Kung Fu Pho
7259 Boulder Ave, Highland, CA 92346, United States
We have been multiple times since this restaurant opened in Highland and have never been disappointed. Wonderful taste & fresh ingredients. Service is efficient and accommodating. It can get crowded, and there isnt a waiting area per se, but its worth the wait Great to have a high quality Vietnamese restaurant right here in East Highland!

Pho Ngon
2055 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404, United States
Foods are subpar. I order pork& egg rolls vermicelli which is bland. I also ordered spring rolls for take out. The sauce was cut-cornered so much it was just water-downed hoisin sauces, no peanuts! The veggies are mostly iceberg lettuce with no herbs detectable, which is not what Vietnamese food is about. They would t even serve water, but asked for $1 for a bottle of water instead. As soon as the waitress dropped the menu, 10 seconds later, she asked what I wanted. Then came back 20 seconds later to ask when I hadn't even flipped a page of the menu. So I couldn't ordered. Then she disappeared for over 10 minutes. I guess if you don't know good. Vietnamese foods, it's better than, say, McD's. But this is the worst Vietnamese foods I'd ever had. The chef looks asian, I don't k ow if she's Vietnamese or not because she just dropped food on my table without saying anything. I'd want to support minority business owner but I don't want to mislead people to think this is a good Vietnamese foods.
The Thai Chi Express
777 San Manuel Blvd S, Highland, CA 92346, United States
Gambling Addict Confucius say Engage in Thai Chi, see loose slotsInside San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, located at Tutus Food Court, Thai Chi Express offers quick casual Asian Fusion for casino goers. Ready made food sits in warming trays, with a la carte options, as well.Tutus Food Court has diners pay first, then show the receipt to the corresponding eatery. For $9.95 (less $1 for Club Serrano Classic members), you can get a 3 item combo. A few rotating items accompany the stalwarts like orange chicken, chicken wings etc. Start with choice of steamed rice, vegetable fried rice, vermicelli noodles, chow mein and/or steamed vegetables. From what Ive had, I really enjoy the fried chicken wings (thats a no brainer. Im a wingman, naturally), beef curry & pork spare ribs. The wings have a crispity crunchy breading over the juicy meat. The beef curry has spicy coconut milk with strips of beef. The tender, sweet glazed pork spare ribs are great, most especially the fatty bits. A few soups are on hand for those looking for some soup for the soul. I had the beef & vegetable soup and it was hearty. Chunks of beef which may have been too chunky, but the broth was well spiced & soothing.Thai Chi Express a la carte items include pad Thai, fried rice, ramen & udon, among others. I havent asked if the ramen is the more authentic stuff, and not the instant kind. Ill find out the next time Im there.Service has been okay. The cashiers seem speedy enough & the staff boxing up my selections have been pleasant. Seating available, with booths, tables & quick eat standing tables.Of the food choices at Tutus Food Court inside San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino (Thai Chi Express, La Tortilla Rellena, Oasis Burger & Grab & Go), Thai Chi Express appeals to me the most, both in value & taste. Portion are good to plentiful (depending how generous the staff is feeling that day) & the prices are about right, considering the venue. After having a filling lunch, Im once again ready to do battle with the horde of nickel slots that stand between me & cash money glory.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Southeast Asian Food To Go
209 E Highland Ave Ste A, San Bernardino, CA 92404, United States
I am all for more South East Asian food influence in the IE! Sidney and Alina greeted me on a sleepy Sunday afternoon. It was St. Patricks Day so Alina was drawing 4-leaf clovers on the dessert boxes. Scoped out the interior of brightly painted walls and super clean front of the house. Sidney mentioned the paper menu is more accurate than the screens so I went off that.Ordered my favs:(P) - dish included peanuts as a topping-(P) Nam khao tod (crispy fried red curry rice w/ sour pork sausage and herbs served with generous amount of lettuce for lettuce wrap style)-Pad kee mow (spicy flat noodle stir fry with mint leaves and choice of meat, we got beef; is really spicy; would order no spice next time)-(P) papaya salad (savory vegetable dish with spicy tangy salty sauce served with cabbage; ordered mild but was still on the hot side)-Bahn mi (served on fresh bread roll, topped with pickled shredded carrot and green papaya, inside had a generous spread of mayo, pate, and sliced cucumbers)-Mango sticky rice (served w/ savory coconut cream sauce)-Fried banana fritters (5 big pieces per box!)Really enjoyed the bahn mi. It had lots of good toppings like pate, fresh cucumber, fresh bread roll, and the crunchy shredded picked green papaya and carrot! I love fried banana too. Batter was just the right amount of thickness, coconutty sweetness, and super crispy.I would probably order all the spicy dishes no peppers (due to my bad acid reflux) since mild still packs a ton of heat. My least favorite is probably the nam khao tod as the recipe is different than what Ive had before. The addition of shredded ginger plus toasted black and white peppercorn is an interesting twist. I think it adds a great fresh, ginger flavor but is a bit overpowering for me.Will be back to try everything else on the menu - including any upcoming secret items! I plan to get through all the items very soon!
Pho Highland
7259 Boulder Ave A9, Highland, CA 92346, United States
First time being here seems gloomy due to the cloudy weather which makes it perfect for pho! The pho has good amount of noodle meat portions lesser than most Vietnamese restaurants. Taste is on the lighter side which seems good.
Manna Thai
4980 Watt Ave A, North Highlands, CA 95660, United States
If you havent been there, GO support small business and then tell your Family, Friends and Colleagues! I have known the owner Lai (Mama) since 1990 and she calls me Son, but my 5 Star rating for Manna Thai is well deserved. Im Taiwanese, English, and Irish and my first food choice is any type of Asian. So to say that Ive had plenty of Thai food over the years would be an understatement. The location is roomy, clean and well appointed. The smiles and guest service is humble and genuine. The food was delicious in every sense of the word. We had Thai Eggrolls, Angel Wings, Papaya Salad, Coconut Milk Soup with Pork, Mango Red Curry with Seafood, Honey Ribs, Pineapple Fried Rice, Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Teas. I also ordered some food to bring home for my Family that wasnt there. The quality of food and reasonable pricing seals the deal on the fifth star. And Prayers are free, even without a purchase!!!
