Nekter Juice Bar
3435 Del Mar Heights Rd #9, San Diego, CA 92130, United States
How ironic is it that I found this place while stopping at Jimbos right next door for freshly squeezed veggie juice. I was happily sipping my 16oz Alive Green in my car when Nektars logo bright logo jumped out at my in the parking lot (well, to be honest, I was checking out Carnitas Snack Shack right next to Nektar and wondering what fried item Id get if I wasnt trying to be healthy).I came back later today as there wasnt any info on this location. The companys website made me feel the locations only sold their series of Cleanse program juices. So I was happy to discover that this place is kinda like a healthy Jamba Juice and a more affordable Whole Foods/Jimbos Juice bar. No joke. The 16oz Greenie drink I bought was only $4.95 (compare that to $7.95 for the 16 oz similar drink I just bought from Jimbos earlier that morning). The Greenie drink had parsley, spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, lemon and apple. I opted out of the apple in lieu of extra lemon. The drinks are made in the back where you can kinda see someone stuffing the fresh veggies into a blender. The kitchen isnt open like Jamba or Jimbos. The Greenie tasted pretty good. I appreciated how the cashier asked if I wanted the drink with ice. Dont forget the juices usually come out room temperature.I will so be back for their Make Your Own Blend option: choose base (carrot, orange, celery, apple) and add any (or is there max limit?) of these (kale, spinach, parsley, ginger, lemon, cucumber, beets, broccoli, grapesAnd Im looking at the pic again I took of the prices for their fresh juices:16 oz $4.9524 oz $6.9532 oz $8.95REALLY reasonable. Seriously. They also have a variety of smoothies and acai bowls. So curious to see other yelpers future reviews about these items.Cute quaint location and the cashier was incredibly friendly & knowledgeable. Glad to see them in this strip mall.
Fresh Brothers Pizza Newport Beach
1616 San Miguel Dr, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625, United States
Pizza is good, my wife likes it better than I; but both of us were very unhappy today. My favorite part is their coke machine, only type of machine I get diet caffeine-free vanilla creme coke, or diet cherry or orange hi-c or minute maid.Requested for them to refill the diet sweetener portion since all diet drinks were out. Waited 25 minutes, asked again if they are going to refill coke machine, answer was not sure. Then to-go sausage/pepperoni for my son and his friends arrived. This requested to be in a to-go box. But was server as dine-in. No box, and took almost 15 minutes for them to give me a box, every time I went to counter to request box, the cashier said she will bring one. On the 3rd attempt, finally I received a box.My wife is ok with meat toppings so she had one slice from the to-go pizza. Our dine-in cheese pizza finally came out 40 minutes after we ordered, but in a to-go box???My wife had already finished by this time. So for me, water to drink after paying for a Coke, (Note, they offered a refund, but I refused hoping they would replace the diet sweetener in the machine), and our pizza finally came out after my wife was ready to leave.Added after reading other reviews, our cashier was not rude at all, she was a little clueless and didnt listen well, but definitely was not rude.
Del Mar RendezvousMorning Muse
1555 Camino Del Mar #102, Del Mar, CA 92014, United States
I found out about this wonderful restaurant from the front desk at the Del Mar Inn down the street. My boyfriend and I decided to check it out for lunch. They have an extensive selection of wine displayed beautifully as you walk in. The decor is crisp and classy with rich dark woods accented with sage colored walls. Anthony greeted us with a friendly smile and walked us to our table. He brought us some of their specially filtered water and we were told about the special selection of vegetarian dishes and the Rendezvous House special menu items. We shared some vegetable spring rolls to start. Then I chose the Buddhas Feast with brown rice served with a light salad as well. I ate it all gone - I almost licked the plate ;-) I would definitely recommend Rendezvous to friends and family. It is the most top notch Chinese Food establishment I have ever had the pleasure of dining in.

Ikes Love & Sandwiches
3545 Del Mar Heights Rd C6, Del Mar, CA 92130, United States
Was really excited to visit Ike's after not having eaten there since college a few years ago. When we showed up on Saturday evening (yesterday) around 7 and they loudly announced they had a $200 order and it would be at least a 30 min wait. We determined we were willing to wait and went to go order. However, we ended up standing at the counter for 5+ mins waiting for someone to take our order while the 3 staff (2 males & a female) were right there next to us just totally ignoring the fact that we still wanted to get our order in- it was like getting ghosted in person. During this time other people would walk in line and they would only break their “ghosting” to shout “we have a $200 order it's gonna be at least 30 mins” while proceeding to STILL not take our order or at least say that they won't be taking orders. The bearded guy in the chiefs shirt clearly wanted to create an uninviting situation to make people leave instead, which they did when they saw they wouldn't even take our order at the front of the line. So rude. So, we decided to sit down until they were ready to take our order. About 15 mins later someone walks in and they decide to take their order. It really rubbed us the wrong way that 1. They wouldn't even acknowledge they weren't going to take orders, and 2. They knew we were waiting to order and then took someone else's order knowing we were waiting. Only then did we get in line to take our order. Sandwiches were good but we spent an hour there, where more than half the time was spent with treatment like they wanted us to go away. Oh yeah, we never even saw the person come in for their $200 order that needed to be ready in 30 mins during the hour we were there. Overall, I was disappointed they so heavily prioritized their online order over the people coming in. I'd be more understanding if they had been polite about the situation and taken our order so we could at least get our order “in line” for when they could get started on it. Oh yeah, there weren't any Carmel apple pops anymore either. These two stars are only because I love the vegetarian options.

Captain Mauris
149 Avenida Del Mar, San Clemente, CA 92672, United States
I love this place. I've been coming here since it was captain culver's…. Over 20 years ago… and the things I'm obsessed with are:1. Bombay Melt (curried chicken with secret Bali sauce, tomato, onion, and cheese atop an English muffin) served with soup of the day, green salad, or potato salad2. POG- passionfruit, orange, guava juice. They also have delicious smoothies. The place is owned by Mauricio but you'll often find his daughters working the restaurant. :)They are lovely people with excellent customer service. You can sit inside or outside. It's a very laid back vibe. You order at the counter, and then they will bring your food out to you or call you when it's ready. The only thing you need to know, is sometimes they close a little early.. even though their hours are usually till 16:00, I've found them closed at 15:00 or 15:30. I suspect it all depends on how busy they are. So, if you want an afternoon snack, I recommend you call ahead to make sure they are still open.

The Sandwich Spot
2801 East Coast Hwy C, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625, United States
On a sunny day in Corona Del Mar, I found myself at The Sandwich Spot, a cozy fast-casual eatery I decided to try for the first time. The weather was perfect for a midday meal, and I was keen on a relaxed lunch experience.Walking into The Sandwich Spot, the small yet welcoming ambiance struck me immediately. Its the kind of place where the simplicity of the setting belies the richness of the flavors on offer. The staff, appropriately staffed for the size of the joint, greeted me with a helpful and friendly attitude, setting a positive tone for my visit.Opting for takeout, I ordered the #2 The Dani California Club on a wheat roll - a sandwich that promised a blend of turkey, bacon, cheddar, and avocado. To complement it, I chose jalapeño chips, hoping for a spicy kick to my meal. The ordering process was smooth, and despite the restaurant being just right in terms of staffing, my order was ready in a surprisingly fast 10 minutes. As I waited, I noticed the diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Its a thoughtful touch that speaks volumes about the inclusivity of the place. The pricing, I observed, was more favorable when ordering in-store compared to delivery services, a tip worth remembering for future visits. One of the most delightful surprises was their loyalty punch card system - a buy ten, get one free offer that immediately appealed to my sense of value. Its a clever way to encourage repeat visits, and I could already see myself coming back to try more of their offerings.Sipping on my soda, I found the seating to be adequate for a casual dining spot. While there was no indoor bathroom, the cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable. The moderate noise level, accompanied by subtle background music, made for a pleasant atmosphere while I waited for my order. When my meal was ready, I was pleased with the presentation and the portion size - just right for a fulfilling lunch. The first bite of The Dani California club was a delightful experience. The freshness of the avocado, the savoriness of the bacon, and the tender turkey came together in a harmonious blend, while the cheddar added a creamy richness to each bite. The jalapeño chips were a perfect side - crunchy and with just the right amount of heat.As I left, navigating the somewhat difficult on-street parking situation, I reflected on my visit. The Sandwich Spot in Corona Del Mar is a gem for those seeking a casual, yet satisfying meal. With its friendly service, diverse menu, and reasonable pricing, its a place that warrants repeat visits. And with the added incentive of the loyalty card, Im already looking forward to my next sandwich adventure here. The Sandwich Spot is more than just a place to grab a quick bite; its a spot where quality, service, and value converge to create a delightful dining experience. Whether youre a local or just passing through Corona Del Mar, its a place that should be on your sandwich destination list.Note: I ate my sandwich so quickly I forgot to snap photos. Ill be sure to return to the Sandwich Spot in the future to correct that oversight.
Salt Lime
1201 Camino Del Mar Suite 101, Del Mar, CA 92014, United States
We had driven past this restaurant many times when in Del Mar over the last year or so and thought it looked like a fun place. We finally made it in for dinner on 4/13/24. We had outstanding service from Brisa. All 3 people in our party loved their food. (My personal favorite was the mashed potato taquitos!!) As our family is made up of a carnivore, a pescatarian and a vegetarian, we really appreciated that the menu had lots of tasty-looking options in all 3 categories! Service A+, Food A+, Ambience A+. We look forward to returning here in the future.
