Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
4320 Elverta Rd Suite 1, Antelope, CA 95843, United States
Worst Papa Murphys I have ever ordered pizza from. Absolutely zero management and young employees there just going through the motion. I ordered my pizzas at 4:53 pm online, when ordered it said my pizzas would be ready at 5:30pm. I showed up at 5:42pm, walked in and waited at the online order counter for about 2-3 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Once she asked for the name on the order, she still hadnt even started making it. I did not leave with my pizzas until 6:13. The thing that upset me was that once they got more employees up front to make pizzas, because it was getting busy in the store at this point, when people would walk in and order, employees that were making pizzas for people already waiting, they would stop what they were doing to go make a salad or smores, whatever the person that just walked in ordered. That is where the lack of management falls in my opinion. I dont hold it against the young employees in there doing there job, I hold the owners responsible. They were nowhere to be seen and obviously they have not offered the proper training. Should you want Papa Murphys, I would recommend finding another one, because in my opinion these owners are not operating this one correctly.
Pizza Guys
5764 Antelope Rd suite b-4, Sacramento, CA 95842, United States
So I have been here several times 10+ this time the staff was short tempered, no helIo nothing. Just a also usually I always get a free 2 L of some sort of beverage. Everyone staff wise prior to my visit today have been so awesome and friendly! It's not a big deal it only cost me three dollars to get my root beer which I did but my order wasn't ready when I was told it would be ready nor was it correct. I left a 15% tip which I regret now because I ordered online and picked up myself. I wasn't asking anything extra just thought it would be a nice gesture. Either way the pizza is delicious I just wish I would've got my free soda pop lol, as well as some sort hello, thank you, or goodbye, have a nice day would be even nice. Nothing, felt like I was talking to a robot but hey, maybe I was? Poor customer service and I unfortunately probably won't be back.

This restaurant would double their buisness and covers if they would do 2 things:1. offer a wide variety of vegetarian options, at the very least, offer all the current dishes with tofu or veggie instead of meat.2. The online photos show incandescent lighting without the overhead buisness style square florescent lighting....this is what we expected, but when we got there, it was just too bright. Please....turn off the bright square florescent light from the ceiling, at least in the main dining room ..and maybe put a candle on the tables, at least in the evening. Also, natural plants would be more inviting in the room It is just too sterile in there. The food was decent for the meat eaters in our group, but at least 25% of people are looking for plant based options at least part of the time. Seriously...you will be busier and make a lot more money if you offer plant based meals as well.
Savage Chef Bar & Grill
30145 Antelope Rd #106, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
While on my search for new foodie adventures, I came across @savagechefbarandgrill in Menifee! It was an experience that had @figgy_fab and I thoroughly surprised. The environment was very chill. With the food of a fancy top notch Steakhouse, and cocktail/music lounge (mixture of hip hop, pop and other music), the combination leaves you trying to figure out where you are but at the same time not wanting to leave this semi-futuristic restaurant.Photo creds: @figgy_fab(Too many shadows from my side of the table)But enough of jibber jabber, to the lineup!Butternut Squash Arancinis:Crispy Butternut squash risotto, truffle aioli, Crispy sage. First of all anything with aioli is great but this appetizer was a pleasant surprise! Flavorful, light and fluffy on the inside and that ever so slight crunch on the outside! 3 was not enough haha! ????Cavatelli Mac N Cheese:Shishito peppers, parmesan, and toasted breadcrumbs. Not what we were expecting! Nevertheless, the flavors were good and the shishito peppers gave it a slight kick! ???Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib:Creamy parmesan polenta, roasted parsnips and baby carrots, zaatar, and gremolata. Im not really sure what the last 2 things are but all I know is that this dish was great! The short ribs were perfectly cooked and the layers of the dish collided and exploded with a flavor palette that I was not ready for. Most definitely could eaten another one or two! ??????Scratch-made banana pudding:Nilla wafers, fresh bananas, burnt meringue. From flavorful to sweet, the dessert was an interesting mix. A surprising twist was the white chocolate chips, making it an even sweeter treat for taste buds. Normally I dont eat bananas but they were overpowered by the pudding taste, which is totally ok with me! ????@savagechefbarandgrillWas a great place to have dinner! We were expecting something different and got hit with something better. Definitely have to go back and try other items! 9/10 is the rating and Im stickin to it! Until next time my foodie friends, stay happy and stay full!
Hotpot Express
6456 Antelope Rd, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, United States
[This review is based purely off of the hot pot]Man, me and my girlfriend DESPERATELY wanted to love this place. Ever since HL Hot Pot in South Sac closed (for our money, one of the best Hot Pot places in California), weve been searching for a replacement. We saw the amazing reviews for this one, and the next night we found ourselves here. We drove 35 minutes to eat here...it wasnt exactly worth the trip. With a nice atmosphere and nice service, the overall clunkiness of the experience, lack of decent options, and somewhat small portions take away from what couldve been a great visit. But this place has GREAT potential, and we liked a lot from it -- the broths and the whole self-serve aspect especially. This place has serious potential.Atmosphere: 3.8/5-- Situated in a slightly cramped shopping center, its nestled snugly next to a nail salon with a taco bell right across the way. Not exactly premium digs, but we easily found a parking spot.-- The inside is pretty nice; newly remodeled Im sure. It was shiny, so I like that. It was also clean, which you would think nowadays is a given, but youd be surprised.-- Its pretty small. Like, 6 tables and 1 giant table small.Service: 4/5-- When we got there, there was only 1 visible employee doing everything. He was really nice and helpful, but you could tell this was a little too much on his plate at times.-- When he did help us, you could tell he genuinely wanted you to have a great experience. Huge (+) plus!Basically, theres three tiers of plates you can choose from:Green $2.95 --- Vegetables, noodles, tofu (and chicken )Yellow $3.95 --- Meats, fish balls, etcRed $4.95 ------ Seafood, higher quality meatsPretty simple, right? And color coordination makes everything easier too, which was kind of like their version of a self-checkout line. Nice.Food: 3/5+ + The broths we got (house special and spicy beef) were delicious, and pretty intense. The spicy is pretty spicy. Be warned that these two are very similar. Also, both of them were inherently Thai broths. We werent really aware that this was more of a Thai hotpot place, but the menu suggests that.+ Shiitake mushrooms were part of the green plates, which is saying something because usually theyre not included in hot pot or very expensive.+ Meat was good quality, and the vegetables were serviceable.(-- --) The dipping sauces were....not very good. Two ladies behind us seemed to enjoy, but neither of us did. One was some weird Asian take on thousand islands, and it just seems totally mismatched with hotpot. The other was some overly spicy lime/chile sauce. Thats it.(--) Not a huge selection on veggies at all, I was disappointed. Basic cabbage, bok choy, broccoli, cucumbers...and thats kind of it. Was looking for watercress, spinach, etc.(--) The set up at the table was just...clunky. Something just kind of seemed off.-- Some things that we liked: Rice noodles (gave us so much more than the udon noodles plate), shiitake(!), lobster balls, and enoki.-- The seafood medley (frozen assorted seafood combination) was pretty gross, and it was $5.-- The plates that were available to us looked nothing like the plates from when this plate opened, so we were upset about that. Smaller portions and less options :(Price: 3.5/5-- The prices are a little steep than the aforementioned HL Hot Pot (R.I.P.), but we got a check of $31 for 2, which we could definitely slim down next time.-- Drinks are pretty expensive, with no refills for drinks. Thai tea for $3.50? Yikes.-- The meats are pretty expensive here for the small portions, which wouldve been okay, but there were little vegetable options.TIPS:-- Tell him the broth (or two for an extra $3) you want right when you sit down. That way you can just get up and choose your food!-- Rice noodle value is better than udon noodle value-- Stay away from the medley, please. This place could be great, but its not yet. I dont think well make the drive up here unless it improves, but I feel like it will in time.
Ikkyu Japanese Restaurant
645 Antelope Blvd Suite 4, Red Bluff, CA 96080, United States
Update 3/7/24-Well this used to be one of my fave places to eat at in Red Bluff but since the ownership has changed, so has the food quality, service and amounts.Just the other day I called to get a to go order and the woman who answers speaks such poor English that I do not know why she even answers the phone! She can not understand me and I also can not understand her. I asked for Teriyaki Chicken with Tempura, my usual. I was told they dont make Teriyaki Chicken any more, just Sushi. I hope this was wrong.-------------------------------I really like this place. My go to item on the menu is Chicken Teriyaki and Tempura Veggies. The teriyaki sauce is perfectly flavored and has a nice consistency. The rice is always perfect and I am not a salad eater but I do enjoy the salad that comes with the meal here.Service is very friendly at the location. However sometimes when I call in they just answer with Hello and I think that maybe I called the wrong number somehow.I would leave 5* for the food but the portions have gotten smaller. I realize everything has gone up in cost but I used to be able to stop eating it and have enough left over for lunch the next day. Even if you reduce the main course, perhaps add a little extra rice. This last time I ate the entire dinner and usually can not finish the rice portion.Sorry but I can not give any option of the sushi, not a fan of it. But i have had friends tell me that it was really good.
Huckleberrys Breakfast & Lunch
8075 Watt Ave, Antelope, CA 95843, United States
Edited july 6th 2022: went back here for breakfast today and was very disappointed so I am changing my rating to 2 stars. Stacked chicken and waffles were sand dry because the chiken was overcooked and it was hard to chew. Flapjacks had raw batter in the center, eggs had undercooked eggwhites. Also were told that corned beef is no longer made fresh there but instead canned corned beef is now used.... Big disappointment! The waitress was very nice though. I hope this place doesnt go back to old Perkos standards and this was just one bad day ?.Original review: Excellent American breakfast place! My family has been here several times since they opened up and we got great food every time. My personal favorite is chicken waffle sandwich. The chicken is juicy and crispy, the waffles are perfectly chewy yet crispy as well, the sauces are great and pecan butter on top goes really well with the syrup. Its sweet and salty and chewy and crunchy at the same time. YUM!Tried fried green tomatoes - they were great! Eggs benedict and crabcakes - delicious! Skillets are awesome! The beignets deserve a separate reviews because they are divine! They are huge fluffy deep-fried pillows off straight up goodness served with huckleberry, peach, and strawberry sauces AND vanilla cream filling to dip in. We order them every single time. They go well with Iced caramel macchiato.Service is fast, waiters are polite and prompt. Nothing but good things to say about the staff. Its great that this franchise stepped up their game and got their food updates to modern times. Antelope needed a new breakfast and lunch place badly, and I think they will get a lot of business if they keep up serving the good food.
Carlitos Mxican Restaurant
480 Antelope Blvd, Red Bluff, CA 96080, United States
You guys are the worst….. is there even anybody in charge??This place has really gone down hill. Made reservations for a birthday dinner at 5:30. There were 13 of us. We get there and our table isn't ready. The hosts didn't even know we had a reservation so we wait for a table. They set us up in the empty, dirty room for banquets. Dirty tables, vacuum right next to the table. No music, just dead silent. As they are setting up our table, we start to head into the room and are told, NOT YET! There was nowhere else for all of us to go. We had a bunch of balloons and a bunch of people and didn't want to stand in the way in the lobby. The place was packed. We finally sit down. Nobody came for a drink order so a few of us go to the bar to order some drinks only to be told, we can't order at the bar, wait for our server. So we wait and wait….. and wait some more! Finally our server comes in. We had been there about a half hour. Service was ok. We mentioned we needed our bill split up. He brought one check. Didn't sing happy birthday or anything. We barely saw him the whole time.Fast forward to the following weekend. Another birthday dinner, same thing. This time it was only 6 people. We had reservations. Table wasn't ready when we got there. Had to wait about 20 minutes and then another 15 for drinks after we sat down. Not sure what is going on with this place lately but it sucks. Won't be going back for a while. Used to be one of our favorite places.
JJ Sushi
33040 Antelope Rd #104, Murrieta, CA 92563, United States
Please note that this review is for their Chinese food side of things. Apparently their Sushi side has elicited several glowing reviews, and since we do not partake in Sushi we can not say a thing. The place is well decorated, and the sushi table where they prepare the food has a rotation belt, quite unique and advanced at the same time. As stated we only ordered from their Chinese Menu. Once again desiring good Chinese food and after reading the positive reviews in Yelp (almost 5 Stars), we ventured into their place. Place was almost deserted at close to 8 PM, and was hard to believe they stay open until 10 PM according to Yelp. Staff was dressed in black, very modern, and the place looked like a pretty penny had been invested in its development. The following dishes were ordered for take out: Miso Soup, $1.50. Just your average Miso Soup, no more no less, container was the size of a small serving. 3 Stars.Won Ton Soup, $2.95 each, we ordered 3. The broth was dark brown but very thin, almost water like but with a tasty flavor. 3 won tons were to be found inside, and one rather small curly shrimp, which we were about to find out, appeared in every selection that included shrimp, really a midget of a shrimp but curly, so it was good looking. The won ton was not flat, it had filling and tasted okey. Broth the winner. 3.5 Stars.Egg Drop Soup, $2.50 each. Decent enough, it seems that this kind of soup is really not that hard to make, and this one was no different than many others tried. 3 Stars.Crispy Spicy Chicken, $12.95. This one had spices and supposedly would be fried to a crispy texture, but it was not so. This first main entree, and expensive for what it was, did not impress any one in a group of 4. Average all the way. 3 Stars.Triple Delight, $12.95. Fresh mixed vegetables and chicken breast, sliced beef, shrimp stir fried in black sauce. An absolute disappointment, once again with the miniature curly shrimp adorning the dish, really skimpy in the meats, overall taste making me wish I never bought it. 3 Stars.Combination Chow Mein, $9.95. Thick, unsavory noodles with so little anything else, that it really was rejected and labeled a culinary mishap. By now we already new that their Chinese side of the cuisine was lacking more and more. 2 Stars.Shrimp Fried Rice, $8.95. Rice gooey, clumpy, like if it was baked instead of fried as it is supposed to be done, midget curly shrimp which by now we were wondering if it was a larger shrimp cut in such small pieces, barely any shrimp at all, no flavor in the shrimp, a cost saving crustacean most likely with no redeeming qualities. 2 Stars. The place looks great, the staff well dressed, and the ambiance pretty good for this area. Perhaps, as I mentioned, their Sushi side is the real winner in the tale of this place, because their Chinese side, besides being a tad expensive, lacks the quality and flavor of better Chinese food. Total take out bill: $65 plus. First and definitely last visit. 3 Stars.
Blaze Pizza
29881 Antelope Rd Suite 100, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
We had to stop by, if only out is respect for having stopped by to the openings of Cane's? Cafe Rio, Firehouse Subs, and the latest franchise being Blaze. We overslept so at the door we were not on any of these new places, before they opened their doors, but we made it soon enough. This plaza is becoming a serious contender, in more ways than one, Baron's Market, Gym, keeps the what's next factor in full alert, and Menifee ? mighty good.Arrived for our first rendezvous with blaze around late afternoon. A friendly line could be seen outside, a festive feeling in the air, kind of like waiting willingly. I had acquired their app in the apple ? app store, created my account, and paid in full for our order of 7 initial pizza pies with apple pay. Feeling slightly pleased that I was not required to join the line up, I was rather invigorated, as well as excited when I was told I could just step in and head for the online area pickup station. There was a single stack of boxes, but not quite seven, so two fully paid for were missing in action. Bummer! Here was for hoping for a ninja in and out. I was immediately approached, and after showing the order number the situation was swiftly dealt with, and since their grand oven really cooks this things to almost perfection in just a few minutes I was still in a fairly jovial mood. Was given an empty cup for a drink of my choice, met the general manager Tim, very likable fellow if you ask me, fair and concerned, and I held myself back from a hug fest, figuring that it would probably reveal my softer side, and that certainly could cause debate. Pizzas ready, nicely boxed, I exited a happy man, even offering my free cup to someone I never had the pleasure of meeting before. Oh, did I say the sun had come out that day briefly? We ate at home, several combinations of their very enticing list of available ingredients. Two lovely ladies created their masterpizzas, and two hungry men, father and son, just piled the toppings greedily in our share, and voila! all at the same price. I got this heavy 11 inches, that may as well say it now, put all pizza competitors to shame. A truly Fire'd ? pizza for sure, with higher customer service skill, a caring staff, what is not too like? Rulers of the plaza, as everyone agreed, vegetarians or voracious meat ? seekers, there was a definite winner. 5 Stars.
