Our favorite family spot! The ramen is amazing. My daughters love the chicken miso ramen, my son loves the yakisoba and karage chicken, and though I am a fan of all the ramen soups my favorite is the pork curry with pork cutlet😋. If you havent tried it you should... promise you wont regret it... youll be back for more👍

Really tasty ramen! It was packed and there was a line to be seated but it is worth the wait. Just come patient. I sat at the bar in front of the kitchen and it was interesting to see them prepare the food.I had a black garlic ramen with egg and pork. It had so much flavor!! Good noodles. So comforting and tasty! You can add in spicy and that is a great add-on.Loved the dumplings too. Great to go with the soup!!Parking is also tight.

Let me tell you, I always order the spicy beef ramen, and its one of the best beef ramen I have ever had in my life! 10/10!!! Its a little bit spicy. Dare to add some more hot sause like I did, dont forget to order some Gyoza on the side! (Lunch special) Customer service its great; the host and waiters make you feel very welcomed, and they are very attentive! Nice restaurant setting. I totally recommend it!

I am not sure what type of ramen it is, but Ajisan Ramen is the only one I truly enjoy and I am always coming back for more. Ive also tried the other location in Temple City and it was the same great experience. My favorite is the House Special and my husband likes the Spicy Beef one. We tried the Crunch Sushi, but was not impressed enough to make me order it again.The Fried Calamari its a MUST if you are in a mood for an appetizer, though the Ramen itself it is a big portion. Service was fast and very polite, food came out quickly and it was great. Well come again.

I went here on my birthday and it was amazing. I had the spicy beef ramen and gyoza with milk green tea. The customer service wasn’t extraordinary but the food was of the sort. The beef was so tender and flavorful and the ramen noodles themselves had a great texture. I highly reccomend to anyone.

This is a top Ramen place in my opinion. Small but not in a bad way. The ramen and the fried squid legs are delicious. I always tend to get the spicy beef ramen which isnt spicy at all, but you can get it more spicy if youd like. High recommend, you wont be disappointed.

Really sad because I use to frequent this location quite often about a year ago but something has definitely changed. Either the cook or the management or both. The quality of the food is completely different from what it once was. The teriyaki chicken had bones in it and the sauce was clumpy and nothing like what it was before. Its not even the consistency of what teriyaki sauce should be like. I went with two other guests and they ordered the Beef Bowl and Teriyaki chicken. The beef in the beef bowl was a lot less than what it was before. I ordered the Ajisens best and it was way too salty. Tasted more like their worst. The meat was tough and it was definitely not what it use to be. The server did not check in on us after taking the order and dropping off the dishes. When I spoke with the server about the chicken she said there wasnt bones in the chicken until I pointed it out to her right on the dish. No offer to change things up or fix it. Also, feeling pretty sick to the stomach and the only thing I had before this meal was a protein shake so Im pretty sure this place was the culprit. I would not recommend Ajisens now. Its a sad shadow of what it once was just a year or so ago as I remembered it. Definitely lost a loyal customer here.

First time coming to Ajisen Ramen in Rowland Heights even though its been open for a long time now. The ramen was average in taste and portion size as I had the ABC ramen. Prices are on the higher side for ramen. The chicken karaage was disappointing and would not recommend. They have several servers working when we dined in, but most of the time they were chatting with each other instead of checking in on customers and refilling our water. Disappointing experience overall and validates why I didnt come dine in earlier.

Dining in at Ajisen is typically a 4 or 5 star experience but the takeout was disappointing. My mom is an avid fan of Ajisen so we’re glad to see that it’s still offering delivery/pickup during coronavirus and ordered takeout on a Saturday for dinner. We called our order in and it was ready for us when we picked it up. They take credit cards and parking was easy since there’s an underground lot.The food portions are noticeably smaller for takeout than they typically are when you dine-in. I liked that the broth was separated from the noodles so you can mix it up yourself when you’re ready to eat. The broth for the beef curry udon was watery and only had a hint of curry. The broth for the spicy pork ramen was better but it was not spicy at all. I would say the ABC ramen was the best of the three we had, although there were less pieces of meat than they typically provide.Overall I would go back to Ajisen once they’re open for dine-in because they provide efficient quick service with generous portions of hot ramen, but I wouldn’t order takeout from them again.

One thing that stood off my visit was I asked for extra chili oil and spicy powder since I wanted to control the spicy factor of my pork ramen. They brought it out with my food. Made the food even better. I thanked them again on my way out regarding the chili oil and spicy powder, they gave me both to go! Its a little thing to get to go, but a long way to great service.

Ive been here a few times. Its not bad but also nothing special. There are a few of these around East LA.The Ramen itself is not bad. Like most ramen around here you get the filtered broth (unfiltered where the blood etc from marrow remains is the best in Japan in my opinion). Not too salty and it doesnt have too much added flavor which is nice. Like most shops around here, they also do not cook the bone long enough. I will have to ask them to cook the noodles less next time, they were quite soft.The chashu was horrible. No flavor, tasted like they just sliced the pork and threw it in. Not many toppings and they seemed old.The boba in their tea was small and not very chewy. Seemed like it was made long ago. The other dishes such as sushi, curry, etc. were nothing special. That is one reason why I would come back here though. If you want something besides just Ramen with friends you can get a better variety. For the quality of the Ramen itself, I would go elsewhere.

Great service. I had the pork ramen but didnt like the flavor. It tasted like they used tap water to cook it. I dont consume ramen regularly so not sure if thats what it supposed to taste like but I was not impressed. I would give them another try but would not order Ramen. Very good basic lunch or dinner spot! Ajisen Ramen had a very flavorful broth, rich but not too heavy, with half an egg, some delicious tender roast pork and seaweed, and thin egg noodles cooked just slightly chewy, very nice, though not exceptional. Pleasant attentive service, decent prices.

Been a couple of years since I last visited. I ended up being let down. Nothing like what I remembered enjoying.Showed up with a plus 1 as they opened for dinner service. I ordered the bbq ramen and my date ordered the chicken yakisoba. I received my bowl in an appropriate amount of time but we waited and waited for the yakisoba. Things were busy but not as busy as when we left so at one point we asked for an update on the yakisoba. The kitchen had made the wrong plate.I was trying to wait for my dates plate to arrive to really dig in but I had a couple of bites and tasted the broth while it was hot. I didnt expect it to be so bland. Whats funny is that my date had never had ramen from a restaurant before and she commented that my bowl did not look appetizing. She was right, it didnt look inviting to my eyes. I still ate it. It wasnt disgusting. Just disappointing.I tried the yakisoba and the chicken was decent, aromatic. Sucks that it came so late after we had ordered. The busy waiter was doing his best and ultimately offered what he could and gave us drinks for free. He was good and made himself available when we needed him.

Used to be better. They dont give enough broth. Its still a good little spot with nice dine in setting, but last time I was here the ramen noodles were a bit tough to chew, like past al dente. Flavor here is great, but just seems like they hold back on their broth serving all the time and you leave just barely not hungry anymore after a ramen bowl. Ill come back, but just on the rare occasion. Wish I could give them the 5 stars.

It was raining so we wanted some ramen. Its in a small plaza and parking is downstairs. We didnt have to wait too long and the staff was super friendly. They had a large amount of options on their menu and I chose the ABC ramen and the meats were all tender, broth was flavorful and warmed me up. My wife chose the spicy beef ramen and she enjoyed it. The parking lot is small and shared by several businesses—I was very lucky to grab a spot. Then, there was no one at the front, just a sign saying “Please wait outside,” so I did. Turns out the crowd ahead of me was a group of 7 waiting for special arrangements and I could have been seated immediately. Not an auspicious start. I ordered the volcano ramen—the broth was good and appropriately spicy, but the portions were modest (small bowl with only 3 pieces of pork, and no option to add chashu) and the toppings were boring (just mushrooms and scallions). I could also tell they wanted me out of there ASAP. They actually lost some of my money because they brought me my check without giving me a chance to order dessert. Not worth the drive, I won’t be back.

Ive always loved their noodles but my last visit wasnt that great. We ordered the chicken (appetizer) and it was super dry and no sauce at all. We even had to ask if they have any sauce. Their prices went up ... way too much. Dont know if the price is still worth what youre getting... I think there are other noodle places that has a little bit more reasonable prices.

The most horrendous Ramen I ever had.I picked up my order 15 minutes after it was placed, and I live only 3 minutes away. By the time I got home, the soup was not even warm, the noodle was all soggy, the meat was dry and tasteless as if they were cooked for too long, I didnt know Ramen can be this bad!I usually finish my bowl with out a single drop of soup left, but this time I couldnt even finish half, it tasted like microwaved left overs. Maybe other locations have better food, but stay away from this location!

Really enjoyed the ramen here! They have so many variations available and you can enjoy it from spicy to normal to BBQ flavored meats! The noodles have a nice bounce to it and the broth is flavorful . Its definitely different from the traditional but in a good way.The restaurant has plenty of seating! The menu is pretty large so youll need some time with it to pick your noodle destiny!Id come visit again!They also do takeout and are pretty quick about it when its not too busy!

Service was good. I ordered the Tan Tan Men which looked very delicious on the menu, when it came it wasnt good at all. The noodles were fairly tasty but the broth was terrible in my opinion. I also ordered some Gyoza which was actually pretty good. If they changed their broth I would probably reconsider coming back to this place, but as of right now Im not considering going back.

Dont have many ramen joints around where I live, but found this place on Yelp and was around town. For the price being around 10 bucks its not bad. The broth is good and you can get different cuts of pork which was nice. Some of the dishes dont come with an egg so that was a bit disappointing. I added it anyways for a buck extra. Its a little cramped and servers are in a rush but would come back if Im nearby and its cold out.

Been coming to this location for many years and it seems like the quality of service and their food has gone down. First the service the waitress that we had was always in a rush, we would be asking her something and she would take off . So she and other waiters had to make multiple trips of getting items for us . I would suggest that the waiters need to be retrained, on asking is there anything else I can get for you. Also they never came by to see if we needed any thing else . At the very end the host came with the receipt and was about to take off also. Not even asking if we would like any boxes for our food . I do not really expect much for Asian run restaurants, but seriously its not that hard to ask customers is everything ok and do you need any boxes . The fried chicken was super big chunks compared to little bite size pieces that they used to have. Which made the chicken not fully cooked, we really could not complain since our waiters never came by .

I love to eat in this place.... the food is really good... but today I had a bad experience. I ordered the beef spicy ramen soup. Everything was fine I was eating when suddenly I saw a hair on my soup :( it was disgusting so I told the waiter and he took my plate and then another waiter came and asked me if I wanted the same thing or something else. I told her I wanted the exact same thing, extra spicy ramen soup, since they took a while I asked for it to go and when I get home I notice its only half a bowl of the usual big size and it didnt have any spice in it, nothing absolutely nothing. Hopefully they pay attention to clients orders because I wouldnt recommend this place to my friends.

This place use to be a really good spot to eat. But ever since Covid 19 costumer service really sucks. My first issue there new policy. They would like u to pay if u call over phone with card asap. However they dont have anyway to giving u a receipt or confirmation number to show that u have paid. So I end up using Doordash to make my order which brings me to my second issue when I came in to their restaurant they assume that I was the person that made order. Didnt ask for confirmation or to see info from doordash just asked if I was Arthur and handed over. My last issue is the when I asked the lady for extra broth she claim that they dont do that but yet if u check there doordash app they do for a $1.50 more. Which I would of been more then happy to have spend. I would of prefer her to been honest and say u didnt want to give me more broth. After today and my experience this will probably be the last time I come here I have a family over 7 people and I always pay anywhere from $100-$150 Everytime I come. So I really do hope they enjoy that $117 I spent today at there place I will not being coming back thank u.

Wow. This ramen place has beef! The beef in my ramen was SO flavorful and tender, and even plentiful. There was more meat in my bowl than I expected. Everything else about the ramen was pretty average, though. If you like chicken, though, then this isnt the place to go. Theyll put fried chicken in your ramen, but thats all.

Ramen and food is yummy. Service is kinda well, not like a restaurant. Its more fast food service. I had expected it to be ppl greeting you, then ask if you want to be seated here or there. Instead I was waiting for a while, while other ppl who come after me were seated before me. Then it seemed like there was only one nice girl who doesnt seemed rushed to help you out, while others make you feel like you are bothering them for even water or a menu. Fresh made noodles is the mark of a quality ramen restaurant and Ajisen is the place for that. I was so hungry & excited for my dish that I forgot to snap a pic. I got #33 - BBQ pork ramen. With a generous amount of broth & noodles as well as ample slices of pork all garnished with half of a soft boiled egg, this dish will not disappoint. Great food! Some of the best ramen I have had! Some times the service is slow which kind of kills the enjoyment of the food. Last time we were there we got our ramen first, then about 5 mins later we got our drinks, then lastly we got our appetizer. That was the only unpleasant time we had there. Otherwise its great. A bit pricy but then again were in California.......One key note - If you have a lowered car the parking lot is very unfriendly. Steep driveways, and speed bumps as high as curbs! If your car is low, enter the driveway on Colima Rd. then park out front. If all spots are taken do not go over that speed bump by the entrance to the underground parking! If you must, enter the steep driveway on Fullerton Rd. and go only into the underground parking dont venture over to the front parking unless you dont care for your undercarriage of you car.

However, it is fairly small (not like super small) but largest group table holding around 8-10 people, but its the only big table. The rest of seats are 4 seaters with two 6 seaters. Also, be wary of RUSH HOUR (fridays and most weekends), as it takes 15-30 min for seating if you go. Overall a simple, enjoyable dining experience or place to grab a bite.

Ajisen is a ramen place that you go to when nothing else is open and you are craving some noodles. It is a solid restaurant, but it isnt Japanese ramen like the ramens at dedicated Ramen-yas nearby.
