Great new Indian restaurant in Campbell. There aren’t many Indian places here so I was really excited about this place and they are actually really good. They aren’t authentic in terms of the menu items but the taste is pretty authentic. I had been there right after they opened and had a few qualms about their food but when I went the second time they had corrected all of it. We even got to talk to the owner who was looking for some feedback which is very important for a new restaurant. They have good vegetarian options and starters.

Chef Ko Chinese Cuisine
876 W Hamilton Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Chef Ko has a separate menu for plant based eaters that has 6 pages of vegetarian & vegan options. But why order anything off that menu when you can be a prima donna and make up your own? Ask em to to make something custom like spicey Singapore Chow Fun. Its vegan if you ask them to make it without the egg. Thats seriously good eats. See my photo. As for celestial bodies, this restaurant easily gets 5 stars. I would even throw in a Crab Nebula to the rating if that was vegan. Chef Ko has all the meat substitutes you can desire. Why cant more places take a hint from this menu. This is the way of the future.Theres a 10% off (15% for dine in) coupon on their site too.Order a nice Chardonnay with your spicy noodle dish.

I will definitely need to go back because I forgot to take pictures of the delicious food we had. It was our first time and we were a bit skeptical about how authentic and tasty the food might be - to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The chicken and beef skewers were packed with flavor (we ended up ordering more mid meal). We also ordered the chicken Cha Kroeng which paired beautifully with just jasmine rice. The price point is perfect for an evening out if you're not keen on burning a hole in your pocket. The only thing that I couldn't make sense of is why this restaurant wasn't packed out and why there weren't lines around the block of people waiting to get in - either this place is a hidden gem or people prefer to order take out (not that I'm complaining, as it meant we were seated and served very quickly)Can't wait to go back and try out the other dishes on the menu.

Local Kitchens
1640 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Out of sheer curiosity decided to stop and try local kitchens....after staring at 634 complicated menu choices (dry humor but Im guessing there were well over 200 menu items), its no In N Out with a simple menu, finally decided to try the patty melt and an order of fries that had slaw and chicken chunks. My client had bbq burger and at our request, they substituted the normal hamburger bun with the same sliced french bread they make the patty melt with. For 2 sandwiches and frys our total was $42. They added an automatic 5% SERVICE CHARGE which we had no choice but pay and then asked how much of a tip we wanted to include....$50+ for 2 small sandwiches and fancy fries with NO drinks? There was no soda fountain, no complimentary water to be seen and their prepackaged drink choices seemed awkward. Ok, better be good right? The reality is, it was just ok, Carls JR has better burgers as does InNout, for less we could have driven a few blocks south to Andys saved money, had more food, better food and a better environment. Its a little strange sitting in a white lable, non descript restaurant and then served with to-go containers we had to go back to the counter to pick-up, which we then opend up at our table and ate. Its kinda fast food at a premium price? Their staff were friendly and tried (within their means) to do a good job with the limitations of the facility and menu.Still a little baffled who their market is and what they are. I could understand a ghost kitchen if they did delivery only but yikes, $42 plus tip, plus delivery, your probalby close to $65 for 2 burgers and fancy fries, worth it? Food was just soso, def not comfort food, high grease content, I wasnt impressed and wont be going back. Dont get me wrong, the food wasnt bad, it just wasnt good or appealing and there was nothing unique about the food, especially at that price level in an awkward dining environment eating out of styrofoam to go containers that we ordered at a counter and then had to pick up. Its 9:06pm as I write this and my stomach is still growling trying to digest our lunch which we at at around 1:45. Almost forgot, concrete floors and hard walls with blaring music created an environment that didnt feel welcoming. It was cold, informal, we had to service ourselves (order & pick up) and we couldnt talk over the music system, yes it was that loud. Unless somebody twists my arm i.e. significant other or my daughter, Im not going back based on my experience.

Campbell Farmers Market
Along E. Campbell Ave., between Central Ave and, S Third St, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
I love Campbells Farmers Market. Theres such a variety of fruits and vegetables at a great price. Theres also vendors that are local and have a lot of organic choices from their rainbow eggs to their local honey. They also have a section for Artisans to sell their crafts and Im really impressed with some of the things that bring there. It is quality and a lot of fun. There was one boo that was transferring your photos in your cell phone to a metal plate which you could hang on a wall. Amazing. And many other vendors are giving out free samples so you can taste test before you buy. I bought some really healthy plants. And some wonderful vegetables. And if you are not a chef, there are booths that are selling food which are very good as well. Sundays in Campbell for their Farmers Market is a nice easy quiet relaxing Sunday day.

Royal Kebabs and Gyros
1712 W Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Finished my workout at the gym next door, thought ahead to my next meal and realized it required a trip to the store. I'm hungry so I decide to give this place a try. Teenage host is great, very welcoming. We have a great exchange, I'm feeling good about my decision to eat here. I order the combo gyro wrap to go, he says to give them 5mins. The young man was great.Go back in, it's been 5. Cook says it's pretty much done. He wraps up my order and tosses it on pick-up counter, places yogurt sauce beside it. I'm heading home so I require no fuss: no cutlery, plastic bag, etc. and grab my sandwich. I notice the kind host that took my order on a table eating, it must be his lunch. Sandwich in-hand, I walk out. Then cacophony behind me, I'm being asked to stop. Alarmed, I turn around. They're (2 cooks behind the counter and a service lady, now a half-step behind me) speaking their native tongue so I don't understand. They're all looking at the young man that took my order, he's looking horrified and answering their questions irritatedly. He smiles at me and assures me there's no problem, the others still a touch hostile. Not too difficult to decode that one, they wanted to be sure I'd paid for my food. Classic micro-aggression, another paper cut from life.Get home, the worst sandwich ever. Textures are great but there's literally no taste to the food. It's bland. It's tasteless. It's not seasoned at all. 3 bites of a half and the rest is in the garbage. Went to the store in the end. Never looking at this place ever again, let alone walking in.

Lisas Tea Treasures
2305 S Winchester Blvd #110, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
VI had my bridal shower at Lisas Tea Treasures for around 16 people. We had our private room & overall, the staff was very nice. I have never been to this tea house before my bridal shower, but I have been to other tea houses in California. I have to say I was a little underwhelmed, unfortunately. We picked the top package with them and thought it was going to be a very special day. To start, they brought out three tea pots for 16 people and only refilled them with the starting teas we did not have any additional options. I only saw the staff when they were switching out plates and asked us to ring bells if we needed them. Unfortunately, I nor anyone in my party felt comfortable ringing a loud bell in front of the entire party to get their attention and would have rather they just checked in with us. I thought that they would bring out the food on tea towers like traditional tea would but they were pre-platted giving us limited options. The sandwiches were dry and lacked flavor, not to mention they had nuts in them, and were served without telling anyone, which is surprising to me as it is a top allergens. Also, with the desserts we thought we were going to get multiple options but only got chocolate mouse with a macaroon which I was not a fan of. Around halfway through the party, I had so much sediment in the bottom of my teacup, that I could no longer use it and stopped drinking and, since I did not feel comfortable ringing the bell, I did not get a new one. I could go on and on, but overall for the price we paid for a party this large, I was super disappointed and wish they would have done a little more. I think a little more attention and customization would have lead to a much better experience. I am sure that this is partly my fault for not doing more research but for the top tea house in San Jose, I had high hopes.

Pure vegetarian and authentic South Indian restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious, we tried ghee dosa, ghee rava onion masala dosa, idly vada combo and onion tomato chili uthappam. Everything was so so good and service is excellent. I’d highly recommend you try this place, we will be coming back here whenever we crave South Indian food.
