Double Bamboo has got to be one of the quaintest Vietnamese/Thai restaurants in OC. The family that runs it works very hard to keep all the classics on the menu. My picky family members always find something they enjoy. Classic No Questions Asked Pho. Wonderful fried rice, appetizers, probably the best Strawberry Smoothie in OC. Recently this restaurant was vandalized while the owners were visiting their family in Asia. Windows were broken into, chairs tables smashed. I have no idea why someone would do this. Please send good vibes their way. If they are able to open again, please send them your business!

If I could give this place a negative review, I would. But people need to know that this place is not sanitary. I received a steak dice dish that didnt taste too bad (though overpriced), but I found two pieces of short, straight black hair in it. I decided that I would just eat around it instead of asking them to make more, but when I told them at the cash register and showed them the hairs, the two ladies working there said their hair was too long for it to be theirs, when it actually did fit the description, and they didnt offer a discount. Meanwhile my hair is long and very curly, and the people I was with had had short pink hair and short light brown hair. Clearly it was not ours. They said they had cameras to prove that it wasnt theirs, but there were no cameras in the dining area that I could find, let alone in the area where wed eaten. They completely denied being careless. So Im writing this review to warn everyone to not eat here unless theyre okay with unsanitary practices. I only paid because they clearly needed the money.

Fairly new restaurant. Clean and pleasant place. Service is good. Staff is friendly. The restaurant is on the small side. We ordered a Bun and a Pho dish. Food here is good. Not anything special, but good. Has a little more choices than the common VM restaurant but nothing you cant find at another Vietnamese restaurant. Cost for eating out is expensive, no matter how low. Cost here is as expected, not outrageous. Portions are a good size. Some truly fusion dishes would make it stand out.

This was my second time buying from this place and I regret my decision. ? First time their banh mi was mediocre, It wasn't that good. I decided to buy it a second time to see if they could redeem themselves, but I guess I thought wrong.I ordered 4 banh mi; one of them is that “coal” bread or that black colored bread. Well that bread has a weird taste to it. I can't describe it, it probably has to be something with the “coal” or the coloring they put into it. How do I put this; I had already ate half of a sandwich my sister couldn't finish and I thought it was pretty good (it was a meat type of banh mi) but I wasn't full yet to I cut another half. I took the carrots and daikon out because I was going to reheat it. As I was waiting at the table, watching YouTube, I see this thing crawl out of the carrots and daikon. It was a small bug. ? I already ate half of a banh mi from them. My stomach turned from seeing that thing come out of the food I was supposed to be eating.It might've just been that one banh mi, but I can't risk something like that. A bug in my banh mi. My dad already ate a full banh mi with all it's condiments in it, specifically the carrots and daikon.

I order delivery from here often and it’s fricking delicious. An awesome introduction to bahn xeo and Vietnamese food besides pho in general. I’m also not vegan but the vegan bahn xeo is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. So much flavor and veggies and the bahn xeo is the best delivery system for veggies! I would love to see the menu expand occasionally to see what the bahn xeo boys can do. Also a great location for this type of restaurant, at rodeo 39.

This place is really great. A nice place to come eat and drink while listening to some karaoke music. I really enjoyed the cocktail drinks here. The first cocktail was good. The second watermelon cocktail was good as well. The most tasty one was the margarita one victoria made. It was made with ginger. It had mango or pineapple flavor but not exactly sure if both flavors. I am really enjoying these cocktail drinks here. It would have been nicer to stay longer here to enjoy the night but I could not. I appreciate the kind service here. Thank you.
