India House Restaurant
7934 Valley View St, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
We truly enjoyed the delightful conversations and scrumptious North Indian - Punjabi dinner that included Veggie Pakoras, Paneer Pakoras, Salty Lassi, Saag Paneer, Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Dani, Plain Pulao, and Aloo Gobi* (albeit we returned it for being too spicy.) The service was excellent. We were even served complimentary Gulab Jamun by the restaurant. We discovered this place by chance by trying to find Indian Vegetarian restaurants. And we are so glad we did! We look forward to visiting them again in the future.
Taco Bell
10010 Valley View St, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Staff makes a lot of mistakes. They screwed up my order twice. I had to go there twice. The night manager blamed it all on me and declined to give me my money back on the 1 item they failed to give me. Never again will my family or i will go there. The staff seems like they lack training. I was told by the cashier i was the 3rd customer tonite this has happened to. The night manager is arrogant and disrespectful. After blaming me and declining to give me his first name, he wantes me to use the cashiers name which is innocent. And completly disregarded my concern. I suggest they put the whole staff back thru training. Give that night manager some management training. He seemed ill equipped to handle the situation professionally. NEVER AGAIN! I am out $4+ dollars due to his lack bof service skills .

Pho N Mor (Buena Park)
7941 Beach Blvd ste e, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
I ate the whole bowl of pho before I realized that I forgot to take a picture to do a review on this place. When my cousin and I enter this pho place, its has a really nice vibes. There was a really nice hand-drawing art on the wall as well. Kevin was the server who seated us. We both ordered the pho tai bo vien, and I specific ordered a side of rib. The foods arrived approximately 5 minutes because we came almost till their closing time (thank god they let us in). The bowl of pho gave such a nice aroma, the broths taste great, and the meats was tender. I ate my pho with the side of hoisin sauce, sriracha, sate, and lime to make the perfect balance of dipping sauce to dip the meat into. I recommend anyone who hasn't come here to give it a try for yourself because I totally love it, and finished the whole bowl in less than 15 minutes.
Portos Bakery and Cafe
7640 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
I love Portos food. Their items never disappoint, sweet, savory, seasonal, its always good. Coming from someone who has historically always frequented their original store, I decided to visit the Buena Park store because it is currently their largest location and I was in the area visiting. I didnt care for this location. The fact that its in a high tourist area does effect the crowds, however, thats not what will deter future visits for me. Its the decrease in the amount of single serve dessert items at this location and lack of customer service. They did not have any of the single serve desserts that I usually get from the Glendale store. Every single one I asked for (3 of them) I was told sorry, we dont have that here so I settled for 2 that they did have. The guy taking our order at the counter looked very annoyed that I was asking for these desserts. One of the ones that I settled for was still not single serve it was the Tres Leches slice which was a larger loaf size, so its shareable. The guy taking our order waved us over when we arrived and immediately just asked what do you want to order, no smile, zero eye contact, he kept looking around while taking our order then kept asking me to repeat myself. If he would look at me while I was ordering hed do a better job. I love that when I go to the Glendale store if Im craving a single slice of the tres leches, strawberry shortcake or various others I could get a single slice. Dont expect that at this location. They have a small case of single serve desserts only. A variety of about 8 of their cake desserts only. Please keep in mind Im referring to the cakes not the baked pastries, they had tons of those. Im only talking about the single serve cake desserts like LeOpera and other cake desserts. I was very disappointed that I couldnt get their slices at this location since I was expecting the same availability. This location also lacks the Portos flagship store character that Ive grown to love over the years and their super friendly staff. This store has a very industrialized appearance. One giant square glass box. It does have 2 full service counters as well as a coffee bar and bakery counter for just cakes. Although it has a ridiculously long line just to enter, the line moved pretty fast. Once you order the wait time can be a little extensive, especially if you order sandwiches from the cafe. We did not dine in because it was too crowded inside. But since we waited 30 minutes for our 2 sandwiches, we did eat some of the other items we had already received from the bakery counter. In total we spent 1 hour at this location for a to-go order. My next visit to Portos will be at their Glendale location. Where although its busy as heck, you always get a smile, are kindly greeted and when you go to the counter you feel like familia, like theyre just there to help you. Customer service is lacking at this location. I know its busy, but thats no excuse to slack on the people aspect of the business. What I remember about businesses is not how quickly they got me my order, but how they made me feel while I was there waiting. I saw many workers at Portos today bustling about, running and moving quickly about to hustle and get orders out quickly. What I didnt see (or experience) was friendly customer service.
In-N-Out Burger
7926 Valley View St, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
This was my wife and I first time at this location... the young man that was taking the orders was running back and forth directing the flow of cars in the line as well as taking down the precise orders of the customers. He was definitely out of breath but very friendly, also the person the completed our order was very friendly.. when my wife ask to speak with a manager the employee was very prompt to get a manager. The manager my wife spoke with was very friendly and ask what he help with. My wife just want to compliment p order taker in the line as well as the employee that completed the order and the manager as well on their well doing of their job especially the employee that was handling the orders in the line. The manager stated that my wife could call the companies questions and comments and leave a message concerning how are experience was, and he was very pleased that how the employees were that day.
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
7662 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Nobody comes here for a fine dining experience - that being said - for the price, we do expect more than half frozen food and overworked servers. We went to Medieval Times in Dallas in April 2024 on a weeknight. We were disappointed that the “torture museum” has been removed and replaced by viewing of the horses who looked exhausted and unhappy. I might be a bit sensitive to animals emotion and I freely admit that but I was uncomfortable seeing them tied up in such a confined space for our entertainment. Large purchases were made quickly upon admittance, and while not advertised, there was no option for upgrade in seating despite spending a considerable amount of money in the “gift shop”. We couldn't hear the entertainers telling us how to enter or what to do so we just following drunk people with similar colored crowns. The venue was not full, but we were all spread out so that each knight had a fan club. The tomato soup was relatively good, as well as the half seasoned potato, the drink options were more than limited - lemonade, unsweet tea, pepsi, all of which were carried around in a single tray by servers who were given way too many customers to attend to. I say this as the absolute last person for every round of service. Soup was poured from a thermos into everyone's bowl, followed by frozen Texas Toast like what you buy at Walmart, half chicken was small and cold, small ear of corn with no seasoning, half a potato, rounded out with a still frozen box club version if an eclair. I get it: No one goes for the food, but…still frozen?? Really? The poor servers seemed to get for money having prefilled their tip cards specifically outlining the tip range - I'm really curious how much they get paid because they do A LOT of work, as well as the souvenir salespeople. The show was fine, outside of the horses, some of whom appeared injured, and I just fundamentally have issue with whipping of animals to get them to do what you want. In reading this, I'm clearly not the ideal customer. Overall, you will see a show, you will be fed, you will overpay for everything, but you or your family member will likely have a really good time if this is your thing! Just not for me- and don't get me started on the hour long wait just for the doors to open.
Ramen & Tsukemen TAO
10488 Valley View St, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Found a tsukemen ramen shop that didnt require driving down to Little Tokyo. Ramen & Tsukemen Tao had four stars and several positive reviews from my Yelp buddies. Ive never tried tsukemen dipping ramen before and knew it existed during my visits to Daikokuya, but I automatically go with their delicious bowl of tonkatsu ramen. I was curious about the method of dipping the cold noodles to the miso soup, and four stars with several positive reviews from my Yelp buddies, I gave it a try.The miso tsukemen ($11.15) came with a slice of chasu pork, chopped onions, bamboo shoots, and a lime slice. Also included inside the plastic bowl was a tiny container of water so that if you want to enjoy the meal inside your car, you will use the water to separate and untangle the noodles. Hahaha correct me if Im wrong; this was my first tsukemen experience. Added the soft-boiled ajitama/egg (+ $1.50) with the runny yolk and went with a large size (+ $2). Also included are three small containers with garlic, seaweed flakes, and shichimi (Japanese spice mixtures).Their signature miso soup is thick, rich, creamy, and oily. You gotta dip your fat noodles into it, and no way can you gulp down the miso soup like the tonkatsu broth because itll be overwhelming. Although the miso broth is half full in the container, it was more than enough to finish the noodles with plenty of broth leftover. The chashu don ($3.50) or the pork rice bowl is a nice add-on. Itll go well with the sriracha sauce or by itself. The shop has outdoor tables set up. Order at their website for take-outs to avoid the surcharge by going through a third-party online food ordering platform.
HIRO Ramen & Udon
5252 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
We were in the area and craving some good asian food and saw this place pop up on yelp! Google maps took us to the far end of the parking lot and we had to keep driving to the other end to see the back of the restaurant which was kind of weird so be mindful of that.We came on a saturday afternoon and there were only two other small parties eating so it was nice it wasnt packed. Super simple setup - you order at the touch screen and pay too. Then you just grab a table and wait for your name or number to be called. Everything else is self serve so drinks, condiments, take out boxes, etc.Its nice for those who may struggle with social interaction but the short interaction with the staff was very friendly.I got the tonkotsu ramen and we shared the chicken katsu and gyoza. The ramen has thin noodles which i was surprised by, but they were tasty and the meat was well cooked. Broth didnt have a super rich flavor like most tonkotsu ramens I get, but it was still good and I ate the majority of it.Gyoza was yummy and the sauce was great to dip in. The fried chickenkatsu was great and well cooked. Just a few pieces really filled me up and the sauce was delicious as well.Overall, a nice place that if we ever come visit the area we will come back to try more items since the menu is so large.
Slurpin Ramen Bar
7941 Beach Blvd #G, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Slurpin Ramen Bar is a small ramen restaurant neatly tucked away in the same shopping center as Claimjumpers. It sits right across from Knotts Berry Farm, so you could easily pass this spot without ever knowing you did, which would be unfortunate. The level of flavor the ramen carries is quite considerable. You can choose between mild to hot, and even the mild has a level of heat and flavor that can not be denied. They carry the usual and unusual fare of appetizers, such as takoyaki, bulgogi spring rolls, garlic edamame, and the like. You cannot go wrong with any choice, as for the ramen you can choose the usual tonkatsu broth, the chef special which comes with corn, crunchy onions, bean sprouts, spinach, and umami oil, a veggie ramen, as well as tsukemen for dipping. Choose what style you desire. They have a lunch combo from 11:30 to 3 everyday where an additional four dollars gives you a house salad, appetizer, and ramen of your choice ( some apps have an additional price point included ) and parties of six or more is an added gratuity. You can split the bill, so keep that in mind or bring cash to decide what works best for the group. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, tasty food, and a nice diversion from the amusement park fare that anaheim is very well known for. Not that its bad, but every now and again, you desire something a bit different. This works.
Giant Ramen & Sushi
4544 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Place is ok, there are so many better places though! I would eat here if I didn't want to go out too far. Black garlic ramen was seriously lacking flavor but the udon was good. Sushi was standard and the hoedeopbap was tasty, just didn't have much fish. Maybe I've been spoiled but service was poor. Girl was trying to talk to me across a loud room and ordering was slow. It was only her working this particular evening so it might have been overwhelming. We were told at 9:10 that they closed at 9:15 (nicely told us to gtfo), but we were confused because google says they close at 9:30. Didn't matter too much because we were about done anyways. Despite the negatives, definitely give it a try, palettes are always different. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't come here again, could've been a one-off night and I always like to give establishments another shot.
