Next door to the strip club, feels ghetto even going there and the place feels like a hole in the wall. Very strange that this is a chain restaurant because I didn’t get that vibe at all. Everything about this place looks and feels like a dirty hole in the wall, however sometimes some of the best food comes out of these places. Ordered the jalapeño Philly and I have to say it was one of the better Phillys I’ve had in a while. The fact that this place is a Philly cheesesteak company and a Filipino restaurant at the same time is kinda confusing. I’m not into Filipino food at all, but I’ll be back for another Philly. Oh, the ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly. Definite 5 stars on the service.

Saw this place nestled in the corner of the river mall and Ive been wanting to try. I ordered the Supreme cheese steak. There was no description so I was actually unsure what was on it but I think it was pieces of fried chicken on a regular cheese steak. It was not bad. But I would not really call this a cheese steak. Could have used more fries and was a little more cost than I was hoping but it tasted good. This is the kind of place that thrives from customers that appreciate customer service. They do a great job of customer service so if thats the kind of place you are looking for and are happy to compensate for it then this is the place.

I’ve recently moved here from San Diego and starting missing Filipino food. I’ve discovered this place and had to try the fried chicken which was very delicious! The Lumpia was fine, but probably better in the restaurant. I’ll have to dine-in next time!

We ordered the bansilog (bangus, fried rice and 2 eggs), 8 piece fried chicken, philly steak and halo halo. The food was really good and tasty especially the 8 piece chicken (dark). Ordered an extra cup of rice too. Philly cheesesteak was scrumptious and on point. We were going to order pancit to go but was too full. The halo halo was good too since it was 101° outside. The staff at this location were very nice, courteous and attentive. Will be back again when we are in palm springs

We were looking for lunch options nearby and ran across this lovely little gem. I was interested in the Filipino food options and ordered the pork sisig. The meat was seasoned well and it was delicious. It had more onions than I would like but that is more personal preference.My lunch partner ordered the Philly cheese steak. It was good but not really the same as a legit one.Overall, we found this to be a great quick and delish lunch option.

I had the regular Philly Cheese Steak and my spouse had the Pancit, both were excellent. The bread roll for the cheese steak was fresh and delicious, soft but strong enough to hold together when you eat it. The fillings were also fresh tasting, the beef lean and tender. The Pancit had good fresh veggies and a small amount of very tasty chicken. As good as I have had from any restaurant. They also have a full Krispy Krunchy Cajun-style fried chicken menu. I only sampled the red beans and rice, and it was also excellent. The only negative is the location, right next to a gentlemans club. Even if they were open for dine-in, it has just a couple of tables as an after thought. If you want dine-in, especially with the family, try one of their other locations.

Not sure how a order of out of the box lumpia, possibly privately made flan and a soda cost me 17.80....my friend got a bigass chicken philly, fries, drink for 15 and couldnt finish it. Place has good options, I guess you just gotta know what they are....

Ordered noodles with one was beef and the other chicken. The lumpia was a bag of frozen lumpia fired in a air fryer almost burntNoodle soup had no flavor what so ever. Ask for salt give us a little package of .salt and the tastes of the soups were very bland.whe. you at a restaurant.the food should have a taste.not a just blah taste

I will say, Apongs is a hidden gem nestled in a deep corner where no one would even think twice to look there. Could be the scary alley, car shops, or strip club surrounding it that i missed it as well, who knows!?! I just know the food here is amazing!! If you have been searching for great Filipino food, than this is the spot! Amazing selection to choose from, and their chicken is on point! Wont go anywhere else from now on. Give them a try, straight fire!!

Very good filipino food. OK sandwiches. The sandwiches dont come with any sides for the money you pay. A little disappointed with that. Ladies there were friendly and attentive. Otherwise because we love filipino food I can see us going back for that.

Sadly, I didnt order the chicken. Wish I had!Anyway, went here as I was told how good their Philly cheese steak sandwiches were. NOT! The worse I have ever had and not a good deal at all. Stay away from this choice. Stick with the chicken!Service was friendly and quite good...next door to Showgirls...kind of a questionable area but safe. Plenty of parking.

I ordered the Jambalaya and lumpia. Both were good but I must say the Jambalaya was a bit dry but had good flavor. The Lumpia were small and looked to be perfectly made leaving me wondering were they bought or perfectly house made - each one.Ill visit again as I want to try their Philly Steaks and a few other items on their expansive menu. This may get them to a 4-star rating.Theyre located in a strip mall off of Perez road next to a gentlemens club and several other businesses. I look forward to returning to taste other items on their menu.

Just send $80 on fried chicken overcooked and salty. Also wanted to charge me an additional $5 for Dippin sauce. I explained to the counter girl I just purchased 40 chicken strip can I have some Dipping sauce. Places not very helpful and customer service is down. Next time I go to KFC where I know I will get dipping sauce for free.

The staffing here have been consistent friendly and really nice. The friend chicken is excellent. Dont let the fact that they share a parking lot and building with a gentlemens club turn you off entirely, its really good food (though may want to do take out).

This is a Philly (as in Philadelphia, and complete with pictures taken from that city) inspired food place that actually offers Filipino meals, too, including those you typically have for breakfast. Its fast food, and so, we ordered Philippine meals. Not bad. They cook them after you order them. Its not like other Philippine food places where the foods are arrayed in metal containers.In the meantime, I saw others showing and ordering their burger deals. They seemed to be happy about their orders. My friend and I were fine as well with what we got, among which include lumpiang Shanghai, plus watermelon drink (if I recall it right)

Killer cheese steaks with actual cheese whiz....I only say 4 stars because I had my sandwich prepared without the bread, and the bread is important part of any sandwich. Kool part is they support keto eating and took order right away. Their wings are super crispy and tasty even without the sauce. They come breaded or without. There is a whole menu I hope to explore over time. Employees are great too. Stop by for a quick lunch...you wont be disappointed.

We came here mainly because we wanted to check out their take of Philippine cuisine. However, this place is much more of a Philly cheese steak one, if I have to describe it simply. Its really more of a fast food place. They, however, tried to serve us Philippine meals, including lumpia, which wasnt really tasting great.

Did you really just microwave one of my chicken tenders? Boy came out of nowhere with one of my tenders a minute after I hear a microwave.. meanwhile lady pours my other tenders from fryer. Come on! Good food, but understaffed. Don’t get sloppy!!! Chef mike again and I’ll go elsewhere!!

Their prominently nice display customer facing menu is more chicken focused meals. It was the first one I saw despite it facing sideways as you enter the place. Although they offer traditional filipino breakfast and some oriental meals (on a white board) facing the customer, you would think you went to the wrong place. I was looking for the Filipino food like Tapsilog. I guess they cater more on the local palette. Cannot blame them, tough enough for the business to survive here. They have a branch also at the River Mall, Rancho Mirage. They also accept catering. I suggest you visit and try their food. And dont get lost as it is located beside the Show Girls strip club.

I ordered a supreme philly cheesesteak sandwich . Nothing supreme about it. Very dinky sandwich not enough meat . Its pretty bad when you can make a better one at home. I would not refer this to a friend . French fries are not good . No ice in the machine. Soda machine was off. Service is ok food is not worth it.

Order about 7 different foods and only 2 of em were good, beef pinapaitan was just super bitter and no other flavor, teriyaki beef didnt have teriyaki, philly cheese steak didnt have cheese, fries tasted like it was old, sisig was under cooked and no flavor, the only good thing we got was the bangus and siomai which were really good, but overall not worth the price, very expensive and not worth it

HORRIBLE! Took an online order and MY MONEY and said order would be reaady in 18-30 minutes. I drove to pick it up at the Cathedral City location and THEY ARE CLOSED TUES / WED. Why take an online order AND MY MONEY if you are closed. WHAT A JOKE. WILL DO CHARGEBACK WHICH WILL COST THEM MORE THAN MY ORDER. SAD! A waste of my time.

This is a wonderful family run business! The Cheesesteak is phenomenal! We are two people from Philadelphia who now live in the desert. We have searched far and wide for a good Philadelphia cheesesteak to no avail. Then we found Apongs! Anytime we need a Cheesesteak fix, we head down to Cathedral City! We hear they are opening a second shop at the river in Rancho Mirage and we look forward to trying them out there too!
