Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
3215 Sports Arena Blvd, San Diego, CA 92110, United States
Disgusting service, but what can you expect when a restaurant is as dirty as their employments attitude!! Definitely ruined my San Diego Trip. We requested to be seated at a booth when ready due to my back complications and they decided to neglect and instead seat us at a table with chairs. The restaurant had 5+ booths open at the time of the request and we waited about 30 mins so we could be sure to get one and did not complain about the wait as the request was an inconvenience. Yet the staff was sure to exchange looks and not assist us for 25 mins after we were sat. Once we were able to order our WATERY soups came out with im not even kidding you not 1 Gnocchi. As someone who loves this establishment im bummed to even have experienced this type of distastefulness in a place I often frequent. Please do better.
Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
11555 Carmel Mountain Rd, San Diego, CA 92128, United States
Ive been having great time at this restaurant for more than 10 years. But we had the worst experience with one server at this location last evening. We all ordered main entrees for each one of us. Then we picked soup for the first course. When we asked for a second round of soup while waiting for the main entrees, the server told us the never-ending first course (soup or salad) could only be served only once. I had to ask him to bring out the menu and pointed out the description in the menu to him. He then acted as hes doing us a favor and said he would try to give us a second round of soup. After this, this server never came to ask if we needed anything although he frequently stopped and checked at other tables. We called him and asked for more bread sticks and he managed to forget to bring them to us.The food was great as always but this server found a way to spoil our evening. The poor rating Im giving is for this specific server, not for the restaurant. Other personnel and the manager at this restaurant are very nice.
El Borrego Restaurant Caterer, Outdoor Venue, ...
4280 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92105, United States
I celebrated my birthday with 20 friends on the patio of El Borrego today and it was such a wonderful experience! Im so grateful to Rodnia, the owner, and her staff, for being so attentive and handling it all so well. They sectioned off half of the outdoor patio and set it up with beautiful decor, as well as umbrellas for shade and a big fan as it was 80 degrees out. At the bar, guests could choose from house made Horchata, Agua de Jamaica, beer and Sangria. I heard so many compliments about the venue and especially on the food! We served a self-serve buffet of Cochinita Pibil and Lamb Barbacoa with tortillas, guacamole and garnishes, plus quesadillas made with squash blossoms and rajas that they brought out hot as they were ready. The whole afternoon felt easy and relaxed and I got to enjoy spending time with friends rather than being stressed about hosting. The mellow music they played set a nice atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon. This restaurant is such a neighborhood gem! If youre looking for a space to accommodate a crowd and excellent food and service, I highly recommend El Borrego!

Used to eat here all the time, then moved away 8 years ago. Prices are pretty high, but sandwiches and portions are HUGE. Still, its clear that there have been no updates (booths/ carpeting/decor) in the last 8 years, and it was a little shabby before. Looking threadbare and shopworn. Nevertheless, my bowl of Barley Soup and small ham sandwich ($14) were delicious -- and had GREAT service from Tiffany!Update 27 More shabby than before. Really dirty... And the profit margins here are massive. And I mean message. Sandwiches used to be huge. Now not so much. I had the Ted leitner sandwich and it was not very large at all. In fact the slices of bread werent very large and the amount of meat did not even cover the entire bread portion. And it had two slices of what appeared to be Kraft singles cheese on it. This place has a full deli! That sandwich was $22... And it came with a small serving of coleslaw. I also had a bowl of soup which was quite good. But it was $11. With tax tip and out the door, that sandwich and bowl of soup was $40. RRRRRRROUCH!! And on top of that my waitress disappeared several times.I spend my Winters in Asia where its often difficult to find a good sandwich. I thought that I would get one here. But those days are gone at this restaurant. Shabby, mediocre food, mediocre to poor service.... Skip it... Frankly Subway is better, and you can eat there for about 25% of what I spent for dinner tonight. I wont be back!

We found the Formoosa restaurant as we were looking through Google maps and Yelp for a restaurant that serves tasty Ramen noodle and other rice and noodle dishes. The food looks so good here at the Formoosa restaurant that we decided that we just had to try it!Were so glad we did too!!First we ordered the sesame wontons. Those were Bomb!??Then we shared a bowl of their Beef noodle soup, which was very good! The noodles were a thin wide noodles and the beef was very tender. The broth was out of this also so yummy!! Our server Kai helped us decide on what too order & it was the perfect suggestion. For drinks my hubby ordered a and lychee coconut colada and I ordered a Jasmine mango iced tea which was amazing!! I had never tried jasmine tea before and adding the Mango made it really good!! This was an awesome meal and the service was great too! Kai was very nice and very helpful too! We will definitely be back!We want to bring our daughter here to try it too! LolIf you like authentic tasty Ramen noodle soup or some tasty wontons then I would definitely go check out Formoosa Restaurant in San Diego California.Im so glad we tried it! ??

If you only have time to try just one Vietnamese place while youre in San Diego, do yourself a favor. Try this one!I heard about this place from a friend of mind in San Diego and tried it during a recent visit. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Heres why.First, the service was great. The staff was friendly and professional. Quick to greet visitors as the come into the restaurant.Next, cleanliness. The place was really clean and taken care of. Its clear that they have pride in keeping the place clean for their guests. Finally, and most important. The food. Seriously, super delicious! I had the fried Vietnamese egg rolls. They were really delicious. I followed that up by Veggie pho noodle soup with tofu. It was really fantastic.Dont miss this place!

Pleasant restaurant with good prompt professional service. Great food. Wonton soup was best I’ve ever had. Pad Thai (mild) was rather more spicy than I expected - but good. Delicious varied elements Thai Tempura plate. Highly recommended.
Panera Bread
5620 Balboa Ave, San Diego, CA 92117, United States
Very poor experience. We got to the Panera on Balboa avenue at around 6:35 on a Saturday evening. There were two groups of two ahead of us. One person taking orders. The two groups ahead of us had language barriers and many questions. There were two or three staff members talking in the back by the ovens. After waiting in line 12 to 15 min our order was taken. They did not mention to us they were extremely backed up and it would take a while to get our order. We did not receive our order until 8:00 p.m. . When we got it home it was the wrond type of soup. The sandwich was soggy like it had been made and sat a while. The baguette pizza was okay. During this entire hour none of the staff members apologize or told us how long it was going to be. There were quite a few unhappy customers in the restaurant. A bit of good customer service would have gone a long way. Possibly an update on the time, the offer of a drink while we waited, any number of things could have been done. I believe the problem is they pay more attention to phone in orders from the app then they do to the customers waiting in the restaurant. I for one will never be back They have lost a customer when it could have been mitigated and turned around. You dont have an hour to wait do not go to the Panera on Balboa
