Ate 8 Dumpling & Noodle is delicious. I met my father for Father’s Day dinner. We met ½ way and Barstow was the place. I got there before he did and noticed how many people were coming in and out for pickup. I can understand why. We had the shrimp and noodle plates. Potstickers with Hot and Sour soap. It was all excellent. Lupe helped us and recommended the plates we ate. Ate 8 have plenty of seating with great music in the background. Hot sauce and dumpling sauce with all type of smoothies available. We were filled up. Next time I will try the Mango smoothie. This is our new meeting place in Barstow. It is 3 minutes away from the Barstow outlets. Great Food!

I’m not real impressed. I ordered the 8 dumplings and Hot and Sour Soup. The dumplings were hard on the edges and not sealed at all the meat falls out when you pick them up. The soup was good. Not an Asian chef here and it shows I’ve had better dumplings at cheap Chinese restaurants.

Were craving for a Chinese food in a while now then found this place that was accessible for us trucker. They have 10% discount for trucker to. Food was ok. Ill be honest they need to improve the broth of the Ramen. They should also remove the ground beef from the rice, make it plain or fried garlic and green onion. Stop using a frozen dumplings also. I give then 4star 🌟 because of the food that imported that I miss and she give us a great customer service. Bathroom was clean.

I ordered the Braised Beef Noodle and the flavor was amazing the first time I tried it. The beef didn’t have any fat which is how I prefer, but since then I have ordered it about 3 or 4 times and each time the flavoring has been different.I also tried out the Chicken Fried Rice and it ended up being one of my favorites. The Chicken Fried Rice was also pretty good when I poured the braised beef noodle soup on it.I didn’t give them a 5 star because of the lack of customer service sometimes. I have visited this location more than once and wasn’t greeted nor acknowledged until they were ready to take my order on multiple occasions. A simple “Welcome” or …”Be right with you.” Can go along way. All in all though this is a good spot with good food full of flavor.

Located just a short distance from the outlet mall and has truck parking nearby. This place has to have the best Tom Yum soup Ive ever eaten in my life! The portion size was great too because I had enough for a second meal/snack. My husbands food was a little bland and lacked flavor, but overall it was ok. The restaurant is clean and well kept.

As a trucker Ive been coming thru Barstow quite often. This time I had my wife with me and we decided to come here and enjoy some Asian cuisine. What a mistake! The place itself is as warm and welcoming as a train station. The cashier was friendly but not a big help. My wife had a shrimp noodle soup. What we got was a watery broth with some spaghetti in it, tasteless, as if filled with dish washing water! My fried rice with chicken was not bad but for $17 an outrage! Every Chinese restaurant I could have gotten that for $6.99. All in all $30 wasted! Avoid at all cost, especially since there are great alternatives around!

Out here in Barstow, besides Caucasian food, you can barely find ethnic food that’s authentic - meaning ethnic foods that are usually made by other races. But not this one - this store speaks authentic Taiwanese cuisine and flavours.Taiwanese food is a rarity in America. They exist far less than other Asian foods say Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese. But out here, virtually middle of nowhere, I can’t find proper Japanese, I can’t find Korean, I can’t find Vietnamese, but I found this rare gem out in the desert.The taste is a solid 4-star in a Taiwanese food critic’s(yours truly) eyes, but it’s heavenly for me because you can’t find another in a hundred-mile radius. For the boss lady’s courage to open a rarely known ethnic food out here, I add another star for her.I highly recommend anyone who loves trying ethnic food to give it a shot - you won’t regret it.

Sorry but front cashier has the worst customer service. The food wasnt any better. We left most of it behind. Ordered shrimp chaomein, noodles were greasy when asked for new shrimp because they were over salted got new order with bland undercooked shrimp. Coffee smoothies tasted like spoiled milk was used. Figures since it looked like very little traffic comes this way. Veggie noodle soup broth had no taste and noodles were not rice noodles. Spent over $40 for 2 adults and 1 child. I should have just gone to Panda.

The food feels very Americanized and lacks a lot of the spice typically is found in ramen and other noodle bowls, and the chili oil even is much less spicy than expected but its nonetheless good food. Lots of various Asian snacks available for purchase and the Thai tea boba was good. This will definitely be added to the list of frequent places for me to visit as I pass through Barstow.

Mahjong themed Chinese noodle house with selections of boba and smoothie drinks. Overall,, pretty authentic and delicious, and a clean and pleasant experience.For the 3 of us, we had triple appetizers with pigs ears, cucumbers, and seaweeds, a Thai ice tea, smoothie, and we had 2 number 1 (regular beef noodle soup) with regular and glass noodles, and a number 7 noodles with dumplings, they were all very tasty.It came out to about $50, seems a little pricey for noodles lunch in Barstow, but much better than a quick burger on the road.

We were on our way to Vegas when we decided to stop at Barstow for super late lunch. I was surprised to find a Taiwanese place in the area. Since we were craving Chinese food, we decided to eat there. The restaurant is big with lots of tables and it was clean. We ordered & paid our food at the cashier. After about 10 mins, they called us to get our food. The price was a bit pricier than the usual Taiwanese place.- Deep fried pork chop with rice: pork chop was crispy but some pieces were overcooked. My hubby didn’t finished it since it was too tough. But the flavor was good though- Wonton noodle soup: ok. It was a decent noodle soup. The noodle was cooked well. The wonton was lack of flavor but they gave quite a bit of wonton pieces. The soup was kinda blah.

Got the chicken fried rice and a milk tea boba. The rice was good, at whats you would expect for a $10 plate. I would give the boba a miss if you’re particular, the texture was off and drink itself not especially flavorful. Service was good.

I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes for a memorable Asian dining experience. However, my encounter left much to be desired. The chicken in the chicken and shrimp plate was excessively fried and dry, requiring an excessive amount of sweet and sour sauce to make it palatable. Additionally, the shrimp was missing from my order, necessitating a separate request.The rice dish, topped with a meat mixture, failed to impress, offering a lackluster combination of flavors. Moreover, the shoyu ramen lacked the authentic shoyu essence, resembling a plain chicken broth instead.Even the black tea boba, a simple pleasure I frequently enjoy elsewhere, proved disappointing. The boba lacked the customary dark color and had an unpleasant taste, raising concerns about the tea used. If this restaurant were open in LA area, it’s be a 2/5. Since this is the closet Taiwanese/Chinese food you can get in the area and beggars can’t be choosers, thus I give it a 3 star.The fried chicken is definitely not what I expected - it’s neither popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞）nor fried chicken filet (雞排）and they don’t have the right seasoning. The fried chicken was too old and crunchy that it’s probably more of an American flavor.Spicy wonton is meh. The filling tastes very strange that I don’t know what kind of meat they use, perhaps chicken or pork giblets?

The braised beef noodle soup is so good! Its my go to every time. The atmosphere it what youd expect for a pit stop so not the best but the cashier was so friendly so that helped. Unfortunately there was a sewage odor throughout the place while I was there which made me have to rush to get out of there but on a normal day its a good place to eat by the outlets.

My family ate there on our way back to LA from Death Valley. Not sure what the one star ratings were about but according to our experience this time and given the location, we all thought the food was excellent; I love the pork chop rice especially. It’s more like a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and pick up your food when it’s ready. We’ll definitely come back if we ever need to stop by Barstow again. If you enjoy authentic Taiwanese/Chinese food and are passing by, this is the place for you. I think maybe even better than some if not many of the Chinese restaurants down in SoCal.And yes, the restaurant closes at 8pm. You can call and order take out if you can arrive between 7:45-8:00pm.

If if ever you are on your way up to Las Vegas from interstate 5 or coming back from Las Vegas highly recommend you stop to get some Asian food you will not and I repeat will not be disappointed. Staff was friendly, it was clean, they have a lot of over seas snacks and drinks (if truckers want to try something new.) They give you a 10% discount if you show your cdl, for veterans, and police. What a nice find for the drive back and forth to Las Vegas! The flavor isnt so greasy and salty like in some places. Its perfect for those traveling with kids with noodles, rice, dumpling, wonton, and soup. There is a high chair, changing table, clean table, and multiple stall restrooms. The food is worth the value. The beverages and snacks here is a wide variety cross multiple cultures. Ill definitely return here!

My husband and I stopped to have something to eat while traveling from CA on our way home before it got too late. I wanted to have Asian wonton soup and thought you really can’t go wrong with soup, but they did. Broth was tasteless, tiny wontons with negligible filling and massive amount of noodles. Weve always enjoyed dining there, but the last two times, we have been disappointed by their customer service. We have no complaints about the food. On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we were their first customers. The womens restroom did not have any soap and there was toilet paper only in one stall. There was toilet paper on the floor, the trash cans were not emptied from the night before, and the entire bathroom smelled like sewage. The mens was also dirty and smelled like sewage. Today, 12/17, we went there again and the cashier wasnt even wearing a mask...not on his face at all. We wont be eating there anymore.

I reserve 5 stars very exceptions places so four stars is a great eating from me.The quality of the food is authentic and very, very good. I read some of the low ratings and I have to say those people simply do not know what they are talking about.The prices are very reasonable, the service was fast and the guy who took care of us at the counter was as friendly and helpful as you could ask for.The dining room, counter and bathrooms are gleaming and clean.All in all, a very good choice for a quick, delicious and inexpensive meal while on the road.

Best thing here is the braised beef noodles. Their dumplings a bit dry and tastes like theres only meat and little spices and herbs. Our family of three was delighted to find this restaurant with authentic Taiwanese favorites for lunch! The portion sizes were very nice and the flavors reminded us of our parents’ homecooking . I was skeptical at first because although the place is new and clean, the area looked mostly abandoned except for this restaurant.We got the food and it was actually good! I’m Asian and love all Asian food. This place was gross and they had poor attention to detail. For example, the hot water for tea was lukewarm at best. The noodle soup came out with parboiled noodles. When we brought it up to the server, she checked the water temp and confirmed that the water was not at the right temperature for cooking noodles. They only offered to bring out more noodles. No effort was made to make it right. I would definitely not recommend this place. This is not authentic Asian food and it’s not even edible food. Stay clear of this place. Save yourselves!

Customer service is horrible here. Food tastes mediocre and can be compared to eating a TV dinner. Eating at Panda across the way would be better. Whom serves succotash with Taiwanese food?! Sauces don’t have any flavor. Cook forgot an order that I paid for and then blames me as the customer. Asked for manager and the blame continues even when I show him the receipt. Spring rolls were not cooked all the way inside;uncooked goey wrapper tasting the dough as you bite into it. Fried chicken was made with dark pieces of meat-Kentucky Fried Chicken would do a better job. You don’t taste any of the Asian flavors. I will not be returning here and will take my service somewhere else where we are appreciated and where there’s more flavor in the food.

I had the beef stew noodles and the food was actually pretty decent. Most items were priced at $8.88 in an effort to appeal to the asian demographic as thats considered a lucky number. Portion size was smaller than average but sufficient unless youve got a appetite. So why then didnt I rate the place higher?The place had arrangements for international tour groups on tour buses to stop there for meals presumably on the way to and from Vegas. The trouble is 50 or more people then descend on the restaurant at one given time. The restaurant isnt well set up to handle that type of volume.There arent enough cash registers or staff taking orders to make the line move quickly. This caused the line to start snaking into the main eating area. Even if the staff could take orders quickly I dont think the kitchen could catch up. We probably waited more than 15 minutes for our order of three bowls of noodles.Tensions were high sometimes as people were concerned about missing the bus while waiting for their food. The staff didnt do their part to help.

It was a delight to find some authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup during our pitstop in Barstow. The noodles had a delicious texture, and the broth was rich and filling. Definitely hit the spot. For the only Asian food noodle place out here, they are pretty good. They have everything in picture and in combos so its easy to order. Next to the cash register is a little stand of snacks from Japan and Taiwan that you can get those are pretty good.Think the noodles have a little too much MSG in them, you might get thirsty after eating a bowl . Ate8 is like an oasis in the middle of the desert, literally. This is the only place I know of in the area to get some good Asian food. Everything Ive tried has been really good, the dumplings are awesome. They have great soup and the crispy fried porkchop is great also. The prices are pretty reasonable, much of the menu is $8. We have to stop here every time we go to Las Vegas, its the best!

I give it a 4 star review, because there is not a lot of variety & everything is priced $8.88. My son & I had the potstickers & beef noodle bowl. The potstickers were flavorful and you were served 4. The beef & broth were very tasty, with the beef being very tender. The longer the noodles sat in broth the better they got. I took home half my noodle bowl. We will definitely be back.
