Rude and arrogant service - I ordered spices from their online store. Unfortunately the quantities I received were not what I had ordered (3 bottles of Chili Spices when I ordered only one). I called this store which is 25 miles away to ask about their return policy and explained politely the situation. Surprisingly the shop person did not know the policy and had to call corporate headquarters. 10 minutes later, I received a call back and was told that if I returned the items to a store, all I could expect was a store credit or exchange. I said fine and told her that it would take me 30 minutes to get to the location but that I expected to arrive before their 3pm closing time. On the way, I experienced a thunderstorm. Realizing that I may not make the 3pm time, I called to alert them of the situation. The shop person responded in a haughty manner reminiscent of a 19th century schoolmarm indicating that if I did not arrive by 3pm, they would not let me in. I was surprised by this doctrinarian response considering that I was trying to solve an error caused by the company, that I had to drive 50 miles round-trip in the pouring rain, and that I was delayed by 10 minutes in my departure because the shop person did not know the return policy. Adding insult to injury, she added with all the arrogance she could muster that I could come back the following day when they opened at 10am. I arrived exactly at 3:03pm and the door was closed. The shop persons could see me outside as they tended to other customers but they refused to open the door. This sort of rigidity in a customer service person is the death knell for any business. It will a long time before I go back to this location.

My partner and I did not feel overly welcomed in the space, while it seemed that other customers were attended to really well. We had to wait an inappropriate amount of time (almost 30 min) before we were even acknowledged by the wait staff after being seated. It took us asking 4 people (truly) before water even came to the table, whereas the couple sitting next to us received their water immediately. The tables near us also had their servers checking in on them frequently, whereas we only received interactions when our food was being delivered. We also asked for the check twice before it finally came, whereas our same server asked the couple next to us if they wanted their check and brought it out, immediately. We sat down well before that table (almost 30 min) and they received their drinks before us.As far as the food goes, I ordered the burger medium-rare, and it was tasty. My partner ordered a Hot Toddy and it was lukewarm and unpleasant. His lobster roll also had shell fragments and the dish as a whole lacked a lot of flavor (it was overpriced for the quality of the dish). The dessert was fine.Overall, the atmosphere was pretty, however we will not be back. We did not like the feeling that we were potentially being treated differently or forgotten about.

Uh.... What just happened ???I went into the store to order a Sandwich I asked one simple question, which was where on the menu board were the Sandwich choices (2nd time there). Just then I guess another person stormed into the store walking very fast and said something I didnt catch. All of the sudden within 5 seconds I turned around and said ok Im ready to order and the person working there was taking the order of the person who stormed into the store. So Im guessing they were way more important to the business than I was. Must have been the skin color contrast between the two customers. Anyway I called the store and complained about what happened but they didnt seem too apologetic or concerned. So I guess I will never go here again. Sad ☹️
