Vietnamese style Chinese noodle soup. This small restaurant focus on chicken dishes only. You have chicken noodle soup and Hainan style chicken rice. The soup is sweet and flavorful. Definitely will warm you up during a cold day.The chicken meat is tender, not over cook. If you like internal, you could have liver, gizzard etc.

Le Soleil Vietnamese Noodles & Grill
1515 E 14th St, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
I come to this place at least a few times a month and it satisfies my seafood noodle cravings. It probably wont be the best noodle soup or pho that you have ever had, but it will get the hunger job done. Pricing on their soups can be more expensive than traditional Vietnamese restaurants and service sometimes can be really slow during the dinner hours when it is rather busy. If you are in downtown San Leandro and craving some pho this place is worth a shot.

A1 Pho

A very bad experience, I had to eat out today, I had so many appointments. They don’t have a lunch menu, the place was clean, but was almost empty. The waitress was very nice. I ordered seafood soup, it was the worst pho soup in my live. I forced my self to eat, I just wanted to finish and leave, the noodles was old and break when I touch it, the broth was warm and nice, but the rest was a disaster, the only 2 pcs of shrimp and a few pcs of hard to chew squid that are not slimy and mushy, only the cook know what was in that soup. I had a stomach pain after I left. This is a new owner. The city have to inspect this restaurant. On star is more what it deserve.

AOI Teriyaki & Ramen

Best ramen in East Bay! I ironically found this place when feeling sorry for myself that I moved away from Oakland where my old favorite ramen place is. I did a quick search to see what was in San Leandro and saw there was a new ramen place, and I'm so glad I tried it out, as it is my new favorite! The quality, quantity, and freshness of the food you will not find at this price anywhere else, as the owner does everything himself, so he can put his money into quality ingredients instead of hired help. This is some serious, no nonsense ramen. (The owner has that demeanor as well!) I come here by myself as part of my self care routine so I can really focus on the food and eat each delicious bite mindfully. It reminds me of the ramen I ate in Tokyo when I visited. This isn't a place you will get fancy ambiance, but if you just want good food, it's definitely worth checking out and making a staple for when you get those ramen cravings! Very thankful to have authentic ramen in San Leandro.

Tios Mediterranean Grill
794 E 14th St, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
This restaurant was recommended by our neighbors. And great thanks to my good neighbor! We had fresh hummus and lentil soup for appetizer. For the main course, we had chicken kebab, the tender beef and slightly spicy flavorful lamb kebab, each offering a unique taste and aroma that delighted our taste buds. The grand finale of our dining experience featured a steaming cup of real Turkish coffee, a bold and aromatic brew that provided a perfect conclusion to the meal.

Poke Kitchen

Went to check out this place after seeing great reviews. Pulled up and wasnt impressed by the exterior or neighborhood, and nothing too fancy inside. However, the woman who took our order and helped us was so sweet! They were very busy (I think a huge online order came in before we got there), so they were a little frazzled, but we still did not feel pressured or rushed. We looked at the menu and were shocked at the prices - they are very competitive. We ordered a spicy tuna and lion king roll and a seaweed salad. The flavors on these rolls were amazing! The spicy tuna had the perfect amount of spice! One of the best Ive had in the area. We gobbled it up with no left overs and washed it down with a yummy thai iced tea. Will definitely return to this hole-in-the-wall spot when Im back in the area... Im looking forward to trying a poke bowl.

Chinese Super 5 Kitchen
555 Lewelling Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94579, United States
While I dont consider myself a expert with Chinese food, I do have a lifetime of eating it.The offerings here are authentic Chinese, mainly Southern Cantonese style. So not your super spicy Hunan or Northern China kind of flavors. The ingredients are fresh and cooked perfectly. The only thing missing is the amount of spice in my curry noodle dish. The owners run this business and really care about their customers. The restaurant is easy to overlook because it is part of the motel in back. But its gems like this that make it worth seeking out, a genuine hole in the wall. The seating is simple so no frills here. Its a place to eat the ample portions. Cost is about average but slightly above a similar place in say Oakland Chinatown.I recommend choosing any of the lunch specials even for dinner, as those are the best value.Overall, I recommend this place if you want to fill up and have a great menu to choose from.

Porque no Tacos
2014 Marina Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
Ill start off by saying that the food here is good. We got the chilaquiles and they were presented nicely and flavorful, though not super filling so I recommend getting something with it. The shrimp tacos were ok, but not super special.Overall, the food was fine, and we were enjoying ourselves until...Please note that I have a service animal. Prior to arriving at the restaurant, I called to ensure that service animals were allowed, and I was told they were. When I arrived, the worker, who I assume I spoke to on the phone, addressed me and asked are you the one who called about the service animal? I said yes, he smiled and took our order. No issue. We sat down, ate, and enjoyed the chill atmosphere for almost two hours. Then out of no where, a lady aggressively approached our table (again, after having been sitting, eating, paid, and minding our business for 2 hours), and said that animals werent allowed in the restaurant. She didnt identify herself, give any type of greeting, or excuse herself for interrupting our conversation. The dialogue went as follows:She: Animals arent allowedMe: I called ahead and asked if service dogs were allowed and I was told yesShe: Who did you speak to?Me: I dont knowShe: You didnt get their name?Me: No, I didnt askShe: Well its our policy that no animals are allowed. Did you eat already or are you waiting on food?Me: We ate and have been sitting here with no problemShe: Theres a sign on the door that says no petsMe: This is a service animal and obviously the guidance from the staff contradicts this statement. She walked away without giving any awareness or recognition that the dog was a service animal.Needless to say, we left almost immediately after. It was extremely disheartening, and frankly, frightening, to be approached with such aggression and obvious disregard for the spectrum of disabilities and purpose of service animals. Further, we looked for a sign outside the restaurant, and there is nothing that says no animals, or more specifically, service animals. Her dismissal of my needs, and refusal to let us be patrons of this business is a violation of the Americans With Disability Act which states: The ADA is a federal law which requires businesses and organizations that serve the public to allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals into all areas of the facility where customers are normally allowed to go. Examples of these businesses and organizations include restaurants or hotels.July is Disability Pride Month to commemorate the passing of the 1990 Americans with Disability Act. The law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities. Although 1 in 4 Americans have a disability, there is still much work to be done to achieve equity among our largest minority group. Her behavior came off as derogatory, ableist, and discriminatory towards persons with disabilities. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone that experiences disabilities, considers themselves an ally of those in that community, or has any general compassion for humans. This was an extremely disappointing and humiliating interaction that tarnished an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. I do not plan to return, and do not advise others to either.Lastly, to reiterate, the woman never introduced herself, so I dont have her name, or have any idea what her role is in the establishment, but she noted she was the enforcer. To describe her physically, she looked to be middle aged, fair skinned with shoulder-length brown hair and about 57. She would benefit from sensitivity, diversity, inclusion, and equity training and overall compassion, empathy and improved communication skills.

Marina Restaurant
2144 Marina Blvd, San Leandro, CA 94577, United States
Wow and Wow. Was staying overnight at the Marina Inn and searched for a place for dinner. Fortunately, I chose a winner with Marina. My wife had an Italian Chicken Dinner and I had a Mexican chicken dinner. Also ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Everything was excellent, fresh, delicious, and plentiful. We got takeout as currently there is no dine in option. As I mentioned, plentiful was an understatement. We were packing for a flight and had a luggage scale out at the hotel. Our two meals with soup actually was right at 7 pounds of food and unfortunately, more than we could possibly eat. I dont leave many reviews but love to shout out a clear winner. 6 days around northern California with great meals everywhere. This one stood out and is getting my review.

Sl Kitchen

We had a really odd experience here. The khao piak sen - chicken was tasteless like water, the cook maybe forgot ingredients and forgot to taste the broth before it went out. It had absolutely no flavor, and we specifically came here to order that. The Kasoy looked delicious but was also really subtle in flavor for the broth. The ingredients seemed fresh. Weve had home cooked Mien and Lao food a lot, and we were sad that our entrees had almost no flavor. We were surprised because the sampler platter of appetizers had good flavor. The money bags and egg rolls were delicious and super crunchy! We really loved the papaya salad, which was fishy, salty, and spicy! The service was good, but we were so confused and conflicted by the food that looked authentic but instead was very disappointing.
