This place serves the very best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever had! Incredibly fresh bread stuffed with vegan meat, cheese, and so much flavor! We tried the vegan Cuban tri-tip and the vegan Cuban chik’n. Both were incredible - the texture, the flavor, the experience. Perfection!Update: just returned the next day to try another sandwich before we fly out. The vegan chik’n Milanese sandwich is just as tasty but not quite as impressive as the Cubans. All delicious. Great sandwiches. They are huge. You will not be left hungry after one. Recommended is the California chicken with mushrooms and proprietary sauce. Excellent! Fairly quick service when not very busy. Small but adequate with outside dining.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That sandwich was vegan? I ordered the vegan tri-tip Cuban and my wife ordered the vegan chick’n Cuban and we shared. Piled high on artisan bread, their sandwiches are nothing short of amazing. Outdoor seating in the warm sun is great or eat inside. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a great sandwich!

Delicious sandwiches! Local spot and appears to be family run. They have a drive thru type window as well if you know about it. Parking is a little strange as it is placed in the hotel parking lot. Would definitely go back, sandwiches are well worth it and very filling!

We grabbed some sandwiches here since it was right next to our hotel. Tuna Sandwich was very good, decent size for the price as well. Their menu had a lot of options that looked great, Id like to try some tri tip next time Im in town.The service here really stood out, we had a large group ahead of ours with lots of questions and some substitutions, the young man at the register was engaged, attentive, fast and extremely courteous to everyone he helped. Really above and beyond service, for each customer.Great experience here, I love knowing there is a good local place next door to where I stay when Im in town for the races!

I stopped in for a quick bite at around 8:30am, the shop was empty inside but I could hear the mobile orders going off like crazy in the back, so they are clearly a favorite. I was impressed by the menu and friendlessness of the single employee. I ordered the Chicken Milanese on Ciabatta, and it was hands down delicious, the bread was fresh and the lightly breaded chicken was flavorful. I am only visiting for the day but Id come back in a heartbeat!

As visitors to California, we were looking for a small mom and pop style sandwich shop for a quick lunch. We were very pleased with 3 Mundos, and the service was excellent. Had the Mundos TriTip sandwich which was great and well balanced meat and veggies. Wife had the Hawaiian Pulled Pork and the bite I snuck was also great. As we chatted with the host about the menu, we mentioned being on a road trip and he gave us a complimentary cookie. Such a nice gesture. Id go here weekly to support such a refreshingly passionate local shop if I could, so since I cannot, I urge you to treat yourself to their food.

Amazing sandwiches! Stumbled on this place on a beach day trip and grabbed some sandwiches to go, perfect to take to the beach. The sandwiches are large and a great value for price and theyre made well, ingredients are seasoned and balanced (not too much bread). There are a few parking spots in front, no need to find street parking. No Safeway sandwiches, go here!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. As Vegans living in Alabama, we struggle to find vegan restaurants and we even struggled to find Vegan from Vallejo to Monterey when we landed. We ordered the BLT and faux chorizo burrito. And oh my gawd. Mouth watering. So many vegan options and it tasted like it wasn’t meat substitute. The sauces were perfection. The owner was amazing the entire time. He is vegan and doesn’t just serve Vegan, he lives vegan! He was accommodating and above friendly from the moment we walked in! Very impressed.

We hadnt been here for a while and we were delighted to stop by recently and order a bunch of delicious sandwiches at 3 Mundos on North Fremont. The super high quality bread and creative fresh ingredients make their sandwiches exceptional we believe! So far, we enjoyed the Mundos Tri-Tip, Tuna, Pastrami and the amazing Philly Chees Sandwiches. We really appreciate that we could order many choices of Vegan and Vegetarian sandwiches, too and loved the Vegan Crispy Chick n Milanese and Vegan Cubana Chicken. The Chicken Quesadilla was great, as well. We were able to reheat them the toaster a few days later and they were still amazing! They have a variety of potato chips including our favorite Kettle Brand, plus cookies and a great gluten-free vegan Cheesecake and Chocolate Lava Cake. We also love using the new 3 Mundos app - so convenient. The renovated interior looks great too. Were looking forward to bringing their great sandwiches along for picnics on sunny days!

VEGANS, DO NOT EAT HERE, YOU MIGHT BE EATING REAL MEAT: the young kids who work the register do not care about their job and they do not care if you are vegan. The two young kids that work there are consistently very rude and on their phones while working. I understand that they are kids but we’ve been very patient with them. My friend ordered the VEGAN cubano and the girl working had to be told the order 3 separate times because she simply was not paying attention. she also had headphones in while taking all of the people’s orders I brought to their restaurant. My friend who is a VEGAN of 10 + years ate REAL MEAT today. He was DEVASTATED. And he THREW UP EVERYTHING THE SECOND WE GOT HOME. I felt very let down and disrespected (I never leave negative reviews.) however, I have been given REAL MEAT TWICE NOW AFTER CLEARLY ORDERING VEGAN SANDWICHES. And the young kids that work their SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER OR IF YOU GET REAL MEAT. I have been eating at mundos since 2014. Although the owner came out and personally apologized, I still feel the need to leave this review because it is not fair to people who have food allergies to real meat, people who don’t eat meat for religious or cultural reasons and vegans/vegetarians!!!!As a vegetarian of 8 + years, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE to you if you are considering ordering a vegan sandwich.

So I work right across the street and everytime I forget to take lunch to work, mundos is what I prefer to have for lunch. Yes the burgers and sándwiches are bomb, thats without a doubt. However the customer service provide by all the stuff is what makes me want to go back. Everyone is so kind and mindful in a relax manner, that it doesnt feel like they have to provide excellent customer service, they just do. They are all great from the kitchen staff to the people in the register. Definitely a place to come back. Thank you mundos staff for your work. I appreciate it.

My partner and I just ordered from Mundos. I’d never tried their food before but my partner had in the distant past. She remembered it being good so we decided to try it for lunch. When it arrived and I opened the sandwich, I was shocked by the beauty of it. I was expecting just another sandwich, but instead received a piece of art. I knew it would be delicious even before trying it and indeed it was. I was just stunned by the flavors and textures of that sandwich. I dont know if its just my bad luck but 80% of the time that I get a sandwich here the chibata and dutch crunch are incredibly chewy. I think maybe theyre using old bread or microwaving it or something. and, they never carry soft french rolls. whyyyyyy not?? still, 4 stars though because everything else is solid. they should order bread from palermo bakery in my opinion, or the mexican bakery on broadway.

Not everything is a home run, but everything is good and some of their items are ridiculously delicious.Their triptip sandwiches are stellar...and this place makes the ONLY BLT (yes...Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich) that I will ever order from anywhere. The bacon they use is thick cut, meaty, smokey and insanely delicious...and they know how to choose good tomatoes which are never slimy or gelatinous...add some 🥑 avocado on the BLT and it goes even more next level!Anyway...cant go wrong here...a true hidden gem which is slowly being discovered by more and more locals...as witnessed by the more consistent numbers of diners around Lunch to early afternoon...though, this doesnt slow down their ability to quickly get food out of their kitchen.Go give Mundos a try...

I was pretty content with my sandwich. The tri-tip cubana had a good amount of meat and I enjoyed the chorizo in it. Felt the portion was quite reasonable for the price. Was not too busy, wait for the food felt like about 5-10 min. Feel good enough about it to come back again.There are tables where you can eat but it is a small restaurant.

Deeeelicious. I got a Warriors Pork sandwich, Mundos style, and it was so good. The sandwich is enormous, the pork is tender and juicy, and the sauces were bursting with flavor. Not sure what is going on here but for me I am losing interest. The first time the sandwich was great, when I went back to get another a week later it was made different and I was truly disappointed, it did not taste as incredible as the first one, which was a grilled chicken bacon. So now the 3rd time attempt went sideways, the cashier had no idea what I meant by add mustard to the side of the bread that has chicken. I lost my appetite and got to watch my party eat. Sorry not sorry but this is a no way place for me now.

Came here because of the mostly good reviews. This place is pretty much non-descript, nothing fancy . It is small inside but looked clean to me, but thats not the reason I came, I came for the food. So we ordered three different kinds of sandwiches the Philly cheesesteak the Mexican and the Cubano. I had a taste of all three and my favorite was the Mexican. First let me say all three sandwiches were pretty moist and loaded, I really loved the bread. The bread was crunchy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside I wasnt sure if it was Ciabatta or whats the other one? I cant remember the other bread Im trying to say oh well. The reason I chose the Mexican because it was the most flavorful. I loved the sauce they use on this one. As far as the staff goes I would say they were nice enough. Highest Yelp rated cafe/sandwich place in the area. Decent vegetarian options and the food itself tastes good. No restroom, and coffee was pretty less than mediocre (removed 1 star for each). I tried to eat here on Sunday and the hours say open 10 to 5 everyday. I pulled up in the parking lot and was taking of my helmet when I heard the door lock. This was at 4 pm! I hope they change their hours online or stay open the hours they claim. Very rude to just lock the door like that. They could have said they had to close early for something. I hope that is not the usual hospitality. I wanted to try the local flavor on my ride through Monterey. I hope they are not always like this.

My girl friend and I tried this place for the first time. I was excited to see so many different and vegetarian choices even though I am not a vegetarian. Never going back because....This place used to have quality sandwiches. Lately, they have raised the price of each sandwich 2 dollars and added a 20 cent bag of chips. A cheesy business tactic but understandable. Last sandwich I ordered however was made with the heels of the loaf of bread. When I called to inquire I was told that the heels of the bread are commonly used and if I was not intrested in having the heels of the bread I should make that request upon ordering. So it is my responsibility to make sure that I am getting quality bread. At $13 a sandwich this is unreasonable and outrageous. Never going back.

Needed a quick bite while in Monterey. Of course, whenever Im in a city I dont know, I do my best to support local. This place is as small as small business gets. They ask for cash only if possible. Theres a sign by the counter that says that. When you look up at the board, you do see the lots of sandwich choices. Of course, like everyone says the Tri Tip with chimichrri sauce is the must get. Of course I got that and since Im a big fan of bbq, I also got the BBQ tri tip. Both sandwiches were $9. I ordered potato salad on the side for $2.25 more.Oh, what I didnt know was that they have a little drive through here. So if you were in a rush like me, you can call ahead and pick it up as the drive through seems to have more priority. I had to wait for my sandwich that was already done and sitting on the counter for about 5 minutes while the lady who takes the order had to take care of the drive through and other people.The tri tip bbq sandwich was tender and the bread was soft but just slightly crusty enough on the outside it holds the sauce. Same goes with the one with the chimichurri sauce. Its basically the same sandwich but the BBQ one just was smothered with BBQ sauce. Note: The tri tip does come with cheese thats melted. So if you dont want it, let them know. It doesnt seem to say that in the list of ingredients on their website.I asked for a side of chimichurri sauce and by itself, I wouldnt say it was great. I also would say these chunks of beef are huge for tri tip. The beef seem more like a roast cut that have been slow roasted. I make BBQ all the time and tri tips are usually smaller. No matter though, Im a fan.So for good sandwiches in the Not so touristy area of Monterey, this would be your place to go.

I only went in for coffee this morning, no customers were there but there was two employees standing there speaking Spanish to one another and they totally ignored me for a good 3mins until the cook told them to help me, even then they stood there for a few seconds and didnt even aknowledge me .I was in a hurry to get to work, I almost walked away.They served me coffee and she poured regular milk In it without even asking me.I asked her if she poured milk in it and she said no.When I got to work and pulled off the lid I seen that she did in fact pour it in.The coffee was luke warm.
