First if you check my postings on Google you will see that almost all of them are five stars. It really takes a lot for me to write a review like this. The house special looked nothing like the picture and was at least 70% rice. I was really surprised. At first I thought it was a big side dish of fried rice that came with the meal. It did taste good but was described as being mostly meat & egg protein. I was really looking forward to the mix. My friend wanted to switch up his pho with different noodles. The server seemed really annoyed that it would cost us more to get what we want. It was an issue of like $3, we spent over $30. And quite frankly she was kind of rude and also annoyed that we werent making up our menu choices quick enough. The place wasnt that busy. It wasnt even close to half full. I also found it annoying that they were playing political news the entire time we were there. The station they were watching was one of the ones that is so far in One Direction its impossible to take them seriously. The announcers are constantly upset and everythings an impossible crisis. Really inappropriate if you want a mixed clientele. This isnt the only pho restaurant near the Claremont Colleges. I was really hungry so I finished my order and my friend who usually devours his didnt even finish half of it, he was completely unsatisfied. I will be going somewhere else next time.

First time coming here with my Mom. She was in the mood for chicken noodle soup and so thats what we ordered. We also ordered some sides. Umm so the place was kind of confusing because it was a Restaurant setting right. But their were several tvs on the wall playing different shows with no sound. And their was pop music playing in the background. The server was very sweet and nice. It was a lil hard to communicate seeing that we only speak English lol. The soup had such a lovely flavor too it. I personally like thick spaghetti noodle in my soup but they only had skinny egg noodle. In which they were very generous with but only that. I had hardly any pieces of chicken and bocchoy. The chicken was so hard that I had to spit it out mostly. But the bocchoy was nice and soft. I also ordered some chicken wontons in my soup. They were sperce but good. All in all we would probably never come back seeing that the bill was more then $50ish dollars and it was definitely not worth it to us. Please understand this was only our experience and Im sure they have alot more tasty options.

First time dining at this restaurant under the new owners. They didnt disappoint. The food was excellent and generously portioned. The service was the way only Thai and Southeast Asians could offer: gentle, attentive and accommodating. If you dont like restaurants where the music is overly loud and noise levels so high its impossible to talk, you will love this restaurant with its calm, quiet ambience.

Besides theB rating and no customers inside, we decided to eat there anyway. My friend had Pad See Ew and said the meat tasted funny. Ate about 5 bites and threw it out. I had Pad Thai without shrimp and it tasted like the shrimp had been picked out. It was very bland and the noodles were mooshy. If not for the decent array of sauces and salt, I wouldnt have eaten my food either. My food came out a good 5 minutes after my friends and his food not hot. I havent eaten here before so I cant say if this is the norm but, unfortunately I have had better and at a more reasonable price. I dont think I will go back.
