Update: They have affordable monthly specials that are mostly under $15. Sometimes it is regular menu items but they may take some of the ingredients off.We were surprised how good the prices were compared to other restaurants these days and the portions were generous as well. We ordered the fried pork chop on a whim. It had just the right amount of perfectly fried breading and a caramelized sugar coating. The hot pots all come with a sizzling crystal except for #20 because they said they did a taste test and concluded it would be too sticky. However, the server was nice enough to reheat my hot pot in the back when the fat in the soup started to congeal. One thing of note is that both #1 and #20 hot pots say they come with pork blood on the menu. They havent had pork blood both times we went and it didnt tell us. Later on, they said it was substituted with tofu. The beef noodle soup didnt come with the most quality ingredients but it was tasty and there was plenty of chunks of meat. Really dig the vibe here. Almost all of the tables were full even at 11pm on a Tuesday and people were stopping in to get to-go as well. Great place for a late night dinner when so many places close at 9pm. I heard from a friend that their bentos at lunch are pretty worth as well.Updates: It gets crowded around 7pm on weekdays. The fried meat dishes I tried are all good as well as their larger portion chili boiled fish dishes that comes in 4 flavors. For the dry pots, I would recommend the pork intestines and the braised pork. The beef dry pot had very stringy beef slices so it wasnt my favorite.
Local Kitchens
21666 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
We visited local kitchens in Cupertino based on the invite the Yelp Elite event and we had a very pleasant experience!Let me start with the ordering on their website - multiple restaurants serving some of their favorite dishes ( not all, so some may find their preferred items of the original restaurant here) and you can order from any of their menus in a single order (or not as we chose). I placed an order on the Curry-up Now items while my better half chose items from the menu of the The Little Chihuahua. While I let my wife add her review separately, I will say this much - the food served was fresh and the taste and flavors ar exactly what get at the original restaurant. Ordering was quick, easy and efficient!Next about the drive for pickup - though the location of the Cupertino venue is a tad distance from my place, the drive down Stevens Creek Blvd was not too bad. The road at the point where you arrive at the location actually converts from 2 lanes to single lane and since there is HWY 85 exit/merge just close by, you can get easily distracted and pass the spot. No worries just take a u-turn and come back. It is just beside CityFish, a seafood joint we had visited a while a ago (great Fish n Chips here) and parking may be scarce but easily found around it.Next about the place itself - with no indoor dining option, the inside is huge and empty with plenty of place for social distancing. They have self-order iPad kiosks to one side as well to order while you are there as well. There was a gender neutral washroom at one end which was very distant ( good) from the place of pickup. And yes, there was now-being-served screen to the right of the entry which you can look at and go to the pick up counter when you read your name. Pretty slick, I should say. Finally about the order - spot on time, ready for pick up, stored in warming area until you do and very cleanly packed and sealed for no tampering post packing. I was quickly handed my order and we were off in a jiffy. Very very efficient. Hats off the to professional and friendly staff - Daria and her team there!!The thank you card along with food was nice touch and was happy to see it was not for Yelp Elite orders only. My wife got it too!Food quality was just as good as they serve in the original restaurant. And prices match the value they give and the plentiful options you get due to the menus of different restaurants menus here.I will go back for more and maybe next time to try some their breakfast and snack options! You should go too

Great experience! The takeaway tofu noodle for $8 is packed in a small box of about 200g, which is very cute.I also ordered the sauced pork buns, which cost $2.5 each. They tasted sour, and there was a sense of happiness that the fillings were made a few days ago but can be eaten for a week, which made my heart warm.It was a restaurant run by Robert, and there was no waiter when I picked up the takeaway.I heard it is a newly opened store, I hope it will get better and better!
Alexanders Steakhouse
19379 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
Food: 4.8Service: 5Atmosphere: 4.2Alexanders Steakhouse in Cupertino is simply excellent. The food is delicious, the servers are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is classy and chic. If youre a fan of good steak in the Silicon Valley area, this is the spot to get your fix.Weve tried several cocktails and glasses of wine and always enjoyed our selection. Ive enjoyed the 007 and Green Fairy while my girlfriend has always enjoyed the glasses of Chardonnay she has tried at Alexanders. The bread for the table is always a nice treat which includes some flaky croissants, french bread and a rosemary focaccia. They are all very tasty and served with butter which is a nice way to start off the meal.As far as appetizers go, weve always enjoyed what weve tried as well. They are fairly pricey and the portion size can vary pretty significantly:Popcorn Crab: This appetizer may be the best value for your money as the portion size was large enough to be an entree and it was delicious. Worth trying if youre a fan of crab and fried foods.Roasted Bone Marrow: This one is very nice and Ive ordered it a few times as Ive recently learned I love bone marrow. The bone marrow is not a huge appetizer but I decent serving size of bone marrow and absolutely delicious -- definitely recommend.Onigara King Crab Legs: These are a great choice as well. The crab legs have a nice spice to them and a reasonable serving size (when it comes to King Crab, anyway). If youre a fan of King Crab and dont mind a little heat these are the choice for you.Jamon Iberico Cinco Jotas: This mix of truffle burrata cheese and bread is a nice choice and very tasty. The value for your dollar is a bit lower here as its a pricey appetizer with a small portion size, but if youre a fan of burrata you may enjoy this choice. The entrees are almost excellent as well, and of course I am referring to the steak. Weve tried a few different types, but mainly I am always ordering the:Prime Bone-In Ribeye: Deliciously cooked and extremely tender steak. A nice amount of butter and scallions on top and often offered with a number of optional enhancements such as crab (Oscar style) or truffles which I am a fan of when they are available. The steak is cooked perfectly and has the right amount of delicious fat around the outside with juicy tender meat inside.Filet Mignon: Excellently cooked and very tender with very little fat, this is a nice choice for those with smaller appetites or who arent as big fans of the external fat found on the Ribeye. This is a favorite for my girlfriend and she definitely enjoys it so you wont go wrong with this option, either. They also have wonderful sides to accompany your meal, particularly:Lobster Macaroni & Cheese: Delicious! Im a huge fan of Lobster Mac & Cheese and this is the best Ive ever had. They use a cheese aged for a year and a sizable helping of lobster on top. This side is simply superb and if youre a fan of Lobster Macaroni & Cheese you have to order this while youre here. They have a small dessert menu and complimentary flavored cotton candy after your meal. They also generally try to do a little something extra if theyre aware its a special occasion for you, which is a nice touch.Overall the best steakhouse in Silicon Valley and a personal favorite of mine. I definitely recommend this to steak fans who are in the area and want a high-end steak experience.
Chicken Meets Rice (inside EatUp by 99 Ranch)
10445 S De Anza Blvd Unit 101, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
Found this place after scrolling through yelp, could not decide between sushi, ramen, or this restaurant. Nonetheless, what got me interested in this establishment was the surprising name, Chicken Meets Rice. Quite attention grabbing. This place is located in a mini food court next to the 99 Ranch Market. The manager, Jonathan, was kind and nice enough to explain and accommodate our requests to our order. What we had ordered:1) Split Protein Box: Fried Chicken, Tofu, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Broth, and Sweet Chili and Teriyaki Sauce.2) Grilled Chicken Box, Sticky Rice, Veggie Broth, Teriyaki and Sweet Chili Sauce. My friend and I enjoyed every bite of our meals. The concept of chicken and rice is simple, but the flavors were so delicious and flavorful. Super healthy with protein and a medley of vegetables with the rice. The broths were a good palate cleanser and not salty at all. I had not eaten the entire day, so I was super pleased that this was my first meal of the day!Would love to come here again! :)
Marugame Udon
20682 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
Woo! Another Marugame in South Bay!Came by a day after their grand opening. Didnt even realize we were getting one until I drove by a week ago.Decided to eat an earlier Wednesday dinner around 5PM. Maybe 15-20 people in line, but moves fast in the assembly/cafeteria line.I personally ordered a large tonkatsu. I had the Honolulu Marugame a few years ago, so I was surprised to see different menu options. Others also ordered tonkatsu, as well as a Nikutama. I opted for their Iced Matcha drink as well. Slightly sweetened. Not bad!I personally enjoyed the tonkatsu. Wasnt too salty. Noodles were cooked well, and meat was good too. Only gripe...they gave half of a hard boiled egg. On the menu it says seasoned egg. They definitely need to change the egg for this into a soft boiled egg.Like other locations, utensils are DIY. They have extra bottles for chili powder and grated ginger. Bus your own tables!Seating here is plentiful, compared to other Marugame locations. There is also seating outside as well.Parking is easy (but spaces are pretty tight). There arent too many spots open in the evening in the plaza, so it should be pretty easy to find parking.Download the app for $5 off your first purchase! Lots of signage in the store promoting it.Definitely will be back in the future for a quick, good value bite!
Hyatt House San Jose Cupertino
10380 Perimeter Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
This was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at and I've stayed all over the world.I specifically read the reviews all over, not just Google, and knew to ask for a room NOT facing the highway but it didn't matter because they put me in the noisiest room facing the highway despite the high price and they had other rooms available. Poor customer service. One night they even put a screaming baby in the connecting room who cried literally all night. I felt badly for the baby who sounded sick. The highway noise was ridiculously loud, even with a White Noise App. I literally didn't sleep at all and had a horrible stay because of the noise.I also asked for a room by the stairwell and they didn't honor that request either. Same with requesting a top floor. Nope, they seemed to have put everyone on the third floor. The doors are constantly slamming and kids were running up and down the hallway screaming daily. Noise is a huge issue here. There are things that can be done to minimize the noise but they don't seem to care about guests' complaints. Disappointing for a Hyatt brand. To make matters worse, the Internet went out 1-3x/day and when I called the front desk they were blasé about the fact it happens all the time. This is in a business area where guests rely on using the Internet. This needs to be fixed. The shower door isn't sealed properly and badly leaks. Simple fix from the company who made the doors will do with silicone linings, but the manager would rather blame a poor design rather than fix the problem. The HVAC system needs attention as well. A technician just needs to go to all the rooms one-by-one and fix things. The ac would suddenly turn to heat if one turned the temperature above 69.There are no to-go options for guests to take breakfast to their room. Breakfast is decent with eggs, miso soup, fruit, rice, tofu, and an omelette station.Housekeeping does a good job but they're not friendly at all and glare at guests which is off putting. I said, “Hi!” many times only to be met with rude stares.Positives: there is free secure abundant garage parking which is a huge plus, and a gym with cables, dumbbells, treadmills and ellipticals. There is also a pool and lounge chairs.
Aqui Cupertino

??NOT DOG FRIENDLY EVEN WITH AN OUTDOOR PATIO || BLAND FOOD AND BAD SERVICE || don't recommend.I got fooled by the ratings so I gotta put my thoughts out there to warn people. Service is very bad, self ordering, my friend ordered burrito but they got his order wrong and had to wait again. AND, there was a patio but not dog friendly at all. They asked us to move from the outdoor patio to the back of the restaurant on a grass land that's not even flat by the parking lot on a hot day for a group of 7 us (a kid included) with my dog. I'm grateful for whoever still let us dine in, but they kept saying it's the rule, but what kind of rule is it to not allow animal even when there's an outdoor patio??Secondly, when I ordered my food, I asked the server whether there's any dish with fruit because i wanted something light and refreshing, she said with no patience “no”. HOWEVER, when my food was served, the dish right next to mine had grapes and mango, which would've been exactly what I would order. In general, I don't understand why this place is categorized as Californian restaurant, this can be misleading. Food was okay, nothing standing out, chips + hummus was the best. BUT salsa is not even spicy, can't find a good spicy sauce there. How dare they call themselves Mexican food ?OMG forgot to mention the swirl cocktails. They're SO BAD. 12 bucks for a glass of frozen drink full of artificial syrup taste. I had one sip and I was done. 12 bucks for a really bad drinks worse than a club cocktail!Never returning and DO NOT recommend!!!!!
