Bamboo Fresh Thai Cuisine in La Mesa

I got veggie curry with sticky rice. I usually order red curry as a starter if it’s my first time attending a restaurant since it’s a pretty standard dish. I read the reviews & rating before coming so maybe my expectations were too high but the curry lacked flavor a bit with a thinner consistency. If you like spicy def go higher than 6. I asked for 6 but my lid read 4 so Ig they just misheard me so mine wasn’t spicy at all. I’m willing to give the place another try. The service was great. Atmosphere was intimate.

We had a really delicious dinner with a bottle of Dr. Loosens riesling (with frosted glasses and an ice bucket)! We had crab angel appetizers, tom khar soup with duck, avocado chicken green curry, and spicy eggplant with duck. It was all superb! Thank you for the food and kind service!!

There was a parking lot so don’t worry about parking! We spent about 60$ for the two of us but you can get really full with 10-20$ per person!This was our first visit but I’m telling you it is a really great place!! The whole atmosphere in the restaurant was great! The cute decorations and music were really relaxing! The staff is so friendly and they kept checking on us and brought us water frequently.The bamboo basket is really good! It was really crunchy, fresh and tasty, the two sauces that came with it were perfect to go with, I especially love that there were two little spoons by the sauce so you won’t get everywhere messy.We had the spicy level 4 green curry and it was really spicy for us but so goood! It’s really flavorful and you can taste the creamy coconut in it!I had a medium rare Tiger Cry Steak but it was too well done and too dry for me, but besides that the vegetables that came with it were fresh and well cooked, the mint sauce was really good too!We loved our dessert!!! The mango sticky rice is a little different than any other mango sticky rice I’ve had before, it’s a little salty and a little sweet, it’s a good balance and you gotta try it yourself!!

Seriously, wow!!! This place is a shining gem of La Mesa. I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of service, given the very much hole-in-the-wall nature, but everything was sincerely top notch. Service was absolutely stellar, much better than many, much larger restaurants I’ve eaten at in SD lately. The food was phenomenal, and the presentation was beautiful as well. We ordered the yellow curry fried rice as well as the avocado chicken green curry, which both came out gorgeously plated. I was too excited to start eating, I forgot to take pictures! The prices are great as well. Very generous portions. Excited to try the sticky mango rice next time! I can’t wait to dine in again—as well as pick up some takeout in the future🤩Thank you very much for an incredibly warm and friendly experience, from one service industry professional to another!

This place has to be one of the best Thai restaurants around the area! Their food is delicious, their staff is very nice and attentive, and the prices are as you would expect. Their menu also has a ton of items to choose from. Ive been here twice so far and will definitely be returning in the near future.

Really delicious Thai food, and I am a tough critic, and really phenomenal prices, which is hard to find! These are pictures of the hot spicy basil entrée. I would also like to add that this is one of the only Thai places that actually listened to the level of spice that I requested. 👍

The pad see iw with tofu and level 6 🥰The customer service is always amazing. Very friendly, patient, attentive, and welcoming. Recently got super into Thai food and tried a few different spots but I stopped. I found my spot and i love it. I order from here like twice a week. I should just get a job here.

The food is really tasty. The lunch menu is great with lots of choices. The chicken pad thai is one of my favorites 🍽❤ The curry puffs are a must try, I kid you not!!! I’m drooling just thinking about them🤤 Everything was yummy and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

It was our first time eating here, the ambiance was cozy, it was just a small restaurant. The food was great. We had fried calamari, chicken pad thai, sticky mango rice and thai iced tea. My husband liked the calamari, and we ended up ordering 2 of it. The server was very nice and considerate.We would definitely come back here!

Great service, great food. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive, we felt very comfortable and safe (covid protocols). The food was very tasty and the price seemed fair, our orange chicken even came with desert included.
