Clean and bright Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Redwood City next to Caltrain. I always get the fresh spring rolls (they come with perfect dipping sauce) and pho.

A good Vietnamese restaurant in Redwood City downtown. We ordered crepe and fried rice and both were very good with respect to taste and pricing.

Employees wore masks, which as an Immunocompromised customer, I appreciate it. They have a vast variety of bagel flavors including chocolate chip.I got an everything bagel toasted with lox. It was actually really good — and I mean NY bagel good. I think it's the best bagel I've had in California. Was impressed.I knocked off a star because the coffee is like 7-11 coffee where customers fill their cups themselves and it had been sitting out so it was lukewarm. I did like that they had different flavors like French vanilla and hazelnut. No stevia though.Would definitely return for the bagels. They're the real deal.Ample parking in the lot.

Updated: my suspicions were correct, the Haus Benedict was just wonderful! Great addition of avo and meat to the crunchy bacon and hashbrowns tasty. Far better than the other Benedict. Their OJ was better than what I make at home from our oranges. Great value, good food, friendly attentive service. Will definitely be back or order more from this place.Original review: To their credit the apple fritter was great and poached eggs skillfully executed, the eggs whites were fluffy and yolk just the right amount of runny for a Benedict. I didnt care for the canadian ham circles and next time will go for smoked instead. Ordering from UberEats was confusing, Ill tell you why: Picture and text shows with hash browns, then asks to add a side of fries or balsamic greens. I figured why get fries if I already have hash brown potatoes? So picked greens. When it arrived, I realize this was a semantics and typo problem. No hash browns, just the salad. This should be fixed. Dont call hash browns french fries. State you need to pick the salad OR hashbrowns. I love hashbrowns. I didnt really need a vinegary salad with breakfast. Oh well. Better luck next time. Eggs were warm but the rest was cold when it got here 15 mins later. Cant blame the restaurant for that. I tipped my delivery guy generously anyway. They need the money. I will be back in person and hope to give five stars next time. Please correct the menu issues with UberEats.
Green Leaf Bistro
604 Fifth Ave A, Redwood City, CA 94063, United States
Green Leaf Bistros food is amazing. Super flavorful, fresh, and no MSG! For someone who has food allergies, sensitivities, or is vegan, this is a dream come true as they have options for everything, and clearly label what is what. (Mine are milk, egg, and wheat) Even their chicken karaage is gluten free...I can have fried chicken again! :D I also have carb dietary restrictions, finally, a place to easily eat keto and paleo! They have large portions, and everything is customizable which I love. The online ordering was super easy. You choose your base (rice, greens etc,) protein, toppings (they have 11 total for the works), sides, and super yummy sauces.I ended up ordering half basil beef, half braised pork belly, roasted veggies, on a bed of spinach and arugula, with pickled carrots, mint, basil, roasted corn, cucumber, peanuts and shallots, and added avocado, sautéed mushrooms and Kimchee with their walnut vinaigrette sauce. What an explosion of flavor...Sooo good!I thought it was too huge but ended up eating practically the whole thing. I cant wait to try another combo, the options are endless!Apparently their tofu is made fresh from a San Jose mom and pops so they support other local businesses. Great philosophy, and so much heart. They also do catering which is a nice option for large families and reduces the need for the plastic trays, and lets people choose what they want as they go.My mouth is watering for the next delicious experience. I think Ill try their mamas sticky rice, when I asked about it, is like Chinese no mai fan. Yum!!! Asian fusion comfort food at its best :) cant wait to go back!
Redwood Bistro
711 El Camino Real, Redwood City, CA 94063, United States
Not a Vietnamese restaurant! The menu is strictly made up of Chinese dishes. It must have changed hands or something. I was disappointed because I wanted Vietnamese. I walked out so can’t vouch for the food.
Yokohama
2050 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063, United States
My daughter and I were in Redwood City visiting a relative at Kaiser. We were hungry for lunch. Where to for lunch, Yokohama or Mays Vietnamese Cuisine? Both restaurants are on Broadway. As a matter fact, there are several restaurants on Broadway, which means plenty of choices. We decided on Yokohama. I havent had Japanese food in a good while. First time here, so I did not know what to expect. Perusing the menu, it didnt take me long to decide what I wanted - Vegetables, Options A (vegetables tempura, agedashi tofu [3 pcs], wakame). This item was a bento box lunch, which included miso soup, gyoza, salad with miso dressing and rice. The other item I ordered was an eight piece of California Special sushi roll (real crab and avocado). Beverage was an Arnold Palmer, which was a change from a hot cup of green tea.My daughter had goo goo ga ga and miso soup. I chuckled at the name of her dish because it sounded like baby talk. It wasnt baby size sushi roll. They certainly looked delicious.Needless to say, I ordered too much food. My eyes got bigger than my stomach. I could not finish my lunch. Leftover veggie tempura! I enjoyed my lunch.Service was wonderful and the ambiance quite nice. The lunch crowd came in just before we left. That told me the food must be very good.
Quickly

Where do I start? This is by far the worst that I have EVER been treated, worst service, worst drinks, worst everything. Definitely wont be coming back. First gave me the wrong drink, and I just let it go and asked for a new one. But when they started giving my daughter dirty looks and handed me the drink back I realized that they had put a ton of bobba when I had asked for none. When I asked who was in charge, they told me that nobody was. One of the girls seemed under an influence of some sort. She refused to give me her name but I thought I heard jocelyn from a coworker which was also under an influence. He had earrings and was on his phone the whole time. I hope you hire more responsible people next time around. Another thing, you should consider a deep clean every once in a while, my daughter found a fruit fly in her drink. Another reason we wont be coming back.
