P.F. Changs
800 The, Shops At Mission Viejo, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, United States
We stopped in on a whim. Entering The Shops of Mission Viejo Mall via the food court entrance, we were impressed with the design and decoration of the place. I had heard of P.F. Changs but have always been a bit leery of a Chinese restaurant franchise business model, so this was our first experience.First off, I must admit. I am very biased going into any Asian restaurant. I cook Asian at home. Its my favorite form of cooking and my two steel woks are almost 40 years old. That being said, the very first thing that I noticed in the menu was the total lack of any pork dishes. What? Pork is THE meat of choice for the Chinese, for thousands of years. Historians believe they were the first culture to domesticate wild boars around 10,000 years ago into the modern pig. Pork is a huge staple of the Chinese diet with many famous dishes based upon it; Sweet & Sour Pork, Moo Shoo Pork, Pork Fried Rice, etc. At PF Changs, Nada. How can you call yourself an Asian/Chinese restaurant with this huge omission? The service was good, the meals were tasty but the portions were on the small side, the bill was high. I noticed the restaurant was pretty full but I came away with the feeling that you ate there, not for the food, but as a status symbol; sorta like owing a pair of $300 Nikes, when a $60 pair is just as good. Its a name dropper restaurant; We ate at P.F. Changs last night! Thanks, but no thanks. We will stick to the independent family owned Chinese restaurants where they are more reasonably priced, have much larger portions, and have larger menu choices, especially pork.
Panda Express

This location decided with close an hour early with the only notice being a scribbled note on the door. You do realize your customers have to get to your business before seeing this right? There is even a thing called exceptional hours on the Maps app for this exact reason. ?What a joke!Tbh just close this location down or get someone who knows how to run a restaurant. The last string of reviews are dismal, but accurate to say the least.
Panda Express
27000 Crown Valley Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, United States
Today I had lunch at this Panda Express. The wait in line was reasonable but if they had a second person getting the food I think the service would have been better. I didnt see the mushroom chicken as an option because there was no name placard but they did have a fresh batch coming out when I ordered it. My only feedback for this specific location would be that the broccoli in the beef and broccoli didnt seem very good. I did get the veggie side and the broccoli in there was so much better and fresher. I spit out some of the broccoli pieces from the beef and broccoli. My complaint to the company would be that the veggie side is only cabbage and broccoli. I think they could offer some additional vegetables to make this vegetable side more desirable and a really viable option. My other complaint would be that there really arent many healthy options at this restaurant. Im currently doing weight watchers and my lunch was still fairly high in calories and I chose their lowest fat meat options. I think my experience at this location was good enough to eat here again. I like the portion sizes I saw given to other customers but of course, I thought my serving looked a little smaller.
Zenko Sushi
28892 Marguerite Pkwy, Mission Viejo, CA 92692, United States
I dont remember if I went to a sushi place with all you can eat. I dont know why I accepted the idea and went for it. I went with some young people and followed their recommendations since they were here before. I love spicy tuna and that is it. Sure I try all the other ones, but I know a good spicy tuna. Food arrived and it was a mountain of sushi. We had a lot of people but it was too much. Flavor profiles and looks were similar. Maybe little stickers identifying what is what would help. For what it is, its great. Not my cup of tea. Service was fine. One two servers running around and working overtime. Hard to waive them down for fresh water or else. Be ready for your order...Three sushi Chefs behind the bar creating what is ordered.(I think, they must have prepared rolls). Its a full restaurant and three TVs preparing the background noise and color. We made a beginner mistake and ordered too much not knowing how much it actually is. Order less on the first of three rounds and be selective. Too much rice and heavy sources for me, covering the little flavor sushi has. Not what you normally expect from a sushi restaurant, but I had to remind me -> all you can eat! Dont expect first class sushi, you will get sushi not first class. The tuna was not in one piece, rather a tartar. (Hint).Check it out and find your favorite. It was OK for hungry hippos who want to believe they get a great deal for $30...I suggest, eat less and get better quality...lol.

I had the Hana sampler sides of cabbage chunks n carrot shreds, glass noodles, corn n rice n some dumplings on the side. WOW! I heated the sides instead of eating them cold. Everything was wonderfully delicious. I got dinner n 2 lunches out of one $23 meal. Everyone else had a different dinners n various sides. We all raved about the tasty flavors. There were three different sauces that we dipped n smeared on e everything that added much to our enjoyment. Will definitely be back...SOON!

I usually only write positive reviews because I think there needs to be more happiness in the world, but I honestly don't know how this place is in business. I ordered online and went to pickup my order, and the woman at the counter blankly told me, “we don't have your order.” I showed her my confirmation; she said, “no,” and then went to answer the phone. I patiently waited, and when she came back she said, “we aren't making your food.”I have been in the industry for 16 years, so I felt as I was nothing but polite and understanding (even though there were only three tables eating at the restaurant). I asked her if I could place the order with her in-person since they “didn't receive my online order” that I had already paid for. She said, “no it won't be ready for 2-hours. That's too long. We won't make your food.”I'm honestly flabbergasted. I don't know if it was because I was wearing sweats, or if it was because of something else. But, she then continued to assist other people after me and took their orders. I know reading this you're probably thinking, “well you must have done something!” But, I just wish you knew me because I'm always one to be polite, tip fat, and eat/leave quick so the server can turn the table.Very bizarre experience, and will absolutely never come here again. Which is a shame because I was really looking forward to trying their Drunken Noodles…

I spent almost $30 on two chicken bowls via GrubHub, but the driver said the store refused to provide any magic sauce because it wasnt listed on the order. The item listing on GrubHub says it includes two magic sauce and one hot sauce. In fact, in order to manually add magic sauce to the order you must pay an additional $.25 per sauce. Despite this, the staff person says they were not allowed to provide any sauce unless explicitly included on the order. They need to get their GrubHub situation sorted out and also inform their staff it is entirely appropriate to provide sauce to customers when a driver informs them it was supposed to be included in the order. This is not a good look for the company and seriously makes me question ordering from them again. All over a small container of sauce?

This store has the worst costumer service. My chicken was super dry and I asked for rice and only got veggies and dry chicken also didn't close the lid properly and spilled all over my car.I tried calling to explain to them they got my order wrong, never apologize and told me to call Monday to speak to the manager. I called Monday and it took me for ever to get a hold of them and when I finally did they hung up. I called again and left two messages and they never returned my call so I had my boyfriend call and they told them that they weren't able to do anything about it. I will never come back to this location. Safe your money and choose another location because this place sucks.
Panda Express

UPDATE: went in today and Joseph helped us out and was so nice and helpful! I don't eat meat and he asked the cooks if they could please cook some beyond orange chicken for me which they did! Loved the customer service!!Giving it three stars because Jon was so friendly and helpful even though he was training. I hope Mias attitude doesn't run off in him. I observed her completing a few online order without gloves which is fine, but she also touched other surfaces including a wall and then she moved Jon out if the way when he was about to complete my order I asked if Jon could finish it as she hadn't washed her hands or was wearing gloves, she answered back that she hadn't touch cash and it wasn't until I told her I saw her touching the wall that she let Jon complete my order and she went to the back to wash her hands with an attitude. She came back to the front with an even worse attitude.
California Teriyaki Grill

As a self-proclaimed chicken bowl connoisseur I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the three different dishes I have ordered at California Teriyaki Grill. Though I would prefer that my shrimp be cooked a tad more, both the chicken and steak were moist and flavorful. The service is always outstanding, the site is clean and convenient, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. I recommend trying the shrimp, chicken, steak combination - it also comes with a drink, salad and orange slices. Lastly, if you like onions like I do, they also offer a serve yourself onions where you can them pile high...
