Essence Restaurant is located at Two Bunch Palms (a natural mineral spa & silent yoga/ therapy retreat.) The property offers natural hot springs; a place to unwind & heal ...away from the grind of the city. I am quite snobbish about where I dine; I really love Essence. I love the decor, the menu, the simplicity, the service, and the entertainment. The menu & dishes are highly suitable for vegans & vegetarians, and yet will not disappoint carnivores. One of the best restaurants Ive been to in & around Palm Desert.

This restaurant is deceptively large as there is plenty of seating towards the back of the restaurant so you should never have to wait too long.The staff here are very attentive and friendly and are pro-active in their service without feeling like theyre hovering all the time.I had the chicken and black bean sauce with rice and it was nice enough. I dont really rate the spring rolls but my vegetarian friend loved her dinner as they have very convincing meat alternatives.If youre in the area its worth a try if you fancy Chinese.

I took my sister in law here because she is gluten allergic. She found several great options and was thrilled to see gluten free bread and wraps. She had the chicken salad and loved it. I had the chicken bhan mi which was fine. I bought a small tuna salad to go which I did not care for at all. However, I do think I would return and try different options. They did have some amazing smoothies on the menu which are worth a try. The only reason I gave service 3 stars is because we ordered at one register, then she moved us to the second register. Same thing for others. The two working the registers talked over each other and one would put something in the bag and the second gal would repeat the same thing and then one had to take an item back out of the bag. Took a long time to get sandwiches. I think it is unusual enough and interesting enough to give it a try however.

So, today we were served by Fatima. If I give this service less than one star I would. I was served the day before by a professional gentleman who knew how to do his job properly.The customer service today from Fatima was shocking and I regret going here. We ordered 3 dragon fruit bowls and the portion sizes were smaller than what I imagine a child's size would be. She must have made one portion and split it across three. Please go to the other juice bar which is just around the corner. Better value for your money and better customer service.

You guys need to get it together. With the price of your drinks I think you're more than capable of hiring and scheduling more than 1 employee at the same time. Last time I checked it was illegal to have only one employee in a store by themselves at all times especially at night. This is a constant battle with all of your locations in the desert. It takes forever to get a drink. The drinks are never consistent. They're always understaffed. I just came to this location only to wait at the counter for 5 mins before the only employee that was working came out of the bathroom with a sourpuss miserable looking face. Walks up to the register. Doesn't acknowledge that I'm there doesn't say Hello doesn't smile just walks right up to take my order. I look at her and I say hi loudly and she gives me the rudest look like she can't believe I would say hi to her like that . How about you just do your job. It's really not that hard . You guys really need to get your act together. I come to your place at least two or three times a week. I don't deserve this treatment or service with the money I give to your business. Friday at 2:31 pm Dinah shore location So Managment can check to see which employee was working at the time if you even care.

Peaceful in the daytime.The staff and volunteers are extremely nice.I hope all animals are treated well at all times.I normally dont go to zoos only sanctuaries.Shout out to Christina the young lady who works in the refreshment stand thats near the camels and in between the goat petting area. Shes very nice and has really great customer service. We tried to tell Chad and David her bosses but we could not find them anywhere at the zoo throughout the time we were there from 1:00 p.m. to closing time. We even came back for the second evening light festival. Give Christina a raise.Extremely overcrowded in the evening.They should definitely have a capacity of how many people can come in. Or they should definitely have some kind of structure when people are taking pictures or people are waiting in line to take photos.It might even be a great idea to implement photographers as well as people being able to take their own pictures.The lantern festival is very pretty but I would never go again to the Palm springs location because the patrons really dont have any manners, (adults and children). People were just walking through when other people are trying to take pictures, not even saying excuse me which was very rude.Also for better pictures and lighting its probably a good idea to put lights on both sides of any area that has a festival lantern because if theres no lighting on the other side all pictures come out really dark. The only thing you can see is the lantern not really the people in the pictures.

Overall, it was a really nice experience at Katsuyama! We ordered a few lunch dishes like California roll, Kimchi roll, Katsu set, Edamame. All were prepared fresh and well. The dessert matcha mochi was good however the added chocolate sauce really took away from the matcha flavour and was not needed. I would somewhat recommend this restaurant to vegetarians (like myself), however you need to be a little flexible with the dishes you order. No veggie ramen options are present, unfortunately. Hopefully in the future!

We live locally and decided to try this little place on El Paseo by Revivals. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in with enthusiasim. The atmosphere was relaxed, the space was clean and cute. The menu itself had a point of view and is easy to read/order from. We started off with the corn dip, it was creamy with little sweet pops of corn. The chips are made in house and added a needed saltiness and crunch to the appetizer. For our entrees we got a Spicy Chicken sandwich and the Pambazo. The chicken sandwhich was drip juicy and paired well with their jalapeno aioli and textbook onion rings. Sadly, the bread for the Pambazo was a bit hard and difficult to eat even after pouring the red sauce over it and waiting a bit, though it looked beautiful. However, what was inside was amazing and i ended up eating all of what was inside. The slaw tasted fresh, but a bit salty, it did est well with the pambano however. After comment on the bread, they took the critic well and recovered by offering a free desert, i could not refuse and am glad i didnt. I chose their house made tres leche cake to go. It was well soaked and not too sweet. The cream was cloudlike, but firm and held well with the milk cake. I will be comming back for more. 5/5 for me, the reception of the critic and the recovery was more than enough to make up for the small bread mishap. Thank you for a great experience.

Great sandwiches and bowls. The baguette is made in-house daily. It is crispy and soft at the same time. You can also buy their baguettes to go and make your own sandwich at home.The restaurant also offers vegetarian dishes. The prices are on the lower side compared to many other sandwich/salad restaurants. The staff is courteous and prompt.

Awesome sandwiches and paninis!!! Very cool family staff, clean and friendly!!! This IS the lunch spot! I was over at store America with my wife for a quick organizing effort....4 hours later I was hungry and our truck was occupied...so off I went for a walk and cjs diner was closed and I thought I was screwed... NOT AT ALL! I googled food near me and the lunch spot came up I called, they answered, I went in and saw their menus and my mouth was watering. Ordered a #5 and a Ruben paint (pastrami). Got a big soda to share and some chips, used their restroom, love the sign in there btw...lol. food was ready quickly and when I got back to my wife we grubbed. Killer lunch food in palm desert on join drive. They have curbside pickup too! Look for the big red banner that says sandwiches! Ill be back for sure!
