Noodle World
700 Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91803, United States
Still one of my go to places for some grub. The food is always bomb! The only thing I think that lacks in this place is the service. Always waiting for a long time for any services. I waited about 5 minutes for a pick up order that was already done. While I was waiting today, someone said that weve been waiting more than 30 mins for a table, walked up to the register, and they finally got seat. Besides that, now the good part.... the foodies!!!My always go to plates are the Spicy Spaghetti with Beef, Hainan Fried Chicken, Pad See Ew with Chicken, Beef Steak with Fried Rice, and Mango Sticky Rice. To be honest tho, I dont think there has been a dish that I tried here and disliked. Its always good for whatever I order. Yakisoba dishes are great. Pad Thai is delish! Mint leaf Chicken spicy and yummy! Spicy Druken Noodles!!! I think I can go on and on!All in all, good part of this place is the food!!!! Bad part is the service! I guess we cant have it all..... or can we? Then again, its been like this for a long time. Food has been good since I started in 2000. 24 years and still going.... not sure how long theyve been open before I started, but thats that. Services is usually about the same tho. They really need more staffs.

HEJI GUILIN RICE NOODLE
United States, California, Alhambra, E Main St, 邮政编码: 91801
One of the ceilings of Guilin Rice Noodles in Los Angeles! Formerly known as rosemead's backyard rice noodles!- Sanpin Gan Lao: the classic among classics! The portion of meat is very generous, and the price is very affordable. It can be said to be the lowest price in Los Angeles!- Beef Brisket Clear Soup Noodles: The soup is very fresh, slightly spicy, and tastes very warm!

The Congee
19 Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91801, United States
A typical hole in the wall noodles shop. The core products are the unusually large wonton noodles, liver soup, and abalone congee. Not recommending potstickers. They are just ok, a bit blend. The quality is above average but would need to repaint the wall and clean up the decor.

Asia Supermarket
910 W Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91803, United States
Came across an LA Times article recently that there was Burmese food being sold at this market. Not sure why its difficult to find Burmese food in LA - its pretty ubiquitous up North. Anyway, decided to check it out on a recent trip to SGV. This review is primarily on my experience with their Burmese food selection & pricing. Generally, the store seemed well kept, clean, mid size with assortment of various Asian goods/grocery, decent parking lot & there was only one cashier (though it was not a busy time). It looked like there was a counter called Asia Food Express advertising Burmese food in addition to sushi, teriyaki & poke bowl. It was not operational when I visited & the cashier couldnt give me any info (probably a language barrier - my Chinese is non existent & she may have been speaking Burmese). She did point me to a cooler/table area where some pre-packaged Burmese food was sold. I found two types of Burmese noodle (Shan noodle salad with a little bit of chicken & rice noodle salad with lots of fried garlic) which seemed prepared fresh to be sold for the day. There was yellow tofu with sauce which is a popular Burmese dish. There was also an assortment of dessert & side dishes (dried shrimp with chili, pickled tea leaves, dried anchovy, etc). There was also bags of fried fritters sold at the cashier. I self helped myself & picked up two of the noodle dishes ($ 9.99 each), dried shrimp with chili ($ 5.99 & $ 9.99), a bag of fritters ($ 10 - I keep it in freezer for future use) and two bags of dessert (similar to cendol, $ 3 each). Enjoyed them when I got home. The food was fresh, tasty & authentic. It was a fun discovery but thought the pricing was on the high side.

I passed by the neighborhood for work and it felt quite clean. I had a simple meal and ordered cold dishes, cold noodles, and pork head meat. As a northerner, I can honestly say that his smoked pork head is very authentic. Its not salty and tastes light. Its just right to eat directly. People who drink it may find it a bit bland. The shop is not big, you can see the kitchen, and it is very clean. I like this kind of simple restaurant. You can see the environment in which the food is cooked, which makes people feel very reassured. Before leaving, I packed pig heads and ears. They could also help cut the meat and make cold dishes. Overall, it was a good experience and I will come again~

Min Min Pie House
405 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801, United States
Drove by this place a lot while we went shopping at Good Fortune Market across street. My husband is a big fan of pan fried buns so we decided to check it out. Before came here, I looked at their menu and it had extensive and authentic flavors for dumplings and pies. That's how I knew they were legit!!We came on a rainy Saturday around 11:30am there were only two other tables. I feel on a nice day it would be busier. For food we got:- pork scallion pie (5/5). Wowwwww a must try!! It was so juicy and flavorful. The outside is perfectly crispy. This is our favorite and we definitely will try other flavors next time.- pan fried chicken mushroom dumplings (5/5). I love the dumpling skin as you can taste the slightly chew and that's how you know it's handmade!- cucumber salad (5/5). Very refreshing and balance out the richness of all the fried dumplings.- pan fried bun (4/5). This is probably my least favorite although it's still pretty good. It doesn't have much juice as I thought it would like the pie. So I'll stick with the pies next time.No fuss service. You order via QR code and food comes out around 10-15 minutes. They have a sign to explain the 15 min wait due to all handmade to order which is well worth it!! This has become our new go-to for weekend brunch.

Dagu Rice Noodle
2 E Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91801, United States
The name on the menu seems... off . Crossing the street soup is what I get and I cant help but think this must be some kind of lost in translation thing . Nevertheless the ingredients on my soup are all separated which then I proceed to add it all to the soup and wonder why they even bother separating it. I now learn that I couldve use less of the green seasoning thing because I like the original broth they have as is already. Ok maybe with a little seasoning. The food is not bad. While maybe the portion seems a bit small, that is actually enough for me . I believe you can add another bowl of those rice noodle for free ? Im not sure, I only guess based on what my next table does, which I never had to find out since I didnt need it. I barely able to finish my food. Price is pretty fair since thats how much other hot pot like boiling point cost nowadays. And they have the check in yelp get ice tea deal right now. Dont know how long that will last. Also get the stamp card if you like this place. They didnt offer me but I happen to see picture of it on yelp so I ask for it.Service is pretty decent, they dont have a rude Chinese server (or at least not when I was there )I will most likely come back to this place .

Kosuke
618-B W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801, United States
Tasty ramen but with three main issues. 1: Line/que can be ridiculous, on busy days it can reach 30 minutes waiting outside on the street, and is caused by problem 2: they are small and slow. A bowl of noodles can take 20 minutes (30 on a busy day) from ordering to getting on the table. Usually shall places are fast. Usually ramen places are fast. This place is neither. 3: while tasty, the noodles are very salty. You wont feel it while eating, but youll be drinking a lot of water after, and probably a poor night of sleep if you are sensitive to that. Cosy shop thats at the edge of Alhambra downtown, Kosuke isnt a bad place for ramen, but I would go very often.

Pho Saigon Pasteur
235 W Main St A, Alhambra, CA 91801, United States
I’ve had a lot of Pho, including from those in the Little Saigon area. I ordered the brisket Pho with fresh (thicker noodles - you would have to request this). The key ingredient, the broth was amazing. You can tell when MSG is added for flavor when the broth is cloudy. As you can see from the pic, this broth was clear which means little to no MSG and only the key ingredients to make an incredible broth. The brisket and noodles were generous with just the right amount of broth. While there are many Pho shops there are very few it any that match this quality in presentation, taste and serving size. This is my favorite Pho spot. Even compared to Pho spots in OC we can’t think of a place better than this.We drove 35 minutes to get here and will gladly come back.
