Definitely one of my favorite spots in Little Saigon. They have the largest noodle selection in ANY of the Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant Ive ever been to. Seriously, the noodle selection in infinite over 300+ options. I highly recommend the Spicy Yellow Noodle soup, Beef Pho, or the Seafood Yellow Noodle Stir fry! A very authentic spot run by a sweet family. Highly recommend this Vietnamese restaurant in San Diego.

The beef they serve is not beef. It is DOG/Horse MEAT SOME TIMES IT IS BEEF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BUT I HAVE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY AND THEIR SISTER COMPANIES I HAVE A DNA ANALYSIS FROM THEIR RESTAURANT AND IT CAME BACK ONE DAY AS DOG DNA 2 WEEKS LATER I WENT BACK AND IT CAME BACK AS HORSE DNA IF YOU GO THERE AND YOU ORDER BEEF AND BROCCOLI OR ANYTHING WITH BEEF YOU WILL NOTICED AT TIMES THEIR BEEF TASTE DIFFERENT EVEN LOOKS DIFFERENT HAVE A SIMILAR LOOK TO BEEF IMMEDIATELY AFTER TASTING YOULL KNOW IT IS NOT THE SAME THEY WILL MIX IT WITH BEEF GRAVY SAUCE I CAME TO THIS RESTAURANT A FEW TIMES AND LOVED THE FOOD ONE DAY THEIR BEEF AND BROCCOLI AND PHO BEEF SOUP TASTED COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AS USUAL SO I DID NOT EAT IT BUT BECAUSE THE FIRST TIME I CAME THERE IT WAS SO GOOD I FIGURED MAYBE THEIR BEEF THAT THEY COOKED WRONG OR HAD A DIFFERENT INGREDIENT I WENT BACK THE NEXT WEEK AND ORDERED THE SAME EXACT THING I NOTICED THE BEEF TEXTURE HAD A LOT OF FAT STRINGY FAT BUT THE TASTE WAS DIFFERENT AGAIN I PAID AGAIN BUT THIS TIME I COMPLAIN IT ASKING HOW COME THEIR FOOD TASTES SO DIFFERENT EVERY TIME The manager did not understand so he asked one of his employees to translate once when they translated. For some reason they began arguing with each other. The employee that spoken English was Vietnamese. That employee was upset because I guess his manager was saying something bad in his language. So the manager said he was give me a refund but do not come back. When he asked me not to come back I was upset. I noticed the other employee was upset as well. The employee made a comment saying something about dog meat. Another guest that speaks Vietnamese stands up and said you are feeding us dog meat I could not believe what I was hearing so I took a sample of the food in a to-go box. The manager was persisting not for me to take it because I did not pay for it. So I paid for it. I took it to a local laboratory here in San Diego and the meat in the beef and broccoli came back as dog meat. The meat and the soup came back as horse meat I notified the authorities. The authorities are not doing anything about it saying that the Laboratory I took the meat to could have made a mistake or I could have made up these documents. I asked the police detector to investigate and see that the laboratory is a human society laboratory instead. It is now been 30 days and I have not got any phone call back finding out. This is very popular in San Diego with Vietnamese people be careful of what you eat

Ph Ban Mai Restaurant

There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in San Diego and the quality can vary, but this one is solid. Despite a wide variety of menu items, the food is consistently good. Typical of most Vietnamese restaurants, service is not the best. Its in a big shopping complex so parking is relatively easy. If youre looking for good Vietnamese food, this would be one of my first choices.

I live around the corner from this place and its my go to for quick, fast and yummy Vietnamese food.My honey always gets a big bowl of pho and I always get a broken rice dish. Their spring rolls are delicious. their egg rolls are crispy and fabulous, and the service is always fast and on point. If you have never been here before, I highly recommend you check this place out and if you have been to other Pho Ca Dao restaurants, I can honestly say this is the best one in San Diego County.....much better than the rest.

Hoi Hu Restaurant

This is the best central Vietnamese restaurant in Southern California. Hands down. If you were in Hue or Da Nang in Vietnam, youd have to go to 5 or 6 restaurants to find all the food prepared here. Not only is the selection amazing, the food itself is amazing and authentic.I remember when Hoai Hue was take away only and just down the street in a much smaller location. They moved here in 2009 or 2010. Ive been a customer the whole time. I make it a point to eat here whenever I can and cant recommend it enough.Banh beo, mi quang, bun bo, or whatever you get, itll be amazing.

Ph Ca Dao Restaurant

In my opinion, Pho Ca Dao is one of the busiest pho places in the Mira Mesa area. Whenever I come to eat here, it is packed with people inside. They sell pho, rice combinations, sandwiches, eggrolls, spring rolls, and drinks/desserts like boba and ice coffee. The food is affordable and $10 can get you a decent meal. Out of all the pho places in San Diego (and even Orange County), I go to this one the most.I visited here on July 20, 2017 at around 20:00 with 2 of my friends after one of them came back hungry from comic-con. He was craving for rice and this place hits the spot. Despite it being busy, parking was not hard to find. As we walked in, the host asked how many (3 of us) and we were immediately seated. Then, we were served with water and menus. I decided to get the number 1 order of the standard Large bowl of pho (I think it was $7.10). I do not know exactly what my friends ordered, but I can tell they were happy. Our food came out in about 5 minutes. My friend ordered 6 egg rolls so we each got 2. I liked it as it was very crunchy, fresh, and tasty. The lettuce was fresh. The sauce was good. After another 5 minutes, my pho and my friends orders came out. I liked my pho. The pho noodles were great, the meat is okay though. Nothing to complain though, but for some of us picky eater in food, the meat is going to be average. I dd not mix my pho with the bean sprouts, basil/mint or lime until I only had the broth left. It was fresh. I did not use oyster or the spicy sauce this time so I can taste the broth. The broth is good, but has a small msg taste (typical of most Pho restaurants), but it is not that strong. After eating the main food, about half of my bowl is covered in broth (also typical of most Pho restaurants). My friends rice dish was good. My other friends pho bowl was good except that it was a bit greasy, but his food is suppose to be that way. He enjoyed it though, but he rather have mine over his though. But overall, my friends and I liked the food. The service was great. The person who welcomed us was patient and smiled when my friend custom ordered his rice dish with extra meatloaf and other food. The server had to repeat our order, which was appreciated of him. They were attentive with our water cups too. I think they came back 3 to 4 times to fill our water cups. Also, when my friend got his food order, he asked for some extra tomato and the person came back with it.I just thought I also mention how clean the place is. The restrooms are nice and clean. Their waiting area is roomy and I like the layout of this restaurant.TL;DR: One of the greatest pho and Vietnamese food at an affordable price with great service in Mira Mesa. Still will come back to eat here.

Pho Ca Dao Vietnamese Kitchen

Idk why this place is below a 4. I had the best experience here. Service was top notch, food tasted pretty damn good, atmosphere was welcoming. Great place to go to for Pho and delicious Vietnamese dishes. We had the grilled salmon spring rolls, they were to die for! I was surprised cause this is the first Pho restaurant thats westernized that Ive tried in San Diego so I expected the pho broth to be not great but I was wrong. Broth was spot on and absolutely perfect. They have a patio so you can bring your dogs so well definitely be coming back. ?

The chicken didn’t have much flavor. The egg rolls were bland. It was okay. Nothing to rave over. I can’t say I won’t come back to try something else. The portions are a nice size. I feel like the Vermicelli Chicken & Egg Roll bowl could have more cucumbers. Only a tiny amount and sliced extremely thin. I feel like I only got the peel. No cucumber meat. There was no cilantro or mint or basil offered either. That’s a staple at Vietnamese restaurants. It was a chilly evening and the AC was going. I could hear other tables say they were cold too. Clean tables. I would see them spray down each one as tables changed out. Staff was okay. They don’t interact much.
