Went to boiling point today. Got the beef order. Came with either glass noodles or white rice. I got the noodles. With the beef order I got hot for spice level. I love spicy food so the hot was good, want super spicy but spicy enough to feel it, and if you swallow the food wrong you will for sure cough. They also had soup refill. They also gave complimentary drinks, either a black tea or green tea on ice. I got the black tea and It was slightly which was perfect. The food was delicious would def come here again.

Came here for dinner and it was just ok. The food was ok, decent size restaurant. The waiter brought us water and one of them was half full. Didnt understand why it was only half full. Once the food we order came, the waiter never came back to check up on us. We were trying to get our waiters attention, but he never looked our way and I was needing water.

Great selections of hot pots from many different countries such as Taiwan, Korea, Thailand.... My favorite choice is the House Special and if you love spicy food, their Taiwanese Spicy hotpot is second to none. Boba milk tea is something new and in certain cases better than some other local boba house.

4 of us were there last night at 6pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy. We were quickly seated and ready to order. All of us are orental vegetarian which means no animal products, no garlic and no onion. We quickly learnt that they only have 3 orders of the vegetarian pot left and they don’t have any steam stinky tofu left. They sold out the night before and new order won’t be here for another couple days. Given we ordered veggie pots, I honestly don’t know why it takes couple days for order vegetables. And no substitute is alllowed on any of their menus. I can only skip the things I am allergic to but no substitute. Most of the dipping sauce they offered has garlic in there so we ask for basic soy sauce. It’s my assumption that all Chinese restaurant should have soy sauce. No surprise: we got no again. The store manager explained that it’s company policy that all their dishes should go with the 4 dipping sauces and only the 4. I can’t image how a restaurant can operate with such limited flexibility given different customers have different preference, allergy and food etiquette. This place is definitely not for people with food allergy and not for orential vegetarians.

Arrived at 21:30. Both of restrooms were broken. Had to go to a nearby store to use it. Even WORSE, they told me that they ran out of rice! An Asian resterant without rice?!!!! Thats really nice : )Photo: rice replacement. Very cool. Because I am eating Taiwanese super spicy pot. 🙄

My wife and I were happy because for the first time there was no waiting list and several tables available at the BOILING POINT!!Sure enough it all made sense at the end, this is the first time that no one approached to check on us nor to offer us more soup.I am not an expert on napa cabbage but it does not look like premium cabbage.If you think this restaurant is good, please visit the one on 250 W Valley Blvd UNIT J, San Gabriel, CA 91776 or 250 W Valley Blvd UNIT J, San Gabriel, CA 91776 and you will understand what I mean.

I ordered large seafood hot pot and shared it with my mom. The size was just right for the both of us. It came with a drink, you can choose from green or black iced tea. The soup was so good, our seafood hot pot comes with octopus, 2 shrimps, clams, fish ball, fish fillet, vegetables and thin slices of pork meat.

The first time I went to this store the food was awesome. Now a couple of years have past I feel like the food is lacking. Its not a quick bite to eat but the food comes out pretty quick. I feel like the flavors are lacking the last time I went. I keep going back hoing it will be better but it doesnt seem to be that way. It comes it to be around $20.00 a person with drink and tips. It used to be worth it but not so much now. Ill still go back when Im craving hot soup but there are other options. The staff is nice but can take some time to flag then down.

First time visiting this place. The glass front door was very dirty and the bench seats with fabric was dirty. The metal seats uncomfortable and it is winter and it was very cold inside. I went to the car to get my jacket after I asked if they could adjust the temp a little. They didnt. So in that aspect it wasnt good. Now for the food.I ordered a number 4 and a ginger hot tea, both were wonderful.Would I go again? Yes, but I hope the owners would do something to clean and update.

AWFUL SERVICE!!! The staff called William At this location (2020 S Hacienda Blvd, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745) refused to change my set of sauce into one type while all the other locations do all the time like Pasadena and Arcadia. He told me that they never do this which they did every time I ordered there and all their customers mix three types of their sauce together to go with their hot pot which is unconvincing. And I told him I’ve been their customer for more than 5 years. They always change the sauce for my takeout order. YOU KNOW WHAT?? He asked me to show him the photo proof of the sauce the other locations changed for me . This is not how you treat your loyal customers!!!

Used to go there a lot. My friends and I like their hotpot and drinks (especially Hokkaido milk tea!). Also, they are very innovated, keep discovering and introducing new pots to customers. However, although we like their food and drinks but their price keeps getting higher and higher...to a point where we think going to other hotpot places might be more worthy T.T

Boiling Point is not for everyone. As a hot pot place, its decent, but as a STINKY TOFU hot pot place, its awesome!One of my favorite places to lunch because until 3pm, the individual pots are $8.99 and you get a drink of your choice (LOVE the green tea!). They dont allow any substitutions, but they offer a variety of standard hot pot extras that you can add. Everyone gets their own pot, and there are about 7-8 to choose from, including ones without stinky tofu for those who like to be deprived.All the servers seem a bit emo, but dont sweat it. Theyre super nice, even if theyre a bit slow during busy hours. Make sure to get a frequent customer card before you leave. 10 stamps and you get a pot for free!One lucky day, they had the Jay Chou CD on repeat... Jay Chou + Stinky Tofu = HEAVEN :)

I love this place. Its not cheap, and was slightly bummed out that when you order soda, it comes warm with a glass of ice. For the price,( three of us and drinks came out to like seventy dollars with tip) you would think that all the soft drinks were chilled.

I used to frequent this location every other week when my bf lived in Hacienda Heights. We still come through when were in the area or having lunch with his family, but i like it because its a quick lunch spot and theres rarely a wait. You heard right! Almost little to no wait on most occasions. This is a rare sighting for us now since Irvine is our closest location.Another positive note, service is mostly good. There are a few hiccups when you need more soup or have a question about the menu, but they mostly get it right about 90% of the time.Ive had my fair share of almost everything on the menu here. My favorites have been the Seafood & Tofu, Japanese Miso, Beef and House Special. If you come through for lunch, you get a choice of green/black tea and it comes fairly sweetened. Im not sure if you can ask for adjustments, but it doesnt hurt to ask.I typically do vermicelli with soup. For sauce, my go to ratios have been 2 part garlic bean sauce, 2 part soy sauce and 1 part chili oil. Sometimes I add more chili oil if I want to add more spice since I usually do mild soup base! but there are like, 4 levels of spicy to choose from if you can handle it.Overall, I like how everything is in one bowl so you can just eat as you like. If you need to, you can alway ask to turn off the fire, or if you eat slow like me, you may want to see if they can add more flames if it goes out. Sometime Ill add sides of veggies, but for the most part, the soups are well portioned with everything you may need.

This is my favorite place when it comes to something soup and spicy. They have unique different style of soup and meats. I love the fact that you can ask for extra soup with no charge, and additional meats incase you want some add ons. Their tea is very unique such a good taste very competitive among other tea store there. They give free cold tea drinks during lunch time.

This place is GREAT! For any Latinos out there imagine hot caldo served at your table. Its fun to enjoy with friends on rainy days. My company goes here at least twice a month, their lunch specials are very affordable. However, careful the wait in line can be mighty long.

I didn’t expect that I could eat the Taiwanese-style smelly hot pot here. I ordered the Taiwanese spicy hot pot. It was delicious and spicy enough. The pot comes with a portion of instant noodles and rice. Friends who like spicy food must try it. ! Although the price is a bit high, the taste and portion of the food are definitely satisfying!

After I went in and ordered the meal, the waiter disappeared. I couldnt find anyone when I wanted to order something more. I also couldnt find the waiter when I wanted to ask for more soup. When I wanted to pay the bill, I couldnt find the waiter. You guys? Also find a waiter to stand somewhere, otherwise you wont be able to find anyone when the time comes.

There are not many waiters, only three of them. Sometimes when they are busy, they will not see anyone. Both Google and Yelp showed that they close at 9:00 and the business hours were just updated two weeks ago. When I arrived at 7:50, I was told that they closed at 8:00. I was really speechless, but there were still many customers sitting in the store and there were even peoples dishes. I haven’t even gone to school. Can employees treat customers like this just to get off work early?
