This place makes the BEST PHO I have EVER had in my life!! The broth is seasoned to perfection. The vegetables are always so crisp and fresh! The Daikon is my favorite! The service is absolutely amazing! Fast and efficient and they do not skimp on the bowls!! And all for an EXTREMELY affordable price!! Nothing like all these other overpriced, underseasoned places on Marin. The staff are all so professional, kind, and accomodating. The best part, besides the Pho, is the music and the atmosphere!! A little bit of everything for EVERYONE! Love this place!

The Doctor Makes House Calls??? 2004 360 Modena issue suspension, analyzed and repaired!House Calls, almost unheard of these days, but Jessie came out to the house to help analyze an issue that seemed to represent itself turning out of the driveway going down hill. After extensive diagnostics, the sound turned out to be a tie-rod end and not a wheel bearing, first suspect, which would have been much more expensive. The process, they replaced the wheel bearing which didnt solve the problem, the original bearing was refitted, I really appreciated not having to pay for something the car didnt need ... thats honesty and integrity in the repair process, plus excellent communications during the noodling out of the problem solving process.In the end, excellent experience, took some time, and got it right! 5 Gold Stars to the SFMS team, on this project!Theyre a full service shop, they baby sat my 360 Modena and XK8 Convertible for two months this summer while on vacation, the XK8 had some minor repairs done, so back home better than before.In short, Highly Recommended.DAS, San Rafael, CA

We decided to walk up and down 4th Street on a Friday evening and pick a random place for dinner, finally choosing The State Room because it seemed to have more energy than most of its neighboring restaurants.We were easily seated without a reservation at 5:30, but by 6:00 the place was filling up. Wouldnt be a bad idea to get a reservation. Its a very lively happy hour. Thats what I liked best about the State Room. Its got a great energy.Im not really sure what the ambiance is going for…sort of a warm sports bar industrial feel with old timey style pictures. It feels a little like an ai curated Pinterest board urban chic. I actually googled to see if this is a chain. I dont think it is, but it gives off those kind of vibesWe had very prompt and efficient service, except after we had finished eating and the table was cleared. I mean, the server checked in on us three times throughout the meal, but once we were ready to pack it up, he was nowhere to be seen. Im sure this was just an anomaly, but its a pet peeve of mine…having to sit for a long time at an empty table, then having to hunt down the server to get the bill.The food was fine. I had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. Others at my table had the Fried Chicken and the Creole Special. You can certainly order a variety of food, there is no special focus. We all agreed our dishes were perfectly adequate.My recommendation is to visit The State Room with friends and hang out at the lively bar. If youre looking for a memorable meal, you might try elsewhere. Again, not bad, just nothing special.

This is my new go to for take out Thai food. The food is good, simple, and you can ask for no onions and no spicy for kids and they actually will follow through on the requests.This is not a high end Thai. the menu is large but basic. It also is not bargain basement the prices are only a dollar cheaper per dish than other local Thai restaurants ( of which there are many)The restaurant itself is TINY. With the pandemic the inside is just for pickup. But there are at least 6 tables outside on a platform to enjoy on warm days & evenings. In the summer time the city often closes off the street to cars, people stroll the street and bands play in the distance.Finally, and most importantly. They only take CASH. (No credit card). The menu is online. Parking is limited to street parking (meters)

I discovered Aloh-o while looking for a quick lunch place while in the shopping mall.I thought of poke bowl as a deconstructed sushi.It has vegetables like cucumber, seaweed salad, edamame, avocado and crispy onions as toppings. Or you could also choose all of available toppings to be added.I ordered them at the counter and they were ready in 5-7 minutes.They also have an extensive selection of Asian snacks & cookies that are often only available to purchase at an Asian grocery stores.Even though it looks small in a to-go bowl, I felt so full after finishing it.It's a great inexpensive healthy meal to pick up without much planning.A lot of people order and pick up boba teas to go as well.This place deserves more customers to try their sushi & poke bowls.

As someone posted about a week ago something is wrong with their takeout service. Called in an order, they told me 15 mins for pick up. When I arrived there were several people waiting out front. A lady would open a locked door, call out a name, give them a bill and take a payment. About 15 minutes later they got there food. I saw this happen 4 times. After being there for 30 minutes I asked if they had started on my order they had not. Frustrating as the woman twice asked my name when she took payments from others. Maybe they lost my order. After waiting for 30 minutes, total 45 minutes after my order I told them to cancel it. I received no apology or acknowledgment that they even cared or interested and in serving me. I went down the street to Bay Thai got a meal to go, which was great. And I got great service and was treated with respect. Like they were appreciative of my business. Thai Smile might have good food, but based on my experience they don't have much respect for their customers. Be ready for a long wait if you order food to go. Meanwhile, I'm going to take my business where lt's appreciated.

The first bahn mi sandwich I had was in San Francisco was about 5 years ago. (2014) It was my first experience eating a Vietnamese sandwich. Although I dont remember the name of the place I ordered from, I do remember the sandwich being very delicious. Very fresh. Very filling, and a flavor of its own. I left really satisfied and thinking Bahn mi is something I cant wait to try back in Marin where I live . I didnt realize this was going to be such a hard task. The first time I saw the Bahn mi zon food truck parked near my work I was hooked. I would get a different sandwich for my lunch once a month or even every other week. I have since tried other Vietnamese sandwiches around loacal. They are all good. But lacking an authentic flavour. I knew Bahn Mi Zon had just opened recently and finally decided to give them a shot. The place was so clean and the menu had bowl options if you dont want a sandwich. Thai tea which I ordered and enjoyed greatly. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The sandwich was exactly what I was expect from an authentic Bahn mi. (I got the Traditional) Very delicious sandwich. Worth the price. Very filling and if your feeling extra hungry, you have options to add extras. I am looking forward to my next trip back to try different sandwich or a different item. YUM!

Theives.I've stopped shopping at this market for a while now since I caught them putting my bill and extra $25 a couple of years ago. My husband still shops there on occasion. Today my husband caught them commiting the same thievery with him. The funny thing is that when you go back and discuss it with them they deny it flatly until you go over the math with them item by item. No apologies either. They're definitely skimming their customers.If you insist on shopping with them I advise you to always check your bill item by item. Otherwise take a trip over to El Cerrito and shop at 99 Ranch where you'll find better deals and much more variety.

If I could give them zero stars I would.I eat out breakfast 6 days a week, we opened a new cabinet company right down the street from this place. I have gone in 3 times in recent months and today was literally threatened by the staff becouse I wanted to make a complaint. I was lied to about who the maniger was, I was refused infirmation so I could fine a complaint I was told I was a homeless scum bag and they didn't want my business anyways. When I told them I was going to contact the better business burrow I was told that it was their word against mine and I'm oviously a scum bag and they didn't want my business anyways.This is literally the worst breakfast place in marin. The food is Mediocre, at best, the service is lacking and no one is warring gloves or hair nets while preparing food. For Christ sakes there's two pictures of the staff not eating any of this stuff behind the counter in their web site. when did it become a privilege to spend my money, what happened to people being happy to have my money and have me return to their business. Literally Theresa and Johnny's in San Rafael And the hummingbird in fairfax are way better and way better prices. Hell Ihop is better food with better prices and that old school mentality where they are happy to see you even if you are a return costumer.My co worker went in this morning and got 2 breakfast Barrettos and he got sick from his.This expierence has made me Lugubrious and I will tell everyone not To go here and I will be calling the better business burrow and the health department.I have been receiving prank called ever time I edit this review. Infact I just received a call from someone named James snider and someone else and in the words spoken to me by the staff at his restraunt I am going to make a report to the police for harassing me!Appears Denna has several bad reviews maybe there's a theme going on here!
