Vegetarian platter was excellent. Naan, rice and 2 sabjis with dessert. The veg tikka masala and palak paneer were delicious. Dessert was a let down. The rice was grainy. I loved the mulligatawny soup. Hot and spicy just like we wanted it. I would highly recommend this place.

The food was decent, definitely a different set up than usual. The mango lassi, though, tasted like it had a dash of pineapple juice in it. A little bit acidic. The service was.....questionable but friendly. Overall, it wasnt downright terrible but my first impressions of this place are not good.

While driving through the Bay Area we decided to stop in Navato to grab some dinner.Batika India Bistro is where we ended up and I’m glad we did.We both ordered the chicken curry and it was phenomenal. Some of the best curry I’ve had. They brought out some garlic flan to go with the meal. Such a wonderful experience

Do not order food from this restaurant, it way to expensive for just okay food. I love Indian food and have been to several Indian restaurants and every single one gives you rice with a entree except for this one. They dont even explain on their website that entrees do not come with rice. Instead they charge you an extra $5 for a small portion of rice.

The place was nice, only one person serving the food. It’s not authentic Indian food but definitely good for folks who like less spicy Indian. Tried fun biriyani and it was more or like the regular pulao with chicken. Breads are good. Naan and parathas are ok.

Very Tasty!! Ordered the Achari Eggplant and Subzi Malabar - both were good, but the eggplant was the favorite. Nice service and a cute patio.

Good food. Appreciated the fact that no artificial food coloring was used to cook. Speaks well of the chef and his confidence in his cooking. Doesnt need artistry to make it look good but focusses making it taste good. Well done!

The food is simply below average.I got the kebab platter, lamb dish, and chicken biryani.Kebab Platter - Chicken was dry. Lamb was so chewy, I didnt bother.Lamb Dish- No coherent flavor profile. Just a bunch of spices dumped with onions and ginger garlic.Chicken Biryani - Probably the best of the three. Chicken actually wasnt tough and the flavor was good. Rice was overcooked and not how they should be in a biryani.Salty and Greasy seems to be the theme. Seriously, thats not what Indian food should be like.If youre looking for Good indian food and dont mind a drive try out:Prabh Kitchen in Mill ValleyClay Oven and Grill in VacavilleMasala Dosa in San Francisco. In my experience theres not a single half-decent Indian restaurant in Novato or San Rafael.I have nothing to gain, Im just a very picky eater.

What I like about this place is the quality of the ingredients. The salad is super fresh. Even the fresh melon offered was sweet and just ripe. All the main dishes were excellent too. Curried cauliflower, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and today a spicy fish curry! They don’t use any frozen veggies in the curries, etc., either. It’s $12.97 including tax for all you can eat at lunch. Pleasant atmosphere. Good find!

Ordered the Chicken Dum Biryani to go (I work down the street) from the online menu said it was $10.50, I show up and they charge me 15.14. No plate, No fork, no napkin. Barley any chicken.. about 3 bite size pieces. I basically paid 15.14 for a bowl of rice.
