Delicious spring rolls.soup was uninspired on all levels.I wouldnt have eaten any of the ingredients on their own. broth was more like warm water. I added the sauce from the spring rolls to get any flavor at all. too many noodles, no where near enough protein. it was just boiled shredded chicken. nothing special, and not enough. bland and uninspired is the best thing I can say about the soup. wouldnt return if it was offered to me free.very friendly staff that clearly doesnt know what good soup is.2 soup, 2 beers, 1 order spring rolls, approx $60drastically overpriced for the quality.

Casual dine in, but food is good. Ordered pho, and two different spring rolls. Broth wasn’t very flavorful, rolls were great. Overall good experience, clean place, great stop on our way between LA and Bay Area.

Update: 8/4/23We mostly order for pick up, and during various occasions, they have forgotten our ghost sauce. We always order the Ghost Pho with the ghost sauce on the side and its always forgotten so make sure to double check with the cashier before you leave. Its disappointing to get home and realize its not there. 🫠Old review:My honnie and I have become practically regulars. Although we love the atmosphere and the welcoming employees,we also order a lot of take out. We always order tofu and ghost pho. Their thai tea, tofu spring rolls, and ghost pepper wings are really good too.!

Seems impossible to get good Pho in central California. This place is no different. They have a lot of options but unfortunately the food was underwhelming. The broth in the Pho was bland without the sauces. A good broth shouldn’t need sauce.The vegetarian Spring roll was terrible. Couldn’t eat it. Tofu was in large chunks and there wasn’t much to the rolls like normal spring rolls that have vegetables. This only had lettuce and tofu with noodles in a wrap that was hard. Overall disappointing.

Absolutely loved the chicken salad! The brisket is super flavorful and the perfect texture, never had a better pho brisket. The ghost wings were A+. The customer service is outstanding, every single person in here was friendly and had a good attitude. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. All around a very happy experience :)

Al Pho may be pretty difficult to get to but it is absolutely worth the effort. The oxtail pho was really tasty and all the other pho, bun and spring rolls were served with all the traditional fixings. Huge servings, consider it a large except there is no small haha.

I go to this pho place at least once a week or twice a week. We love coming here. the food is soooo good. The portion is huge, so youre paying for what you get. The service is fast ! Def one of the BEST places to eat Pho at. The food is genuinely delicious. The gentleman there (bald Asian gentleman) is on point with service and attentive to each table. The food is HOT, Spicy to your taste preference and quick service too. Really really flavourful food. Best Pho for me in California so far. I have had it in Mexico, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego and many more places. This little place blew me away.

Management provides amazing service with high quality, fresh ingredients all ready to go! The owner is very devoted to his business, the food, and to making sure customers are happy. As a vegan, I was so excited to find a vegan pho on the central coast since I drove up from LA County. I live close to Little Cambodia and have had the pleasure of trying many different pho places, but Al-Pho SMACKS! I highly recommend this place!

Honestly, portion size for price here is substantially better than most locations. The vegetarian options were both great, the pho did not seem particularly oily. This place would be a 5/5 easily if they offered brown rice pho noodles, alas, we were not given that option. We will still likely go again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Absolutely 10/10. I came here on a gut feeling while in town for work and I was not disappointed. Service was excellent, the whole staff made me feel included and at home. The food was great too, I just went off of suggestions from the front man. Food was in front of me within 5 minutes of sitting down. Overall great experience and can’t wait till I get to come back.

I usually get Vietnamese food when I travel to a big city, its one of my favorite ethnic foods. Al Pho here in Santa Maria is as good as some of the best Ive had. Their fresh rolls are really good. The sides that come with their pho are nice and fresh, the stock is rich and clear. Get a #1 if you want the real thing. And in their rice plates or bowls, the chicken is so tender.Its not real easy to find and the entrance is around the back, but its right off the freeway on Main St going East, on the left. An easy.off and back on the freeway if youre passing through. The orders come out fast so its a great stop if youre passing through and hungry!

Came here to try the food as I saw it had a good rating, honestly I was disappointed, pho was very bland had zero taste I needed to use the sauce for flavor, good pho should need ZERO sauce. To top it off its not a cheap location, I mean $2.50 cents for a can of Sprite? Dont recommend, will not be coming back.

No better place to visit for Pho or anything else they have. Great serving sizes, fresh tasting ingredients, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. They have a chicken salad that is by far the best Ive had. Noodles are on point, and the broth is always perfect. A must if you enjoy Vietnamese food. Only negative is the limited parking.

Best Pho in Santa Maria. Their Pho broth is amazing! Reminds me of some of the Pho places Ive been to when visiting Portland. Al Pho is newly expanded with more seating. If Pho is not your thing, the vermicelli bowls and the chicken salad with cabbage is great. Sometimes I just get the broth to-go when its cold outside. Delicious!

Amazing. I come here more than I should because Im poor and its on the higher end of foods compared to something like fast food. I get the ghost pho every time I come here, make sure you get it on the side if you want to regulate how hot it is. The staff is super nice and I like how the meat is still cooking in the hot pho as its brought to the table. You do have to fill your own waters which some people think is a negative. I on the other hand drink a lot of water so I enjoy not having to inconvenience the staff every time I need more. This place is awesome, I cant recommend it enough.

The customer service is great, the food is delicious, and the prices are more than fair! Theyre vegan friendly too!!! The vegan pho with some ghost sauce (on the side or youll die) IS FIRE. Be careful because its insanely hot. The spring rolls are also very delicious. They have both inside and outside seating options. Since it is such a small place, they only have one babyseat available to their customers.

I got the beef pho and the portion was huge!! It was reasonably priced at less than $11 for a bowl. I also enjoyed the spring rolls. What I didnt enjoy was the rude customer service. I think adding some sort of signage that says order first and then choose a table would be helpful. My party was confused and people entering the restaurant also looked confused. When I figured I needed to order first and then sit, my friend remained at the table and I went to order. When it was my turn to order, the waiter was complaining (not so quietly) to the cashier that people were coming in and getting tables without ordering. Also, no one ever came to our table after giving us our food and we needed more toppings so we had to flag someone down. Definitely lack of organization. I hope they sort it out because the pho was good.

Food is good fast service. But when I was asked if I needed something else I asked for a glass of water and he sent me to go get it.He is asking?? I can get up and get my water but I thing you need to offer a little more of service since they take the tips ahead when you are paying with CC so if you are not even gonna offer to bring the customer a cup of water, then don’t take the tips ether. That’s what tips are for. Tips are given to them for their good service.

I think this is my favorite restaurant in Santa Maria. I eat here at least every two weeks. Pho is one of my favorite foods but since Ive been vegan its almost IMPOSSIBLE to find. But they have VEGAN PHO here as well as v vermicelli. I find the quality excellent as well as the service. The folx who work here are very kind and the food is always served very quickly. Its delicious. Ive heard from my non veg friends that the chicken and beef pho is also excellent. Thanks Al Pho!

The best pho in the area hands down. Some of the best pho Ive ever had. Closed Wednesday, but go any other day of the week. Outside seating in back. Veteran, military and first responder discount. Try the BBQ plate with ginger sauce.

The pho here tasted authentic but contained msg. I know because I get a certain headache when food has msg. Also, it was a pretty disappointing first visit. There were only 3 small tables, the manager was also trying to wait tables. Two other young women who seemed to be working there, took up one table restocking napkins and silverware. They were dressed very unkempt, hair and clothes. Spent time chatting instead of waiting on customers. My friend ordered a shrimp pho, and I ordered the rare steak pho. They served us two of the steak pho instead. We asked for water. No water came. About 10 minutes after finally getting the soup, after they served our appetizer without any silverware, we asked for some, and one of the girls brought us 2 forks rolled up in one napkin! The whole experience seemed to not be geared toward their customers but toward their own socializing. Very disorganized and uninterested. Will try the other vietnamese restaurant in town. Not worth the $25+ we spent here, to have such an unpleasant experience.
