Ishi Sushi
18888 Labin Ct c110, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
I didnt care for this sushi spot. Dont get me wrong, though. The fish is fresh and they give huge portions. My low rating is for the lack of flavor and variety of the fish. It is a nice looking restaurant and clean!Salmon should have a creamy and melt-in-your-mouth feeling when it is fresh. The salmon sashimi was fresh and felt creamy but it did not melt in my mouth, because of the huge cuts of the fish. Ive eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants and thick cuts are not normal. When you compare the flavor for the cost, this place is overpriced. Their tuna was most likely stored right next to or on top of their albacore, because it had the same heavy slightly bitter taste of albacore. Not good!If I wanted albacore I would order that... The yellow tail was sliced differently than Im used to and it definitely had a slight odor which means it is not fresh. The taste was off on that as well.Great service and environment. Great looking bar!Would not come back.

Unassuming but surprisingly good at making Japanese cuisine. I love their tonkatsu. Very affordable as many other Japanese restaurants are really expensive.
Kopan Sushi & Ramen

Nice decor, good customer service but the food is not on par with other Japanese restaurants IMHO. Note: Hot tea is $2.50 extra.
Mo-Mo-Paradise
17596 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Mo-Mo-Paradise is a Japanese restaurant located in Rowland Heights, CA. It is a popular spot for all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. The restaurant has a large selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables to choose from. The broths are also very good, and there are a variety of sauces to choose from to customize your meal.I recently visited Mo-Mo-Paradise and had a great experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. I would definitely recommend Mo-Mo-Paradise to anyone looking for a great shabu-shabu or sukiyaki experience. One thing to note is that Mo-Mo-Paradise no longer has self-serve boba. This is a bit of a disappointment, as the boba was one of my favorite things about the restaurant. However, the other aspects of the meal were still excellent, so I would still recommend Mo-Mo-Paradise to others. If I were to give feedback to the owner of Mo-Mo-Paradise, I would suggest bringing back the self-serve boba.
Ajisen Ramen
18253 Colima Rd #104, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Really sad because I use to frequent this location quite often about a year ago but something has definitely changed. Either the cook or the management or both. The quality of the food is completely different from what it once was. The teriyaki chicken had bones in it and the sauce was clumpy and nothing like what it was before. Its not even the consistency of what teriyaki sauce should be like. I went with two other guests and they ordered the Beef Bowl and Teriyaki chicken. The beef in the beef bowl was a lot less than what it was before. I ordered the Ajisens best and it was way too salty. Tasted more like their worst. The meat was tough and it was definitely not what it use to be. The server did not check in on us after taking the order and dropping off the dishes. When I spoke with the server about the chicken she said there wasnt bones in the chicken until I pointed it out to her right on the dish. No offer to change things up or fix it. Also, feeling pretty sick to the stomach and the only thing I had before this meal was a protein shake so Im pretty sure this place was the culprit. I would not recommend Ajisens now. Its a sad shadow of what it once was just a year or so ago as I remembered it. Definitely lost a loyal customer here.
Kobe Gyukatsu
19755 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
This restaurant is a Korean restaurant trying to make japanese Korean food. The kyukatsu is ok. Dont order the snowflake kyukatsu. Its all cheese and bbq sauce. Food over priced salty, and odd flavors. If your not Korean expect a long wait time. Be prepared for a shower after getting out unless you like smell of fried oil.
Higo Express
17490 Colima Rd Suite C, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
We were walking to another restaurant when we passed Higo Express and decided to stop in because of the pics of food they had outside and we were glad we did. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado with filet mignon, I ordered the ceviche mixta, and we shared Higo tacos. The Lomo Saltado, plantains, and aji verde (spicy green sauce) were delicious, although the egg was a little overcooked. The Higo tacos were also very good. I thought the ceviche mixta was a little off-tasting, but my husband thought it was great. The inside of the restaurant was cool and clean. We are excited to come back and try the pollo a la brasa (Peruvian rotisserie chicken) because we saw someone else order it and it looked and smelled amazing.

LASC

I started studying in the TOEFL class at LASC Rowland Heights in June 2019, which lasted a total of one year. During this period, I took the TOEFL three times, and each time I got a score increase in each unit. I finally achieved the target score in May 2020, and got an offer from CGU in July 2020. Studying for the Master Degree at CGU has now begun. Let's briefly comment on LASC's TOEFL class.1. The teaching materials used are TOEFL iBT official teaching materials, which are highly targeted.2. Danial and Victoria teach reading and writing, and listening and speaking respectively. They are very enthusiastic and serious teachers.3. To take the Tofel test, you must first understand the question types and master the time rules. Basically, after one year, I have become very familiar with TOEFL question types and gradually formed a routine for doing questions. For example, Victoria compiled the first sentences and sentence structures of speaking. I basically use this routine in actual exams.4. The timed speaking exercises in class every day are very helpful. The Speaking section of TOEFL is a very time-demanding test unit. By practicing every day, I gradually got a feel for how to organize content within 45 seconds and 60 seconds.5. The school has activities at the end of every semester (before the epidemic), which is quite interesting. My feeling is that standardized tests still require strong test-taking training. Several language schools in Los Angeles do not have classes for TOEFL or IELTS test-taking. And classes taught in full English are much more helpful than taking courses in Chinese.
Roe Deer Food Service Inc
1463 Daisetta St, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
The beef skewers were very, very salty, old, hard to bite, and the portion was so small that it looked like a scam. This is the United States, a country where everything is big. Such a few pieces of meat are embarrassing to the Chinese people, and Japanese restaurants dare not sell them like this. The portion of Malatang is huge, which is great, but I had diarrhea after eating it. I had diarrhea several times. I don’t know what happened, but it was dirty. This is my second visit and I won’t come again because I don’t want to lose weight or have diarrhea.
