Veggie Garden
2464 W El Camino Real C, Mountain View, CA 94040, United States
Ive been to every Chinese restaurant in west Mountain View, and this is by far my favorite. Their food is fresh and not too salty; I havent found anything on the menu that wasnt good. Service is very good. I have non-vegetarian friends who have said that their protein options are on par with meat. This is my favorite place to suggest when looking for a place in Mountain View to get lunch or dinner.

Horrible experience, Initially waited f10 minutes while 6-7 employees walked by, made eye contact, but did nothing to help, they didnt even ask if we had been helped yet. Finally when I ordered I couldnt get what I wanted as Corn + Peppers is considered a protein. After making alternative choices I asked the young lady helping me if I could do 1/2 roasted chicken and 1/2 blackend, I also told her I only wanted one serving of chicken as I couldnt either nor did want to pay for a double order. She was nice enough to accommodate me (or so I thought). When Jade wrang up my order I told her I did 1/2 and 1/2 - she even asked the young lady putting together my order. Needless to say when I got home they had charged me for a double order. I called and asked to speak to a manager, the first person who answered asked, why? why do you need to speak with our manager when I told her she replied there isnt a manger available now or today, you should come back here and speak with the person who helped you.So Sweetgreen - do you train you staff not to listen to the customers? Do you intentionally try and bring the check total up? Do you charge people even when its not what they ordered? Was today an example of a systematic issue or a mistake followed by poor customer service?

Hyderabad Dum Biryani
2105 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
For those who like vegetarian biryani, stay away from this restaurant. I ordered a hyderbadi paneer biryani to go and it was very very bland. I was charged +$1.00 to make it spicy, but yet it was absolutely flavorless. I have tried many restaurants in bay area that offer paneer and vegetarian biryani that are much better. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant for vegetarian or paneer biryani
Olympus Caffe & Bakery
135 Castro St, Mountain View, CA 94041, United States
Doughy, raw pastry, undercooked, reheated, doesnt taste fresh, some random parts dry. Not flaky. Greasy, burnt edges & OVERPRICED. things taste STALE and OLD. Mushroom strudel would be better if it had more mushrooms(fresh everything would be nice) and if the pastry was cooked correctly and flaky and not raw on the inside.(AND LESS EXPENSIVE)Desserts arent any better, look upscale but are either way too sweet or underwhelming. Creme brulle cheesecake isnt so bad I like the fresh vanilla bean in there but crust is soft and not crunchy and flaky like traditional cheesecake. Its not the right consistency--a little too soft and no signature crunchy scorched sugar on top--its wet and soft.Entrees are bland and underwhelming, and overcooked. Salmon extremely expensive for being overcooked and not fresh tasting.Mint lemonade is nice. All in all tastes like over priced hyped cafeteria food, which is great if youre into that. They can do so much better for the prices theyre charging.Owners and Chefs....put some effort, buy local and fresh, dont penny pinch, dont freeze and dont overcook/undercook!Save your money and take a nice drive to another establishment.
Ikes Love & Sandwiches
1020 N Rengstorff Ave Suite EMountain, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
Just had the weirdest experience at this location. Safe to say I wont be going back... the older lady that took my order was rude and completely unhelpful. Not to mention didnt change her glove after shoving her hands in the tip jar to give me change for my sandwich. The servers are supposed to take their gloves off when handling money and put new ones on before making food. She kept one glove on the whole time and only replaced one??? When I first tried to place my order She kept saying they didnt have the sandwich I wanted because she couldnt find it in the system. No help at all. I had to point out to her that the name may have changed. Then I asked her if the Dutch crunch bread was vegan. All she said was I dont know. Didnt offer to ask anyone or anything. I literally had to Google it. I left feeling disgusted by the idea of her not changing her glove and couldnt bring myself to finish the sandwich. What a disappointment.

Paper Platez
2135 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
Our first time here tonight. I can confidently say Paper Platez is the best Mexican food truck we've tried in the Peninsula Bay Area so far!I got the three birria tacos, which were quite a good portion size, and delicious. If you've never had birria tacos before, they're one of my recent favorites. Basically, you get a deep fried taco accompanied by a pork sauce on the side to dip into. They're not the healthiest option around, but are truly delicious. You have the option to get one for $6, two for $12, or 3 for $15. Paper Platez's birria tacos are pretty large, so you are getting a good bang for your buck. Four hours later and I'm still feeling pretty full, so I would recommend getting three only if you have a big appetite. Otherwise, I would recommend sticking to two.For my girlfriend, we got a pork papusa and a chicken tamale. The papusa was good - nothing to call home about, but solid. I was excited about the fact the tamale came packaged in a Ziplock bag - authentic, right? ? - but it was disappointing. Fairly tasteless. The tamale came with a tomato based salsa on the side, which was also fairly basic & nothing special enough to save this dish.I like to try new places, but will definitely come back here again, and maybe try a super burrito or some of the regular street tacos next time.If you're looking for tasty, convenient Mexican food in the Peninsula Bay Area, try this spot out. The birria tacos are worth going a little out of your way for. Parking is super easy (we came at 8pm and there was probably 20+ open spots), food came out about 7-10 minutes after ordering, service was friendly and hospitable, and it's a cool looking truck, as you can see from the photos. If you're in the area & looking for a Mexican food truck, we definitely recommend this one!Best,Kyle
Las Adelitas
889 Leong Dr, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
First time at this place. Was at the nearby Walmart, searched for Chile Verde, and this place showed up under the former name (Greenland Market). After reading reviews I felt this was the spot for me on this day. Im glad I went with my instinct.Disclaimer, having only been here once I can only review what I had but I have high hopes for the other things after talking to someone who might be the boss.I had the Chile Verde plate and it was excellent. This is a standard dish I order at every place and use it to gauge whether I return or not. This place knocked it out of the park. Unlike most places that simply stew the pork, this place uses what must be their carnitas. It has that roasted flavor and the meat is succulent and super tender. The rice has good flavor, the salsa they provide has a kick, tortillas were tender and hot.I live about 45 minutes from this place but I will drive all the way here when I am not willing to compromise, and want great, not just good, Chile Verde.
