Auburn Thai Garden Restaurant
175 Palm Ave, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
I took my wife here on our date night and all I can say is that it is a wonderful little restaurant. They have great food and great service, and an all around comforting feel. You could very well wear street clothes here and would not be out of place, but I feel they deserve at the very least business casual.I ordered the drunken noodles and ordered them at a spiciness level of 3 (their heat is on a scale of 0-5). The waitress told me that their 2 is medium and that their 3 would make me sweat. Well that is what I wanted so I went with it, and I tell you what they DELIVERED. The heat was there, not quite enough to make me sweatb but enough to get my nose a little. Not only did they have heat, they also had flavor, something that seems to be increasingly hard to do.What my wife ordered was the Tai wonton soup (she is a sucker for that, it very well could be her favorite thing). It was just sweet enough, in my opinion, to separate it from other wonton soups that I have had and was a refreshing compliment to the spice of the drunken noodles. Now to our drinks and appetizers. We had a Tai iced tea and a Tai iced coffee for our drinks. This is actually the place that turned me onto Tai iced tea and I love it. And for our appetizers we had the golden vegetable rolls and the Tai Spring rolls which are wonderful and refreshing. Not only was all of this presented well by a great wait staff, but the price point is great as well especially for two people. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Tai food at a great price.

Jannois App-Khao Papaya & Noodle Shack

Saturday, 8/19/2022 - Went to Jannoi's App-Khao | Papaya & Noodle Shack for lunch with a beautiful friend. Address is 3510 Auburn Blvd UNIT 10, Sacramento, CA 95821. Located on Watt and right before the entrance to 80 (aka Capital City Freeway). Upon arrival.....Pros1) large parking lot with plenty of parking.2) restaurant was packed with only 2 empty tables left. As soon as I arrived, server told me I could sit at either table.3) within a few mins, server brought me a menu. Told me she was the only one working in the front today.4) took about 30 to 40 minutes for our food orders to arrive. We didnt mind as that gave us a chance to talk and catch up. The fish larb took another 5 to 8 minutes to come out after the other 2 dishes came. But the foods were nice and warm. Not hot.5) water had an after taste. Not sure how to describe it. Maybe mineral-ly. Hmmmm..... it wasnt bad. Just a slight after taste. I shoulda asked for lemon. But they do bring a little bottle of water with ice with a lid, in case you run out of water in your cup. That really helped.6) as soon as someone left their table, I notice a young man would clean the table quickly. Tables were always cleaned.7) the Jeow Bong Fried Rice was friggen good. I could eat the whole plate. Lol. The drunken noodle was good. The fish larb was on the sweeter side, but still good.8) our server was very nice.9)Cons1) noneConclusionThis little restaurant was pretty cool. About 10ish table. Its located right before the entrance to 80. Server was nice. Tables were clean. Foods were good. Try this place if you havent yet. We had a good experience here.__________________________________Thursday, 11/02/2023 - service great! Our waitress was so nice. Foods were all delicious. Except the chicken wings. Wings had no flavor and was on the raw side. The top of the meat was cooked, but had no flavor. The more you bite into the wings, the less cook it was. Was chewy and slimy-ish. Besides that, foods were great!! I also order a Thai tea to go. They forgot it. So before I left, I asked if I was still going to get it. The kitchen was already closed (close at 7:20pm-ish I think), and we already paid for our foods, so the waitress said it was on the house that was really nice.I really like this restaurant. Go try this place if you havent already._____________________________Wednesday, 1/17/2014 - Took my son here to celebrate his bday. His 1st time here. No complaints. Our waiter was very nice. Originally when we 1st ordered, we wanted the Crying Tiger Steak. He said they ran out. They ran out of steak. I told him this is the 3rd time Ive come to their restaurant and they are ALWAYS out. He goes and check in the back and said to us that theres one more Waterfall Steak left. So I ordered that. Thank you to him for checking! Thank you to the awesome cook who made it! Perfect Steak and sauce. My son loved all the foods. Great customer service.Cons? Yes.Only one. They dont do anything for a birthday. Not even ice cream. So... I took my son else where for bday dessert.Besides this, great restaurant, delicious foods, clean restaurant, clean bathroom. Oh, theres only one bathroom for male and female. Youll have to wait your turn. ;)
