Victory Caffe

I went here for breakfast, and it was delicious. We had the vegan breakfast burritos. The restaurant itself is really cute. Honestly a little hidden gem in Van Nuys. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Only downside is no public restroom but luckily we didn’t have to go.

My girlfriend and I went in at about 8 pm, there was a long line so we just ordered on those tablets they have on the walls and waited for our name. When our name was called, I went up and got our food, a different order was called for another customer. Someone from the food line handed it too me instead of the cashier that was on the register, the food line worker was double checking the name and food for that customer, obviously so the order isnt wrong. The customer asked why she wasnt given the food right away, the cashier with the name Ebony N, a short, chunky with pale skin and looks look a teenager said Their all Mexican, they dont speak English well so when you talk to them they just stare and act stupid.I literally looked to the customer and said They are double checking if its your name and ofder, so its not wrong.Me and my girlfriend start eating and over hear Ebony asking a foriegn exchange couple what their minimum wage is from where ever they are, what the ****?????????

King Of India

This is the worst Indian food I ever had.Its a combination of really bad food, gross and creepy environment, and bad service. The worst restaurant Ive ever been in LA. It deserves 5 negative stars.Ive eaten there for lunch at their buffet, I was with friends and couldnt walk out unfortunately.First the place is DIS-GUS-TING, seriously guys change this gross carpet.- It all start with the plates still having the cleaning water with food particles on them, you need to wash your plate first. Then the food is really really bad, bland, no taste at all.- the onion fritters must have been from the day before.- the chicken tikka masala was the worst !! just a bunch of dry pieces of chicken swimming in bland watery sauce with TONS of fluorescent orange color ! Seriously Ive never seen such bright color, totally artificial. Guys, cut down on the artificial colorant and use spices, salt and learn how to make a creamy sauce.- the tandoori Chicken was dry with no taste.- the rice had no taste, not even salty enough.- the veggies where edible but very far to be good.- even their Mango lasy is below average, its super sugary and taste artificial like a mix of corn syrup and artificial mango flavoring. The dessert was just rice pudding. There was just one remaining so my friends didnt had the chance to even try...The service is non existent (for the buffet), it will save you the tip though. If the food is the same for dinner, its a total rip-off especially with their prices !! Way WAY overpriced, even if the food was good, the restaurant is so gross that it would still be a bad idea to eat there. With so many good restaurant around (check Lucys, greek restaurant) I cant understand this place is still open.If you want a delicious Indian restaurant go to Bollywood on Ventura Blvd, they are less expensive, their food is delicious and they have lunch special.

We visited the establishment on a Sunday with a group of seven individuals. The seating system operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and we were fortunate to arrive before the peak dining period. Consequently, we were seated within a ten-minute timeframe. Although the indoor space is relatively compact, there is also an outdoor seating area available. Our beverage orders were promptly taken and delivered to our table swiftly. My wife particularly enjoyed the cafe de olla, which exhibited a delightful sweetness without requiring any additional condiments. The food preparation took a bit longer due to the size of our group, but the wait was certainly worthwhile.I personally opted for the avocado toast, which I found to be satisfactory. However, I believe it could benefit from the addition of an acidic or spicy element to counteract the richness of the avocado. The accompanying arugula salad provided a welcome acidic balance. My son chose the steak and eggs, and while the steak was cooked to his liking, it could have used a bit more seasoning. My brother decided to order two plates: the eggs florentine and the chorizo scramble. Both dishes were well-received and demonstrated excellent flavors. My wife and sister opted for the pancakes, one matcha and the other taro. Although I am not particularly fond of sweet dishes, I must admit that both pancakes were exceptionally delicious, striking the perfect balance of sweetness. The presentation of the pancakes was also aesthetically pleasing. In conclusion, I recommend this establishment as a worthwhile dining option.

The Pastors Grill

New spot I pass by here and there and stopped in one day. Tried the Al Pastor Bowl and my kid had a quesadilla. Both were excellent and flavorful. My teen said it's one of his favs as far as the quesadilla goes, I couldn't even get a picture before it was all gone! Everything was fresh even by a 10minutes drive home. The cashier was pleasant and friendly I forgot her name unfortunately but she is the one this review goes to as she was very knowledgeable in the menu and pick two fantastic options to try for the first time. She did rave about the Torta's but I'm not much for them. She let me sample the Homemade Agra's and the Chia Limon Pepino was THE absolute best in my opinion. Tried a cookie and it had the perfect combo of soft and chewy to crispy edge. Decent prices among other common restaurants. You can dine in if you want. It's very clean inside and cool from the outside heat. The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars is the parking is tough. Cash/Card/Tap payments accepted. Definitely recommend. Stopping by this new business.

Taqueria Juanitos

Wow! The burritos here are SO good, especially the breakfast burrito. Weve tried a lot of local places as we moved to SFV a year ago and this is our favorite so far.Tried:- Everything asada burrito - doesnt look special when you cut into a cross section but the flavors of the meat is so well done it carries the burrito. Only small amounts of cilantro and onion and avocado but it really celebrates the asada- Breakfast burrito with bacon - probably best breakfast burrito weve ever had. It has rice which is different than other places but everything is mixed together so well and flavorful- asada Torta - perfect ratio of bread vs. Meat-asada fries - great flavor, love the salsa, cheese and avocados on topWill be back for other dishes ?

Mama Donuts
16844 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, CA 91406, United States
Mama's Donuts knows how to do donuts...and sandwiches and boba and croissants (savory and plain) and coffee. It's rare these days to find a place that has it all: fair prices, a menu with both fun items like honeydew boba slushie as well as a wide variety of donut favorites. What's more, the owners are friendly and no matter how early in the morning it is, they have a smile for their customers. Service is quick, the restaurant has plenty seating, and it's clean and tidy. There's ample parking so you can get in and out painlessly as a huge bonus. Oh my gosh I almost forgot to mention their adorable special occasion donuts that are delightfully decorated. If you haven't tried them yet, please do yourself a favor and check them out.

Assam Indian Kitchen

This restaurant is such a gem! I absolutely enjoyed my experience. One of the owners, Sham, was there and he was so very kind and attentive to each customer. The food will speak for itself! The portion sizes were very generous. My absolute favorite was the paneer makhani. I loved the richness of the sauce. It had just the slightest hint of sweetness and was spiced so well. The mango curry with chicken was also very smooth and had the distinct sweetness of a mango with bright sauce. Both of these entrees paired very well with their garlic naan. Their garlic naan was great because the texture was perfect and I could taste the crispy garlic bits peppered throughout the naan through the flavors of each curry.Pro tips: ALL of their entrees come with a side of rice which is such a rare find. And look how fluffy the rice is! They also have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan options.Overall, I would highly recommend this place. You dont want to miss it. There is traditional music playing lightly inside. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and the booths are spaced well so it doesnt feel cramped at all. And of course, you must go for the sake of your taste buds!NOTE: When I mapped to this place from Google Maps, the app automatically directed me to 6322 NORTH Van Nuys Blvd, San Fernando Valley, CA 91401. Their address actually IS NOT on NORTH Van Nuys Blvd. It is JUST 6322 Van Nuys Blvd, San Fernando Valley, CA 91401. (The two addresses are only 1 mile apart, but definitely something to note especially if you are walking!)

Mr. Pizza
14851 Victory Blvd # H, Van Nuys, CA 91411, United States
Very basic food but that's not a bad thing. I'm very glad they were open late night which is why I came here. I ordered the potato skins, 6 piece mild wings and a small meat lovers pizza. I called and placed my order and the gentlemen who answered the phone was quick to accommodate my order. The potato skins were decent. They were very soft, hot and a little bit dry. The flavor was good but the tops of the potato's weren't evenly covered in cheese or bacon as you can see in the picture. The wings were also fresh and hot and I don't think you can go wrong with wings so they weren't bad. I did receive an oddly shaped wing which was reminiscent of a tumor but I still ate it because I was hungry. Finally the pizza. The crust was soft and a little bit flavorless. It did it's job at holding the ingredients, holding its shape and not getting soggy but ultimately had no flavor. For a price of $28. I do think it was a bit pricey and lacked quality ingredients/flavor. But for a late night meal it was good and better than fast food for the most part.
