Tacos El Rancho

Stay far away from this place! Lady at the front was so rude. Kept giving me and my mother a face of disgust. She was awfully rude and kept turning her back to us while we were trying to order, almost as if she was trying to ignore us. Ruined our dinner and mood. Told her numerous times to put green sauce on the tacos yet she still ended up putting red. My mom is extremely sensitive to spice but when she noticed her mistake after already putting it. She rolls her eyes and asks if we wanted her to make a new one. At that point I wanted to get out of there, I was irritated enough as is and her attitude was not necessary. On top of the fact that she overcharged for our food. We ordered a Chicken burrito that clearly states on the menu that it includes rice OR beans. Which means you have a choice between the two on the side. Clearly states on their website and DoorDash as well. Showed her proof and she still denied it saying “it comes IN the burrito” I have never wanted a refund more than I do now. Do not come here unless you want flavorless soggy food that they overcharge for. Also want to mention she was clearly trying to rush us out, as she continuously turned around as soon as any words left our mouths. I didn't even get to order my drink due to this. You can get much better food and service ANYWHERE else but here.

First time came in for phở since this was recommended by a friend 2nd time went with another group of friends and also had phở. This is a newly opened restaurant and everything was bright, nice and clean. I appreciated that there was no waiting line. Service was prompt very friendly and the waiter even stopped by after bringing out the food to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything else. Thats a huge plus for a Vietnamese restaurant and was appreciated. The broth was clear and tasty, a very lightly sweet for me but not too too bad. The accompanied vegetables was fresh however missing ngò gai which similar herb to basil but i always prefer that over basil. My friends really like her phở and she ate everything. Thats a true compliment because phở originated from Northern Vietnam and shes a Northerner. I ended up taking my ribs home because it wasnt as tender as I would like. There was complimentary desert of green bean with tapioca pearls which I adore. It was perfectly cooked the first time with not much sugar but a little bit too much sugar on the second time. Overall the experience was positive and I would probably come again if the meat could be cooked more tender and less sugar on the dessert. ? no problem with parking

Halalolu

After our recent travels to Istanbul, we were craving for some good Turkish food and spotted this place during our errands and decided to add to our “try next” list and I'm so happy we stopped by and was welcomed by the owner/staff and helped with some recommendations and even got to sample a few of their proteins prior to deciding our dishes. We ended up getting the shrimp bowl and the beef bowl and wow the amount of serving was an ample portion. Better servings than pre-chipotle times I'd say(iykyk). The bowls were packed with so many great and different flavors. I am a sauce girl so I had to drench my bowl with the garlic and hot sauce they provided. ?As Turkish traditions goes, there's complimentary Turkish tea available for after you finish your meal (to aid in digestion) and it was such a nostalgic feeling having tea after every meal in Turkey to be made available. We chatted briefly with the owner about our visit in Turkey and how we enjoyed visiting some of the famous sites and enjoying all the amazing food Turkey has to offer and how the food reminded us of it. If you ever want to try Turkish food, you must come here for that homely, street food experience.Thank you for the amazing food again!! Can't wait to visit again soon ?

Pho Nic

Visited Pho Nic a couple of days ago with my sister. It is in a shopping center with Ross, Costco and Subway with plenty of parking by the restaurant. The restaurant offers a good variety of noodle dishes, appetizers, rice dishes and vegan dishes. My sister ordered the Pho Combination with fresh noodle and I ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup. The staff is very efficient and attentive; the food came really quick. The broth was well seasoned and ingredients in our dishes were very fresh. Will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes and drinks.

Visited this Vegan restaurant at 5pm on a Sunday. Early dinner. The restaurant wasnt that busy while we were there. We were seated and given the menu. We ordered two dishes - The Royal Pho Noodle Soup and Claypot Ocean (serves with multigrain rice and a side of Heavenly Salad). The restaurant is very clean and neatly organized. There is also a patio dining area. The menu is quite extensive for vegan restaurant. Prices are reasonable. The dishes actually came out fast. We finished the food even faster. LOL! My husband said the soup for the pho can have more spice to it but I am also fine with the current level. My Claypot Ocean dish is actually seaweed wrapped soy protein (fake fish) with onion, black fungus, bell pepper and tofu. It goes well with the rice. The soy protein may be a bit too salty by itself but having it with rice is good. The Heavenly Salad is very fresh and refreshing. The lady behind the counter is very friendly and kind. I am assuming she is the owner. She came over to our table and asked if it was our first time there and also how do we like our food. We told her that it was our first time and we will definitely return to try the other food on the menu.

Meat quality is so damn delicious! The Short rib and skirt steak were our faves, we also tried the A5 wagyu and it was melt in your mouth delicious as well. Dont skip on the cartilage and sausage, if youre looking for great pairings to go with your beer. The Yukhae (raw beef dish) was super delicious and Im not a raw beef person in general. I would definitely order that again though. Get here early, about 15min before they open to avoid the lines. Its a small restaurant with mostly 4-tops, I saw maybe 1 table that could accommodate a party of 8-10 max, so if you have a larger party be prepared to sit separately. The service is great, they were on point with water refills and checking to see if we wanted to order any additional items. They have a weekday special for $67 where you can try 2 of our favorite meats + their miso chicken thigh, and the veggies it comes with are minimal (1pc pumpkin, couple pieces of bell pepper, and a slice of carrot). I heard their yookaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup) was good but we didnt try it this time. Also, dont sleep on their black sesame and yuzu ice cream!

Love how bright and clean the restaurant is. Nice setup as well. Most importantly, the meat quality was good. We opted for 3 different meat plates to try out (prime rib eye, choice rib eye, and pork belly), and all the meat quality was pretty good. Funny that we thought the prime rib eye would be the best, but we actually preferred the choice rib eye and pork belly better. So tender and soft. Loved that the veggies were crispy and fresh too.Service was fast and super friendly. I especially enjoyed the spicy sauce they recommended to try, it went so well with the sesame/goma sauce. It def added a good flavor to it. (Note: just one drop is enough. Only if you can handle heat really well, I tried two drops and it was quite spicy)Also, would recommend getting a complimentary bowl of kombu soy sauce from them, it was a nice mini treat to enjoy your ramen at the end of the meal. Enjoy!

Taste of Beauty

This is rare find for pretty healthy yummy and vegetarian restaurant. Located in the heart of Fountain Valley, the restaurant will be open to public soon. The foods are presented with unique flower arrangements which makes the dining experience so pleasant. The food is served in a preset menu:1. Pearl fresh - the soup in pot with assorted mushrooms, bamboo fungus, oolong tea leaves, and quail eggs2. Pink blossom - dragon fruit, pear and apple cold salad3. Hou kui tea tempura4. Soft jade - soft tofu salad5. Matsutake wonton6. Lakeside treasure - lotus root7. The best stuntman - steak mushroom that tasted like steak8. Potato love story - salt egg yolk with the red little heart on top (aww, it melts my heart)9. Special dish not on the menu: Secret of a lady - so beautiful10. Desserts: silver age - tofu, pumpkin and coconut creamThis is a brand new concept in town that I’m very excited to have the honor to try their menu before the soft opening. The place is designed to have the relaxing and elegant vibe to the tea lovers. From the plates and utensils to the tea pots, everything is cute!I enjoy this tea pairing with food so much that it gives me the beauty and healthy in every tea sips. Tea pairing: pair the light flavored (green pot) tea first and increase the flavor (pink pot) as we go along the dishes. Pink pot tea has whiskey flavor, so unique. Each dish has its own story behind the ingredients and presentation that makes the dish very meaningful. The elements are healthy and pretty which makes I feel the same eating the food here. Vegetarian meals are healthy for me as I consume and also healthy for not killing any animals. Everything is meaningful.
