moonbowls (Healthy Korean Bowls - Culver City)
5660 Selmaraine Dr, Culver City, CA 90230, United States
Contrary to most reviews our food came fast. It was good while it was hot and then as we kept eating it got less and less edible. The chicken in the hot chicken bowl and the flash fried cauliflower in my build your own bowl tasted like it had just been frozen and reheated and was very chewy. Kimchi was horrible. Tasted watered down and gentrified. No bite, vinegary, garlic flavor at all. Felt like I was just eating slightly spoiled cabbage. Impossible potstickers we're tasted good but they fell apart and stuck together. I think they were overstuffed. I also think that I didn't get the sauce meant for my bowl bc the flavor was pretty bland. I did really like the kale and other vegggies in the bowl. Overall it was nice to try something new but the food was just okay. I probably won't go back.

This place is insanely good and I am seriously addicted, it is near my work and I went literally everyday this week and coming back during the weekend with friends! The umami is real no matter what protein and side you choose and their drinks is soooo refreshing, I had to ask what it is and the manager said they cured with real fruits and make it from scratch! You gotta be careful with their pudding, its so good and disappears so quick and you want another one!

The best customer service! I wish I would of asked her name, but the cashier is AMAZING. Very smart, diligent, RESPECTFUL. This restaurant is clean and organized. They have sauces pre packaged, and also an EXCELLENT idea to place squeeze bottles on the tables so that people don't have to pile up by the sauces and cause traffic. The CHEFS at this location KNOW how to cook your food. They understand what WELL DONE means! And always tastes sooooo much better than the other locations. A+++Thank You for your hospitality:)

The soft tofu stew here is the best Ive ever had at a Korean restaurant.I thought it was better than the soft tofu I had at a Korean restaurant because it was spicy and not salty. The owner was also very kind and friendly. If I lived here, I might become a regular ?This is real korean food!

Wow! We were so impressed with our food: N-Seoul bowl and pho! I’m not a fan of quinoa but the korean bulgogi marinated “meat” adds flavors and being complimented with many small healthy sides like kimchi with probiotics - yum! The pho was gigantic, I asked for couple of lime wedges and it was a bomb!!! One of the best vegan restaurants in the area around Venice! Cute interior and friendly staff, we live in San Francisco but definitely will come when in the area!

I've been using a GoPro for 3 years now for safety and security purposes, and I've never had any restaurant or business tell me to turn it off. A restaurant or business can say whatever they want to a catering company that places orders with them, regardless if it's true or not. I need proof on my end that I am picking up all the food that is given to me. There's been times where I've asked a restaurant “is this everything” and they tell me “yes” and they end up forgetting something then try and tell my catering company that they gave me the item they never gave me, and the footage doesn't lie. And if I'd just go ask them for the footage, they're financially obligated to not provide it to me to protect their image and likeness. And for catering orders it's not as simple as “checking the receipt” because a lot of restaurants will have catering packages labeled as “1 item” that will come with 4 different containers. In these situations, I'm not able to verify every single item that comes with that one package. This puts my job and livelihood at risk, which is why I record. I entered Culver City Cuisine for the first (and last) time attempting to pick up a catering order. After going through their egregious process of filling out an intake form (like I was there for a doctor's appointment), the gentlemen at the front counter instructed me to turn off my GoPro. He informed me it was “illegal” for me to be recording, which isn't true under current California or federal law. This company should really educate their employees better on what common laws are regarding small businesses. I ended up refused to turn it off, and I asked him specifically if he wanted me to leave which he did not answer, but instead went and got my catering order that I picked up and delivered. Luckily, I won't have to try hard to avoid this place, as I never plan on working in that area ever again.

This location popped up as an interesting place to visit. We called a little earlier to see if they would take reservations the day of, but found out that it was primarily a walk-in. When we arrived near the location, parking was relatively easy to find. We got pretty lucky, and I can see how parking would be tough though for this location. When we arrived at the front of the restaurant, there was literally a line out the front door and barely any seating available. I'd say we waited probably 15-20 minutes in line before we were able to order any food. Fortunately, it gave us enough time to figure out what exactly we wanted.Inside the restaurant, at the front, there was a bakery where they were serving a couple of different items. They were also selling additional items like coffee, honey, and some specialty items like Oishii strawberries that I ended up grabbing. We were both hungry for lunch so we didn't grab anything from the bakery. We ended up ordering a Heirloom Potato Waffle, Koshihikari Rice Porridge, and Forestberry Bavarian. One thing to be aware of is that they had an additional up charge for employee benefits (5%) over the standard tax.Once we ordered our items, we left the front to find that there was no seating available. We stood for around 20 minutes when a waiter came up to us to see if she could find us a table to start eating. Fortunately, two tables opened up around the time the Heirloom Potato Waffle was being served. Shortly after, the Forestberry Bavarian (dessert) was served. When the server came by again, I asked where the rice porridge was and from my understanding she indicated (in Spanish) that she would check on it. I was grateful that the person I came with understood some Spanish because I don't speak it. Another 25-30 minutes went by and I still hadn't heard anything. I ended up going and asking the employee at the cash register; they mentioned that there was a delay where they were missing an ingredient so they were in the process of making 12 Rice Porridges. I received my food probably 10-15 minutes after that (1 hour total after ordering). I was disappointed to say the least that I'd waited that long (why I'm giving a 4), but the food was pretty good.I'm not a huge fan of kale in any form but the mix of greens + potato waffle + egg + kale was quite nice. The Forestberry Bavarian was delicious; I couldn't stop eating it and the frangipane was delightful. I couldn't really figure out what all the ingredients were, but the ingredients went incredibly well together. Not only was this dish sweet, but it was also a little tart. Lastly, the rice porridge was surprising. I felt like I encountered a couple of different surprises each time I had a bite. I didn't expect the hidden poached egg underneath the bed of rice porridge. The onions were incredibly tasty. Overall, the aesthetic and visual experience of every item was quite amazing. I'd recommend everyone come here and give Destroyer a try!

Their shroom Burgers r delicious so are their regular burgers. They have a new Korean Bbq burger for a limited time. Very clean. Polite, attentive customer service. Yesenia took her time to answer my questions about the menu. Felt very welcomed . Personalized customer service. That you don't normally expect. Been to other Shake Shacks in Downtown & Manhattan Beach. The service & the food were always on point. But Yesenia has taken my experience to the next level. Seeing how involved & helpful she was towards other guests as well. I felt welcomed to sit there enjoy my food. & come back. Not just grab something in a rush on the go.
