past they didn’t take reservations for smaller parties, not sure what the policy is currently Anyway, we were quoted about 5 or 10 minutes. We had gone in the early evening, while it was still light out and it was extremely hot last Saturday. There are seats outside, but there isn’t any way I could have sat outside due to my disability and the fact that it was very hot out. We were waiting longer than 10 minutes, which would have been fine if I had a place to sit down. I kindly told the host, or perhaps he was a manager, not sure, that I am disabled and can’t really stand much anymore. He pointed me to a table, that my husband, myself, and our friend could wait at, while waiting to be seated to our actual table. I appreciate little things like this. However, before we even sat down we were shown to the booth that we would be dining at. This was a great start. We had two waiters, I don’t know their names, but they were probably in their twenties. These two waiter’s provided us with excellent service. The grill was changed frequently, which we appreciate so much. The food was excellent. Our experience at Gen Korean BBQ this past Saturday was fantastic. The three or us, my husband, myself, and a good friend that was with us, can’t wait for the opportunity to dine at Gen again! Also, the one in Chino Hills, is one of our favorite locations.
Wang Cho BBQ
3911 Grand Ave, Chino, CA 91710, United States
This was my first time trying Korean BBQ. Lacking experience with other Korean restaurants I can not really compare Wang Cho to them. What I can say is the the meats were excellent and the service was great. I left happy and stuffed. Try the Spicy Red Squid. It was outstanding. I will definitely be back to try everything I did not get to on this trip.
Love Letter Pizza & Chicken
3277 Grand Ave H, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
The food itself is okay, if you like Korean style chicken and alternate takes on pizza. The service is downright terrible. When I went there on a group outing, we ordered separately and to go, due to differing schedules that would force some people to leave at different times. It still should have been a simple enough affair, since we had over an hour free.Despite my order being an earlier one, others in my group got their food far before mine. I waited over an hour, periodically asking about my order and being reassured that my order was coming. People who ordered after me yet received their food before me had sat down to munch while accompanying me.Then I was told that they forgot to do my order. The rest of my group had already finished their food, and it was almost time for the group to head back. The waitress and manager offered a very anemic apology, seeming to believe a free bottle of cheap soda would suffice for a wait of more than an hour for no good reason. This is with knowing that it make me waste even more time waiting for food they hadnt even started making.I demanded a refund. They went through a big production of having trouble reversing my credit card charges. I made sure to also keep pestering for a copy of the reversed charges, to ensure I had a record of what happened, and to see the original signed receipt, so that I could cross out my signature and void it. It took them so long just to understand why I would want to do so.Through all this, the apologies, both about the food and about the refund, always came with a claimed caveat that it wasnt that persons fault. No one was willing to take responsibility. If you like the food at Love Letter, go to a different branch. The one in Chino Hills will likely leave you disappointed at best, angry at worst.
Young Dong Tofu
3233 Grand Ave H, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Young Dong Tofu is a constant hustling and bustling restaurant in the heart of Chino Hills. They’re one of the best Korean restaurants in the city and the proof is in how busy they are for lunch and dinner service. We came here on a Friday evening around 6pm and waited at least a half hour.We ordered the bbq beef rib combo (with mushroom tofu soup), bbq beef combo (with dumpling tofu soup) and a seafood pancake. Their banchan (cold side dishes) are absolutely delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered and had a ton of leftovers to have for breakfast the next day, which is always a nice treat.Because they have a small staff, you will need to feel comfortable flagging them down for service by raising your hand. They turn tables over fairly quickly and do the best they can with who they have. We would come back or order takeout from here next time.
Chodang Tofu House
4200 Chino Hills Pkwy #130, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
This is our favorite Korean restaurant in Chino Hills. It serves authentic Korean dishes including Kalbitang (beef bone soup) and the dumplings. The side dishes are always decent and change often. You won’t be disappointed here if you are hungry for Korean food. The staff has always been super friendly and attentive.
Seoul Tofu & Grill
2545 Chino Hills Pkwy I, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Seoul Tofu and Grill is probably the best authentic Korean food youre going to get around Chino/Chino Hills. These restaurants are kind of rare around Chino area and you would have to go someone else like diamond to get food like this but this place really hits the spot. Not only is the service amazing here with the waitresses being kind, but also the food here is really good. This was my first time coming to this restaurant and my o my am I impressed. The Beef Tofu Soup (소고기순두부) which is something I usually get in restaurants like this is very good. It is something that I would recommend if you are a meat lover like me. Also the B.B.Q Beef Ribs (갈비) is also very good with it being cooked perfectly to my taste. 갈비 is one of my most favorite meats in the world and this place had nailed it in terms of its tastes and quality. While I cannot say for those who love spicy food since I sadly cannot handle spicy food, I am for sure that the spicy dishes here are really good too. Overall i recommend coming to this place especially if you want to try out Korean food or if you love to eat Korean food.
bb.q Chicken Chino Hills

Had a great experience at a different Korean restaurant with fried chicken that was amazing.Unfortunately this experience here was no where near my prior Korean chicken experience. Unfortunately I cant recommend this place for Korean fried chicken.
U Grill Korean Bbq

Went there for late lunch 2 adults & 1 child and not crowdedAYCE $20.995-9 yrs old $11.9918% gratuity for parties of 10 or moreBefore get seating is need to QR scanner to get the menu. They give me paper menu after I had tried few times and doesnt work.We noticed there are more workers than customers. We gets our orders pretty quick. Not many choices as other places20 meats choice2 Intestine choice1 shrimp1 Calamari9 SidesI usually get none marinated meat so is limited down to 6 out of 20. Meat quality is okay for the price. Meats have some taste that bother me. Is like taste come kind of chemical. I also taste the same thing on hot tea and salad. I did get few marinated meats but over all the flavors is salty. Maybe, that why table front of meal order sodas. My niece really like the corn and cheese and I agree with her. Its best sides I had there.Steamed egg - 1st one was good but 2nd one is a little saltyKorean party noodle soup - white noodle with shredded seaweed and broth is saltySoft tofu stew - is more spicy than I though. I did not eat much of itEach person get a bowl of steam rice. There is not purple rice.Salad only have lettuce and dressing. Is one most plain salad I had compared to other KBBQ places. There are rice paper is no on the menu, needs to ask for it.I probably dont go back there. There are 2 korean bbq close to my house and tasty better even the price a little higher.
Seoul Haus
3410 Grand Ave ste h, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
One of the newer Korean Food joints in the area! Have actually been here a few times before writing this review. The staff is extremely nice, and even though some of them don't speak English (which I'm assuming it's a good thing because you know the food must be authentic). They offer different type of Korean food compared to some of the others in the area. They for example have sul lang tang, where you can add your own salt. From that to a flavorful beef rib dish with noodles and rice cake inside. There is a good amount of seating, and the place is really clean.FoodI love the barley tea that they serve, and how they give you the tools you need like the tongs and scissors to cut the meat. Their Bulgogi is very special too, not the usual beef we see from other places, but more like ground meat together cooked on a hot plate. Their cold noodle is refreshing, and they have a good amount of different ban chan that goes with the food.Seems like anything you order, you can't really go wrong, cannot wait to try other things on the menu! Until next time!
Pelicana Chicken - Chino
4021 Grand Ave Suite B, Chino, CA 91710, United States
Amazing quality chicken sandwich. Tender juicy meat, savory garlic sauce but not overpowering, soft fresh bun, the fries are great. And the price is right - $13. The nearby kbbq restaurants have some real competition from this place. Ambiance is good clean and feels like a hip Korean restaurant. Free cheese balls - nice touch!
