Krua Thai Restaurant
731 Munras Ave # A, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
This is definitely a vegetarian-friendly restaurant. Since we don’t eat onions and garlics, the waitress checked carefully with kitchen about the dishes we want to order. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Tom Yum Soup and Fried Banana with Coconut Vanilla Ice Cream. All the dishes are quite delicious. If you come to Monterey, I’ll suggest you come and try the food here.
3 Mundos Sandwich Shop
2233 N Fremont St, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
VEGANS, DO NOT EAT HERE, YOU MIGHT BE EATING REAL MEAT: the young kids who work the register do not care about their job and they do not care if you are vegan. The two young kids that work there are consistently very rude and on their phones while working. I understand that they are kids but we’ve been very patient with them. My friend ordered the VEGAN cubano and the girl working had to be told the order 3 separate times because she simply was not paying attention. she also had headphones in while taking all of the people’s orders I brought to their restaurant. My friend who is a VEGAN of 10 + years ate REAL MEAT today. He was DEVASTATED. And he THREW UP EVERYTHING THE SECOND WE GOT HOME. I felt very let down and disrespected (I never leave negative reviews.) however, I have been given REAL MEAT TWICE NOW AFTER CLEARLY ORDERING VEGAN SANDWICHES. And the young kids that work their SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER OR IF YOU GET REAL MEAT. I have been eating at mundos since 2014. Although the owner came out and personally apologized, I still feel the need to leave this review because it is not fair to people who have food allergies to real meat, people who don’t eat meat for religious or cultural reasons and vegans/vegetarians!!!!As a vegetarian of 8 + years, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to you if you are considering ordering a vegan sandwich.
Happy Family Restaurant

Venerable vegetarian restaurant that has been delighting customers pallets for over 30 years, located in a very busy urban mall with lots of underground parking.
Siam Thai Restaurant
17120 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
Great Thai food in Morgan Hill. Awesome pesco-vegetarian options. It is a small restaurant that is literally in a house but it is great. Service is always great as well as the food.
Rock N Roll Donut Bar
685 Cannery Row Suite 101, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
This place is decorated sooo cool and the ambiance is really comfortable and the owner was so friendly and very nice. I hate that we are leaving a 3 star review, because we really wanted to love this place. From the moment you walk in its fun and bright and there is just so much to look at. However I will say I think we just came on an off day because I have friends who have visited here and raved about it. We plan on going back to Monterey in a couple of months and I definitely want to give this place another shot. The morning we came the owner was kind of frazzled and was by himself dealing with all of the opening duties plus customers so I get that, we had no problem waiting around for him to get settled and do what he needed to. He did mention to us that his morning started off crazy because the Aquarium placed a huge order and he had to deliver and get back to open up shop. Everything looked perfect and delicious, his donuts are definitely easy on the eyes and there are many to choose from its hard just to get more than a couple. We also ordered a coffee and he gave that to us on the house for waiting which was so (amazingly nice of him) we were super stoked to bite into our donuts but when we did they tasted so stale and old :( my husbands berry fritter was really stale and crumbled apart once he took his first bite. Our chocolate bar and chocolate rounds were also just very tough and seemed old. I was so sad and I truly do think we just came on an off day like I said, it won't deter me from trying this place out again because if my rating were solely on customer service/ambiance it would be a 5 stars for us! Thank you for the superb service, the free coffee and also the military discount! We appreciated it all!
Bay of Pines Organic Restaurant
150 Del Monte Ave, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
I hate to have to leave a bad review for this place because the staff was very kind. However my food was really terrible! I was excited to try this place since it claims to be organic and sustainable. I ordered pasta with shrimp. It was completely flavorless. Not bland, flavorless. The pasta was overcooked to a mush. The shrimp were not properly cleaned and deveined, overcooked and rubbery with no taste. They claim the seafood is sustainable however this shrimp seemed like it was commercially farmed for chain restaurants as again it was flavorless. The sauce was a flavorless white that added nothing to the dish. If they had cooked with at least a pinch of salt the dish wouldnt have been so awful. I threw it away as it was takeout and gave up on dinner for the evening.

Ikes Love & Sandwiches
570 Munras Ave #70, Monterey, CA 93940, United States
First time getting Ikes sandwich. I wanted to get the Reuben but its not a traditional Reuben sandwich. The best Reuben locally Ive had is from the Market at Pebble Beach.I like the spin on their Reuben which I opted for the French roll and they had no Russian dressing so I substituted Thousand Island dressing. The pastrami was high quality and not overpowering and not the usual peppery briney Pastrami. I like the sweetness of the Purple sauerkraut which is sweeter then the typically sauerkraut.I liked the sandwich as a whole but my taste buds were expecting the tanginess of a typical Reuben. No taste of Rye bread since this was a much sweeter version of a Pastrami sandwich. I think 95 percent of people who like pastrami would like this sandwich.I gave 4 Stars because of price, a little pricey for this sandwich and received via Door dash. Quality food but I would like to go back physically and try another sandwich
Taco Bell
5538 Monterey Hwy, San Jose, CA 95138, United States
If you want to call in sick the next day, this is the place to go. Last night my wife and I picked up Taco Bell for dinner. After having it I became ill, unable to sleep throughout the night from it coming back up! This morning, my wife had to call in to work due to feeling ill from the food also. Its pretty upsetting and disappointing to encounter a situation like this especially when youve gone to a specific location more than once and have received outstanding service in the past only to receive a horrific nightmare.Ive had the food from this location and have NEVER had this problem not once!! I woke up out of my sleep AT 4am from pain, nausea, and vomiting. This is the worst experience at this location. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN!!!
Mr. Falafel
17455 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, United States
The wife and I tried to eat at Bettos last Saturday night and every table was full and the 2 waiters that were working looked DEEP in the weeds. So we decided to walk to Mr. Falafel and give it a shot. Boy did that turn out to be a good thing. Im not a big falafel guy but I do like Mediterranean food. Theyve got a pretty varied menu but I was looking for something with chicken breast and maybe some lamb. So I ended up getting a combo plate that comes with 2 skewers and asked for one chicken and one lamb. While we were waiting the owner Art asked if we wanted to try their Hummus. Im not really a Hummus guy, (Art said this is because Ive only eaten crappy store-bought Hummus), but the wife is so she tried it and said that it was indeed very good. Al suggested trying their spicy sauce on the chicken so I took a couple of containers of that home.Everything was delicious, even the dressing on the green salad that came with the combo plate. The spicy sauce was quite spicy but very good as well. About the only complaint I had was that the chicken was a bit overcooked. But everything was spiced very well. We will definitely come back to Mr. Falafel.Apparently the family that owns this restaurant also owns Betsys, Ajays and Noahs. Must be nice.
