Pho Ba Co

For what it’s worth in the Irvine area, it is very good. I’ve been frequenting this restaurant since no other surrounding Vietnamese pho compares. Plus they serve COM TAM dishes which I love! They use garlic rice too.My boyfriend and I enjoy their EGG ROLLS and they can come with extra herbs and lettuce to complete each bite.I usually opt for their PHO DAC BIET. Always plentiful and never short on the variety of meats they place in their bowls. The boyfriend loves VERMICELLI noodles so their BUN TOM THIT NUONG CHA GIO is his favorite. We love their fish sauce too!Yes, it’s expensive but you’re paying for the convenience and less aggressive competition of Vietnamese restaurants in South OC. Their food is tasty and the community has kept them at this location for many years. I’ve been coming here since my undergrad days a decade ago and since my recent move back to Irvine, the quality and service still sustained. They’re also very good with their delivery service app partners. We order from DoorDash all the time for pick up!

Saiga Vietnamese Eatery
17805 Sky Park Cir Suite B, Irvine, CA 92614, United States
Okay, I feel so relaxed right now. Its been super hot outside around like 90 something degrees on average. I know the first people think of when they see a Vietnamese restaurant is pho. Theres so much more stuff to eat besides pho though.I noticed Saiga opened a restaurant in Orange and decided to check it out. Their first location was in Irvine in the Sky Park Circle area near where I usually got o get my haircut and that location was really good and I did try their pho and egg banh mis there. However, this location is a bit different. They dont have pho on their menu, but Im honestly okay with that cause there are so many pho places. The point is it was so hot today and the most relaxing thing right now is a refreshing drink and some garlic noodles. That plus eating on the beach is literally the most relaxing day.I ordered their garlic noodles with pork belly cause pork belly is nice and tender and they add plenty of garlic and its just relaxing. I also tried a tofu roll from another restaurant not too long ago which made me feel inclined to get their tofu banh mi. Their tofu banh mi is so crispy. I chose to get to without cilantro and jalapenos which is perfect for me.I also got some of their drinks cause its super super hot outside. Their lychee lemonade is more on the sweeter refreshing summery side and their lychee green tea is a bit less sweet and kinda reminds of the green tea bases for boba drinks. Im not sure which one I like more. I think it basically depends on my mood though.Their location here isnt super big, but definitely bigger than their Irvine location. Definitely grab a bite here and head to the beach. So bomb!

Pho Saigon Pearl

So excited to check out the Vietnamese Restaurant across from my new apartment in Irvine until I walked in the door and the manager approached me immediately, intimidatingly, with an angry look on his face. My crime was having a 12 lb. Maltipoo certified service dog. No smile, he was so rude. He insisted I show him my dog’s “paper” ESA cert or I’d have to wait outside in the hot sun for my order, but with the “paper” (so Asian) certificate I could sit inside (any training to tell him that anyone can get an ESA certificate cheap on the internet, or fake one?). Has this manager been trained to identify a proper certificate anyways? It’s only ignorant harassment of customers by this chain. All the staff looked terrified of this oppressive, egocentric manager. And this restaurant was totally empty at 5:30, certain this is because of the management.Do the owners of Pho Saigon Pearl care to reply with an apology, or should we expect this petty, illegal abuse when visiting a Pho Saigon Pearl restaurant? This is California and not Vietnam, California laws matter here, mafia managers can’t rule with impunity. As of the date of this posting, neither the manager nor any on duty staff would provide their names (who trusts their food to staff that won’t give their names?). PLEASE don’t support this VN chain! If they treat customers like this, imagine how they treat their employees. Btw I left, went to Kickin Crab next store, ordered, left and no one asked me for a certificate for my Maltipoo.I hope this post will elicit a publicly stated policy change from Pho Saigon Pearl on this issue and an understanding of respect for the customers that walk through their doors going forward.

Very noisy place. Quite fancy “fusion” Vietnamese restaurant. Food was just ok.

Did a stop by here for lunch. For once I didnt go for the Pho but some substance and did a rice dish. I was pleased with the grilled pork with lemon grass seasoning. My friend did the Pho and it was alright when I sampled it. For the mile(s) to drive from the Spectrum to another nearest Vietnamese restaurant, I would say this is the better one to do a meal. The owners are wonderful and I felt bad that I didnt get to stop by before leaving California as they said to do so before I left. My business schedule prevented me so I finally got around to making this review and I want to say, definitely next time! I will cross-country from Nebraska back again soon as I have many businesses I can make for scheduling.

Ehhhhhh. My girlfriend was craving pho and spring rolls so I decided why not give this place a shot since it is so close to us. Ive gone here prior and only had some spring rolls (which I didnt like) but thought the place deserved another chance. We came here on Saturday evening to find an almost empty restaurant, which Im assuming most people were going to Mokkoji Shabu Shabu next door. We got seated immediately. Once our server returned my girlfriend order #24 Pho Tai Nam Sach (Large), Goi Cuon (spring rolls), and I ordered the Com Bo Luc Lac. We also got a pot of hot tea.Our food came out very fast and I couldnt complain since we were hungry. My girlfriend said for her pho the broth tasted good, but shes had better. The spring rolls were OK. The hot tea was good.My food:- Com Bo Luc Lac: The meat was tender and tasty, as well as the onions. I wasnt a fan of the orange rice that came with it, which had the scent of coconut but tasted nothing like it. I would have preferred regular white rice. The salad that accompanied it was very dry, with a spritz of whatever dressing they put on it. Normally this dish at other restaurants would come with a soup on the side and a bowl of salt/pepper with a lemon, but this one didnt.Service was a little dry. No one came to check on us and the server just stared at us at times.Parking is plentiful, there are even charging spots super close. A motorcycle parking area is right by there as well, barricaded for safety.Good food is worth traveling far for, and I recommend making the trek to Westminster for better pho.

Entering into the restaurant the first thing you are greeted with is a large collage and other large wall art. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and casual playing music in the background that doesn't interfere with the dining experience. What I ordered was the pad Thai with chicken. The meal can be described with two words, sweet and simple. The chicken was cooked well though it was a little bit dry on its own, but when eaten together with the noodles, balanced the meal together, making it nice to eat. The flavour of the noodles was sweet and tangy with a hint of lemon. in addition, I was given red Chili sauce on the side and when mixed into the meal itself brought out the flavours of the chicken pad Thai and made it all the better. My complaint is that the peanuts were not poured with care but were poured into the side corner where I had to mix them in. Other than that I recommend this place. recommend it is a great place to order takeout as from enter to exit. It only took me five minutes to get my food.

Definitely, one of the best Vietnamese Restaurants in Irvine . . . without having to make the trek up to Little Saigon/Westminster . . . great variety of dishes, and good quality, as well. Service is also prompt, and we always enjoy the nice outdoor patio area, too.

Little Sister
896 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine, CA 92618, United States
Little Sister is a Vietnamese restaurant recently opened in Irvine Spectrum. We got one appetizer and one main course. Of course this was my first Vietnamese food experience, so my experience on Little Sister food may not be accurate. The appetizer was a little bit cold and the beef did not meet expectations of having a juicy meat rolled in a rice roll. The sauce and the side vegetables were tasty, though. About the main course, it was a delicious, juicy, and nutritious meal, and I totally recommend their pork chop!I am not giving a five-star review only because of the moment when we checked out and I saw the check where they automatically charged everyone 20% for the service as their tip. If it was up to me, I would have changed and decreased the tip amount because of our waitress’s misbehavior when she brought an extra food we did not order and she seemed angry with us because of that! Also, I would expect a quicker service from them since I had my food earliest than my friends, and when I was done with my food, ten minutes later, they brought the other people’s food. I would have tipped them with smaller amount because of their lower than normal service.

Came down from the Bay Area to bring our new freshman to UC Irvine and stumbled upon this wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. Really delicious and expertly prepared dishes coupled with friendly and attentive service made our meal truly memorable. We’ll be back in October for parents weekend and for sure we’ll become regulars over the next four years. The owner Chris, personally greeted us when we arrived and it was nice to see so many smiling faces among the employees and the diners. This place is the Ferrari of Vietnamese food in Irvine!
