Viet Phomula

I just had dinner here and the broth is very authentic! There were no open tables at Saigon Ave across and we decided to try out Pho House 99 and we are glad we did!My husband had the Special Pho #1 and was surprised at the bonus shortrib that came with the order! There was a lot of meat for the price! My hubs commented that the broth is more flavorful than at Saigon Ave, and he should know better because he's a half bred Vietnamese but one who knows his pho!I had the kimchi pho with seafood and it was good but very spicy! The seafood portion was generous; there was even a piece of crab although I didn't care for it... too much work to break the meat out of the shell! If you like spicy, you will enjoy this!We spoke with Jeff, our server and probably the owner, who told us that they have 2 other pho joints in Garden Grove in OC. Anyone in LA will know that OC is home to the Vietnamese and therefore food there will be as authentic as it gets!I am glad we found this little pho gem in Monrovia! It will definitely be our go to for pho whenever we get the cravings! Not sure why Saigon Ave (competing pho place across the street) appears more popular ... perhaps its the ambience? Think if they replaced their many white LED lightbulbs with yellow lightbulbs instead, it will look more cozy, warm and inviting.

If your a fan of boba drinks you should definitely give this place a shot! Ive already been here way too many times since they opened, its honestly kind of sad.So far weve tried their classic milk tea, brown sugar milk drink, and a few of their fruit teas and all of them were amazing. You can actually taste the tea in their tea drinks unlike other places where it tastes mostly like sugar/syrup. We do get the tea drinks half sweet but thats mostly a matter of preference. The brown sugar milk drink (I dont know any of the actual drink names) is especially good. The milk they use tastes like the expensive Strauss milk from Sprouts and goes really well with the brown sugar syrup and boba. The boba is nice and chewy and not overcooked, the pudding is pretty standard but good, and the agar boba Im actually quite a fan of though I know some people dont care for the texture.Overall this is an amazing boba spot, and I really hope people give it a chance because I think this is their only location and its just as good as (if not better) than some of the other (also very good) boba chains nearby.

Noodle St
120 W Foothill Blvd, Monrovia, CA 91016, United States
This is the best Noodle House Ive EVER had. Period.Growing up in the LA area, Ive had my fair share of noodles. From Korean BBQ, to Thai Noodle Curry, and even Ramen (yes, top Ramen too). All experiences have been give or take, with some establishments valuing oversaturated spices over the foods actual flavor. This is NOT the case at Noodle Street, no sir: the professionals behind the counter handcraft their noodles and assortments to visual and culinary perfection. Our meal consisted of the Signature Beef Noodle Bowl, 4 Pork Dumpling, 4 Beef Wrapped Rolls, and a slow-cooked beef and rice entre. From the first bite onward, our taste buds danced in a euphoric bliss of flavor and contemplation. How did they do this!? We asked eachother. The flat/thin noodle seasonings perfectly match the natural, succulent juices of the beefs natural aroma. Moreover, dipping the beef wraps into the noodles broth heightens the light, yet crunchy breading of the wraps already savory flavor. The meats themselves were so well tenderized and succulent, among all 4 dishes, that each slice essentially melts right in your mouth.I cant recommend Noodle St. Monrovia enough; if I could give this establishment 6 stars I would. And if you get Adam, youll be in good hands: hes a very gracious and hospitable server, who made the entire evening one to remember.6/5 Stars ??????; please check this place out! Youll never look at noodles the same way again. ?-J.

Amazing Home Style Two Chew Food. I believe the Owners are Two Chew from Vietnam.Server was the younger dude with glasses, very professional and thoughtful in explaining my options.Restaurant was very clean. Strip mall setting but once you walk inside, the interior decor felt like being in Europe or inside an IKEA.Restroom was super clean and nice.I thought it sucked that CNN was on their TVs, lol.My Food came out rather quickly which is always good. Food was Fresh and Delicious.I went with their Specialty Dish which was the House Noodle with Thin Egg Noodles. I got it Dry Noodle Style with Soup on the side. Its perfect with the Green Chili & Chew Chow Sauce Chili Condiments already on the tables.I also went with the Chew Chow Pancake which was pretty good. Id normally have it with Rice but, am currently watching my carb intake.I rounded out My Dinner some Plum+Soda (7up & Plum) which is a cool typical Vietnamese funky drink usually served at Vietnamese Coffee Shops. It got REALLY busy and packed as I was ending my meal so the Lady ended up serving me at the end, as the guy who originally Served me was tending to all the different tables of Families and Seniors. All Good. Totally sweet lady.TIP THEM WELL, because they do tend to customers as they should. All in all, great delicious quality food & good customer service, Im definitely coming back real soon to try the rest of their amazing menu.

I don't understand how can your staff attitude/ service be so horrible. It's like their life is not going well and they need to take it out onto the customers.I came in to grocery shop with my dad, he was paying at the cashier and asked me to go buy some lottery tickets. I went to the lottery ticket counter, the cashier there was chitchatting with other cashiers. I wait for a few minutes, and one cashier came to me and started speaking Chinese to me. I said Idk… She took my cash and went over to a machine, she put the money into the machine and left. Meanwhile she kept accusing me of something. I said: dont talk to me like that. She started screaming something at me in Chinese.I ended up having to figure out how to use the machine myself because she put my money into the machine and just left.On my way out, she was standing right by the door. I told her: you are not supposed to treat people like that. Thats not nice. She started screaming with a fist, saying: She's busy! She can't help you! It's faster! It's faster! You dont listen! It's faster! This is literally so ridiculous.
