Dumpling Hours
United States, California, Walnut Creek, N Main St, 邮政编码: 94596
Fast and bustling little shop. Waited 30 mins on Saturday night for 2. The tables move quickly so it shouldn’t be that long of wait. Dumplings were fresh and handmade as you can see in the open kitchen. Food came really quickly too unless you order the XLB. The crushed cucumbers came in a big plate however smaller pieces would have been more enjoyable. The pan fried buns were delicious but the ginger scallion noodles were the best!! The original XLB was kind of plain, so consider spicy.Staff was pleasant and smiling. Service was quick. Atmosphere was casual. They also have outdoor dining!

Sala Thai Restaurant
3241 Walnut Ave, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Overall: 4.4/5Came here for Sunday lunch right when they opened at noon so we got seated right away for a party of 7. They have QR codes on the table for you to order online if you want but also provided menus in case you want to order with the waitresses. The menu is pretty extensive but since we were a big group, we ordered all different items to share family style. The place started to get crowded by the time we put in our order online and there was a line by the time we left.Roti Canai ($6.95): The roti was flat, flakey, & tasted like a green onion pancake without the green onion. It came with a curry sauce that wasnt too strong since it had a more watery consistency than regular curry. It was good but not worth it. The portion is small too.Golden Tofu ($7.95): The tofu looks pretty normal but the way they fry it kept the tofu soft inside. But the best part of the dish was actually the peanut sauce. It was delicious so you just have to get the tofu coated in it.Crab Fried Rice ($18.95): This fried rice is so good in multiple ways. The first is by itself. The seasoning is light but theres enough taste from the ingredients like the crab and oil that it gives the fried rice just enough flavor. The second way we ate the rice was with the crispy fish and its sauce. The third way was with the duck curry. Both the 2nd and 3rd way give you a depth of umami that just complements the fried rice.Crispy Fish With Sweet Garlic Sauce ($17.95): This is their special dish and a must have! We got two orders for the table since they give huge pieces of fish but small quantity. The fish is really crispy - fried to perfection. The sauce is also amazing. You have to drizzle it on the fish and the fried rice *chefs kissDuck Curry ($16.95): Im really bummed that Thai restaurants dont give rice with curry dishes anymore. We ate this with the crab fried rice instead. The duck was very tender and the curry was packed full of flavors. I didnt think it was salty but my family thought it was a bit. I do think the prices for Thai curry is pretty steep for the small portion size though.Pad Thai With Chicken ($14.95): This is good if you eat it before the crispy fish and duck curry because those dishes are really umami so it will change your palette taste for the pad thai afterwards. The pad Thai is not a specialty here and we had better at other Thai restaurants so you can skip this item.Basil Chicken Entree ($14.95): My brother got this since hes on a strict diet but it was not good. The chicken was kinda bland at the beginning since it hasnt had time to soak up the sauce but after 20 minutes, the chicken was very salty. The bell pepper was a bit undercooked too. Hard pass.

My Lunch Spot
667 S Brea Canyon Rd #20A, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
Im a local truck driver, and I happened to take a 30 minute break just down the street from My Lunch Spot. I was hungry and I needed a restroom, so I went to their sandwich shop. The restroom was only for employees, which I totally understand, but when the owner learned that I was a truck driver (and very hungry ?), she was more than happy to let me use their restroom. She was so nice about it, explaining to me that her Mom has some health issues, which is the main reason she limits the people using the facilities. I agreed with her wanting to exercise caution to avoid exposing her Mom, yet she still allowed me to use their facilities. I also ordered a turkey and cranberry sandwich, and it was delicious and fresh. This place is a hidden gem that is run by the nicest people Ive met in my local travels!

kibis Cafe Walnut Creek
1981 N Broadway STE 115, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
Fantastic sandwiches at a great price. This place is not like a subway style sandwich shop. The sandwiches from Kibis are handmade, and made with care. While other reviewers have correctly stated the sandwiches take some time to make, this is about a 3 minute wait, and the result is very worth it. Plus, since the time of some of the reviews, a second staff has been added which helps with capacity. The sandwich is loaded with all the goodies you could ask for, and it all tastes delicious. If you are concerned about timing, you can text your order in beforehand and they will get it prepped for you to pick up. This is the Homemade Sandwich you wish you could make at home. Plus the coffee is excellent as well! Definitely worth checking out this shop.

Service was great! My mom is always shy and indecisive plus she only speaks Spanish amd they made us feel welcome and my mom even got a heart churro. Its a small sace and it gives it a home feel I liked the set up they have for the outside tables too it was so cute and relaxing and I think there was someone with their furr baby outside too. Thats always a plus for me. I had the mole chilaquiles they were so delicious and they hit the spot! It was th e mole poblano so dont expect it too spicy. My sister had the green chilaquiles with the egg and of course they were delicious. My mom for some reason was craving a sandwich and she really liked the one she got. Also, th e y le6 us try th e Cafe de hoya and champurrado before deciding both delicious! And the churros you get them with different varieties we got the original ones. This place is a must! We will be coming back!

Oke Poke
1529 Locust St, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
Ok, oke poke I have been coming for years. I have been doing intermittent fast I was really excited on my break to have poke. When we are arrived we were told because of the Sriracha shortage they were charging $.75 more for each sauce. I know that business is business and you got to make money but that was taking advantage of the situation. I wanted spicy tuna they said it would be $.75 more because it has Sriracha in it. Come on! When I questioned them they said look on Amazon to get an idea of how expensive the sauce is. I got 2 large bowls 1 soda. After asking for tip too, we ended up spending $56.00 something? On the way home I did look upSriracha on amazon they had bottles for $21 and some for $14. I know that restaurants don't pay those prices either. No way they should be charging this much more.

25 Degrees Huntington Beach

I am absolutely so upset with this place. This is the second time we have not been treated accordingly by the establishment. On Saturday, March 2nd we had friends come in from Anaheim. They arrived downtown before us so they picked 25°, with what had happened to me last time I would've never went back .But thee were already seated and had ordered a drink so we met them there About 3:45- 4 PM. We all ordered food, . We also split the chili so we could all have a small cup and we ordered an appetizer and half fries half onion rings . At about 6:45 they left and some other friends joined us since there was a small musician/band playing we stayed to listen to the music at about 9 PM 930 I was informed by the bartender that we were cut off, mind you we are almost 50 years old and locals to HB. I wasn't aware of this until I went up to buy the singer a beer that is when the bartender informed me that we were not to be served anymore. I said why ? and he said my manager Noah said that you have been here all day and haven't eaten (I did not see nNoah there during the day when we ate ) I said actually we've been here since four and we ate over $100 worth of just food between four of us which isn't hard to do there. They said you cannot just keep hanging out here drinking without eating. I explained again that we had already eaten. At that point I was so upset. I said we will leave, there was about eight of us at this point, and I said I will happily go give our money to another establishment downtown, any of them could use it. Even the man that was singing confused as we were leaving he said “we will see you all around somewhere soon” thanked us for supporting him, and he shook his head in disbelief. Noah was rude unprofessional, and did not have his facts straight before he decided to cut off that many people. I will not be going back to this place, I would advise anyone in town to choose somewhere else. I honestly can't even remember if ever there has been a time I've been cut off at a bar/restaurant. It was absolutely ridiculous.

Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar
1511 Mt Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States
I went there twice in 2 weeks actually. They have a nice outdoor patio under a giant Oak tree. I thought the waiters were not nice at all the first time, and good the second time. The first time I went it for my best friends birthday. We were 2 women. I had told them that in the reservation which I had made 2 weeks before.. They shoved us on the path leading to the pretty area. The table and chairs were uneven and wobbled. They ignored us completely for 1/2 hour, when I flagged down a waiter and said, excuse me, but could you send our waiter over please? He said, I am your waiter. They offer small plates there. . She had ordered a taco, which was actually small, and I ordered roasted beet salad. .. The beets were good EXCEPT they were covered with an IMMESE sour cream and cheese type topping. It completely smothered the beets and was so rich it was actually gross. It was about 2500 calories. I tried to scrape off as much as I could, but it was like slime. Then, I order a slice of cake for my friend, carrot cake. We were given a tiny piece, which was fine with me. Then, minutes later a giant piece of carrot cake was plopped down in front of us. We were confused, and I wanted to ask the waiter about it. We waited and waited and finally went looking for him. I was told that the small piece was gratis and it was because I had told them it was her birthday. That was very nice of them! If only they had explained when we ordered that we were already about to get that same cake. They never explained. I asked them to take back the second piece but they did not want to, and although we never touched it. Finally they did. Overall however, not fun. the second time was so much better. We were two couples who were seated t in a nice location. I ordered a squid salad but it was rubbery and weird tasting. The risotto looked good. The duck confit was dry and hard to eat. The smoked pork shoulder looked decent. Uneven experiences.
