UpdateWent again with a buddy and got 2 beef dishes, 4 beers, large rice, cajun frys, and boil Combo #2 Hot with fusion for the sauce.The 2 lunch special dishes were great and tasted pretty good. The Cajun Garlic fries have a great bite and are perfect in terms of the garlic.The Boil left much to be desired. The sauce was bland and very watery. It looked more like water with spices in it but still was bland. It doesnt coat the seafood at all and just tasted slightly spicy with no other flavors coming through.The shrimp and crawdads were great and werent overcooked, but once again, no flavor due to the horrible sauce. The clams had broken shells in them.The server was great though. She was super attentive and when we said the sauce was bland and watery/thin, she went to the kitchen and got slightly thicker sauce for us to go. The sauce was now thicker but still had almost no flavor.Pic of watery sauce and to go sauce included.First ReviewI got a seafood combo with white rice and a shrimp chow mein to go for the wife. Asked the server to sub potatoes for either sausage or corn. I asked him twice and he said ok. He didnt write the order down and just left. Got the combo and rice and it was great. However he forgot to sub potatoes and he grabbed one for me later when he placed the Togo order on the side.Got the check and saw that it was vegetable not shrimp chow mein. No offer to change or sub or anything.Overall, male server was pretty bad but food was great.

Had all the seafood boils and it was delicious. i wish i had the pictures to show. the owner is very friendly and his staff was courteous. i would recommend going here, i would come back again the food was delicious.

First time here and the food was pretty good. Loved the garlic flavor with mild seasonings. Upset that when we were odering the serve told us the combo was a lot of food and basically trying to convince us not to oder the plate of sweet and sour chicken plate. At first I Was disappointed they didn’t have the same menu as Natomas. Had to order sides but when the food came out it was pretty big and we were able to share for 4.... taste great! $30 more than worth the price! And 2 drinks were included!

Nice little place. Open and interesting. For a sea food place it smells nice inside. Most smell like a bay. Nice people. I Ordered combo 4 for $52bucks. Worth every penny. Incredible sauce. The food was everything I hoped to find. I will return.

This place has an amazing staff and a great menu. I swear theres no way with the choices here u wont find something for everybody even picky eaters. Staff was super friendly and quick. The location is just a bummer cuz I feel like people are probably not aware its there. My family is all about it, my son even asked for Asian n Cajun for his birthday. We just order like a bunch different stuff and all share, but I thought it was reasonable for how much we got.

Ugh!! I was so excited to try this place! Birthday dinner to go please! Ordering was a breeze. Didnt wait very long. Then I get home with my order. . .now Im not an oceanographer, but Ive never seen anything like it. My snow crab was covered in. . .brown spots strongly resembling sesame seeds or tiny eggs! Definitely not seeds, they wouldnt wipe off easily. Trypophobia is f-ing REAL! So grossed out I Googled it. Sea leech larva or barnacles, whatever! Ok bet, so basically they werent cleaned properly or at all?? Funny because no pictures on Yelp or Google Review show anything like it on anyone elses food! Maybe I got played because it was a Take Out order. Thanks. And of course they were closed by time I made my discovery. Im grossed out & hungry. Happy Birthday to me.

Their cajun seafood boil is the best. I always order shrimp or snow crab legs. Its always fresh. Their fried chicken is great and so is their shrimp fried rice. I eat here at least once a week

Love some Cajun Boil but unfortunately multiple things went wrong while we were eating here. First, we asked for our food “to go” and they gave us dine in instead. This was not a big deal, however, we didn’t get any crab crackers and had to ask for them. We also chose to substitute out clams with EXTRA mussels; we instead got NO mussels at all (waitress also forgot to mention an extra charge for substitutions). Last but not least, we noticed a customer come in to complain that the past 3 times they had came in they either got sick or had some sort of mistake in their order. Our food tasted good so I’ll give it at least one star for that but everything else should have been fixed and/or covered while we were at the restaurant.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! Waitress Sasha was her name only came on her own to the table twice once to give us the food. Then about 45mins later to see if it was good. We were there for 2hrs. Spent alot of money and every time we needed something we had to get up&find her. From water refills to asking other questions. Waitress (Sasha) was very snarky& condescending. Worst service ever! She shouldnt be in customer service if she cant atleast fake to be polite and provide customers w/a good experience. But food was AMAZING!!

We seem to go here often. The food is good when its good, but the seafood boils can be super inconsistent. Ordered the King Crab boil last week and it had a lot of shrimp, only 2 mussels, and clams so small we couldnt tell the difference between them and the onions in the sauce. But somehow, we keep going!

This is a great restaurant. Took my family here and had the seafood combo #4 raging caujin flavor and salt and pepper wings. Waitress name was Brittany and was very polite and made sure our order came out hot and quickly. She came by often to ask if we needed anything and it was delightful. Will definitely return for the great food and awesome service. Tipped her very well for her great service and pretty smile!!

The environment here was great it and beautiful! Very spacious, and delicious food! We ordered the combo meal #4, honey walnut shrimp, steamed rice, and garlic green beans. All of it was delicious, well cooked, and well portioned! It was yummy, and even my 3 year old little one who is a picky eater was eating the food! She primarily ate the rice, shrimp, and the honey walnut shrimp which at other restaurants she doesn’t eat any of that. When you order from here you not only paying for the food, but also for the lovely environment, and the customer service! The staff their is very friendly, and they make sure the customers all happy with their meal. They also make sure they refill your drinks whenever you need it, and are very kind! I would definelty recommend this place to others, and will be a repeat customer.

This was the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of being to in a while. The food was really good, my waiter was really nice and did their job perfectly. All in all 10/10 would make a regular eating spot if I had enough money to constantly go out and eat.

We were out and about on a Saturday afternoon and decided to grab lunch somewhere different. Passing by Asian n Cajun we decided to give it a try. Place looks small from the outside, but is much bigger than youd expect. Decor is very seafood style with a splash of cajun/country. Menu was very diverse including many Asian dishes and Cajun as well. We went more Cajun for lunch and hooked up some fish and chips, fried shrimp basket and a Cajun garlic fries appetizer, which were grubbin! The fish, shrimp and rings were pretty damn tasty as well. They let us substitute some tempura vegetables for the fries with the fish and the veges rocked. A variety of like 7 dips were provided with everything and the service was very good. All in all another place marked on our list that we will visit again.

I want to give more stars because my walnut shrimp and fried rice was great. We were there with a party of 7 and most people really liked what they got. The downside was 2 people in our party were immediately in the bathroom once we got home. The other downside, one waiter was really great, the other not so much. He forgot one thing we ordered, made rude comments about a pitcher of soda we had at our table even though it was the other waiters idea to bring it to us. It was just a weird experience with him but the other guy was fabulous. So, while the food was pretty good, I think this can be a hit or miss.

Wife and I came here based on a local neighborhood app recommendation. Didnt disappoint! Tasty food, good variety of Asian favorites and some Cajun style dishes. We will definitely be back. Much larger restaurant inside than it looks like from the parking lot.

As all the other 5 star reviews can tell you, this place is AMAZING - came here for the first time today with my fiancé and we bought a ton of food, the food was incredible, the service was incredible, the environment is awesome and better yet... the price is amazing, we got a table full of food and it was only $36.. how insane is that? I was full on expecting to be paying $75+ for our food today, but he handed me the receipt and it said $36.. I was convinced it was a mistake.Incredible work! Incredible place to eat!

Okay food.Reason for rating is that when a customer expresses a concern, don’t blame them for what happened.When something is ordered on the lowest level spice (which as a repeat customer I know what I’m looking for for) and it comes out almost inedible due to spice, don’t tell me that I have a low tolerance. I expressed that when ordering. “I want almost no spice, don’t like spicy” I don’t understand how I can be more clear.Don’t tell me to order something different the next time and deal with what I have this time. The item was brought out. When asked about it I was told, know for next time.Well unfortunately for you, there won’t be a next time. One star is valid. I paid my entire meal and tipped more graciously than I should have for my experience.But you have lost me as a customer.Feel free to dine on my meal that was left at the table. I didn’t eat

When it comes to clam, mussel, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, crab (king, dungeness, snow), lobster and Chinese food this is the place! 4 combo seafood bags to choose from. Clean environment, friendly staff not to mention their Chinese food plates during lunch are cheap. Cheaper then Panda Express and filling. I have yet to be disappointed in to go orders and dine in.

My husband and I visited this place last month. The food here tastes amazing! The reason they get 4 stars is because when I got the Szechuan Shrimp, there, literally, were only 5 pieces of shrimp and a bunch of veggies. My husband ordered a chicken dish and the same goes for him. But it all tasted amazing. They just shouldnt skimp on the meat/seafood.

I was a loyal customer to this restaurant until they ommitted something from my order and offered no proper or professional resolution to the matter. In addition, when I called to resolve the matter, and spoke to the rep, upon informing her that sausage I ordered in the clam broil bag I purchased was NOT present, not even ONE PIECE, she automatically became defensive stating that maybe the delivery driver dipped into it, which I informed her was obviously impossible as the bag is sealed and there is no need to create a story. I informed I was always pleased with the quality of the food and had no issues, after many orders, until now. She fumbled on her words in a response. I informed her that I have been a loyal customer of theirs and have had NO issue until now, but being the magnitude of it, had to address it. She was completely unprofessional and dismissing a a very loyal customer, UNTIL NOW! For she has cost that establishment my business. I will go BACK TO The Boiling Crab. This is what happens when you TRY and support local business! They show WORSE than corporate in dealing with issues!

We went for Dungeness crab and they didnt have any. We were disappointed and ended up just ordering an appetizer which was delicious. The decor looks as though it was previously a sandwich shop but its clean and freshly painted. The staff are inviting and attentive. We will definitely be trying them out again.

Tried this restaurant for the first time with my parents on Fathers Day. We absolutely loved it. Overall food was great, we had mussels, schezuan beef, garlic noodles, walnut shrimp (with pecans not walnuts) and pot stickers. The food was great, as well as the service, but I do have suggestions! Serving spoons are needed, all we had were our personal forks! (Just my wife and I so no big deal) also I would prefer that my complete meal come out together with exception of appetizers and empty plates cleared once we were finished so we could enjoy our beer and conversation. Its the small things that make a place memorable!!!

I was in the area and wanted to pick up some food. Based off the reviews here, I went with the Mongolian beef and house chow mein. Ordered pot stickers just cause I love them. Called in my order and it was ready in 15 minutes. The reviews regarding the beef were definitely on point. Tasty, spicy and saucy! I thought the chow mein was dry but I just mixed it in the pile of sauce from the beef. Portions were huge! I had enough for dinner and two lunches; Except the pot stickers - I finished those bad boys in one sitting. Sooooo good! Staff was friendly and decor looked inviting and clean.

UPDATE: 4-11-19 decided to give it another try. Server was friendly, again, but was the only one serving the entire restaurant including door dash orders. My food came and I was finished before my husband got his food or our appetizers was served. Food was just ok. It sucked to eat seperately.

I ordered 1.5 lbs of snow crab, the half pound steamed on the side for the kids, when I got my crab mine came as usual and the kids got 2 claws and a leg. Ok. So i proceed to take my crab out and lo and behold 2 claws and a leg are missing. Way to go, big brains. Flavors are good, and the price is decent but Im boycotting for the rest of my life because Im petty.

This place is pricey but fantastic & worth every cent. Always order the garlic noodles but the garlic fries are good too. The General Tsos is great, the Mongolian beef is probably the best thing on the menu. The fresh steamed rice & hot tea are both excellent. Chicken lo mein is superb. My family eats here a lot because its close but its also very fast & the food quality is incredible. Id go as far as to say its the best Asian food Ive had in the Citrus Heights/Fair Oaks/Orangevale area. I just wish they would lower their prices a bit. If they did wed eat there even more frequently. I hope this place thrives. They deserve it. Easy 5* restaurant.

Very poor customer service. The store is cutting on staff and overworked very tired and not anymore smiling. Server named Onin didn’t inform that there’s a lot of delivery orders, and Need to wait more than 30 minutes to get served, it’s about 30 mins before closing and need to rush to eat your food. It’s a mess for a first try and no plans to come back to this branch ever again.
