Went in for lunch, nice atmosphere, clean and chilly...but it was a hot day so no complaints. The spicy chicken and beef bulgogi bibimbap was simmering in its stone bowl and delicious. The soft and tender pork buns were melt in your mouth goodness. Service was prompt. Highly recommend.

My order was 47?dollars, and I’m still hungry. Small portions. I added the jalapeños, and it’s my own Sriracha sauce/soy sauce. You have to pay for the kimchi as well. Not worth the money honestly, but flavor is good.

Absolutely amazing service and the food was even better. I love how they cook everything fresh and don’t mess around when it comes to seasoning! Everything is flavorful! You the owner is extremely friendly. The place was clean and spacious. Def would recommend to anyone.

I do not like the fact that the japchae did not indicate on the menu if it was her cold or warm I personally like cold and so was a surprise to me when it was warm and I would have been okay with it warm if it was well seasoned and flavored but it was neither and it tasted plain.The pork belly buns were awesome I could have had two plates of that.They also perfected the zucchini fries where the batter after it is fried is still stuck on the zucchini.The soju strawberry was awesome - very sweet and the alcohol kicks you / gives you a buzz within minutes I do recommend for its very addicting - maybe thats why it comes with a shot glass?!. LOLThe tuna bitmap was okay and nothing special.The kimchi was good.I personally opted not to have the chicken wings since I think thats a Korean street food and that the sauces is what it makes it sooo good.Service was very good. The metal chairs made this horrible sound similar to that feeling when someone drags their nails on chalkboard but only when youre moving it or adjusting your chair. The scraping sound against the the floor - made me cringe. I do wish that for their bench chairs had more cushion for the tushion, cuz I dont think its very comfortable sitting on a wooden flat bench.

Pretty dope spot. Nice atmosphere good staff, service was a tad bit lacking due to the fact that they were running only one server. Food was really good. I had of course chicken (boneless) and two orders of the rice. Definitely worth giving a shot if you’re in the mood for something tasty with a upbeat atmosphere. Great place for a bite with friends

Chicken was tasteless and dry. They didn’t put enough sauce on the chicken; that’s suppose to be the best part! The chicken strip, was not what I expected to be (small). Everything was bad except for the complementary side radish. With that price, I expect my chicken to be covered in sauce and flavor.

If you think you’ve had great chicken wings but haven’t eaten here, you are wrong. Their wings are next level. They are so crispy. I got half/half (spicy & soy garlic). Both are delicious. The spicy had me crying but I couldn’t stop eating them.

Ordered fried rice with bulgogi and was very disappointed. The rice was okay but there was almost no meat with it. I paid almost 20 dollars for okay fried rice and a sprinkle of meat. Definitely and rip off. The little bulgogi that I did try was dry and bland. Had I opened my food before I left the restaurant, I would have asked for my money back.

12/19/2022: First visit - Hubby wanted to try this place. The restaurant had a good menu of Korean food. We tried the pork belly buns, the combo fried chicken with pickled radish, kimchee, and beef bulgogi. Everything was outstanding! The pork buns were flavorful and rich. The meat just melted in your mouth. The combo chicken was half soy & ginger and half spicy. Each flavor had 5 wings (flat or drummette) and 5 legs. The chicken was fried perfectly, crunchy yet still juicy inside. The pickled radish was a nice accompaniment to cut through the fried food. Hubby loved the spicy kimchee. The beef bulgogi came in a sizzling hot plate and was very tasty.Service was quick and the staff were very friendly. They worked together to serve all the tables, making sure they were cleared and set for the next customer.Were looking forward to returning to try their other dishes.

Came here on a whim driving home through Stockton and was not disappointed at all!The wings are so good. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor. We got the family meal, it was plenty of food and a great price along with pork buns. My husband, who hates pork buns LOVED these. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area.

This place always had good chicken except for my order today. It was obvious the strips used was from either costco or winco the frozen kind, but smothered with their sauce. Very disappointed that they would serve this and think people wouldnt notice. It tasted nothing like the original.11/12/2021 - UPDATE:Went back to fresh chicken. But still only 3 stars. size is 1/2 of its original size.

Too bad they only have 2 flavors for their fried chicken. The Philippine branches had six flavors and this location does not serve my favorite honey garlic flavor. They also do not have the chicken chops. Their menu is a mix of mostly Korean and Japanese dishes. The soy garlic chicken is on point. The pot stickers were good but there was nothing extraordinary with their takoyaki. Id go back for the chicken.

Update: Tuesday, August 15, 2023 PMIt’s sad…this place has a lot of potential, but I’ve had issues the majority of the time. I’ve been served soggy chicken that was not fresh that I had to send back. Tonight I specified that my order be cooked fresh with extra sauce. The top few pieces of chicken did seem to be fresh but underneath, the drums were dried out and as hard as rocks!When I am paying good money, yes this stuff is expensive, I expect my dinner to be hot and fresh and cooked to order. I ordered online and picked up. My order was on time. Only one minor mistake of coleslaw on our tacos. I cant speak to authenticity, but the food was very tasty. My husband said they make a mean chicken katsu. I would recommend to a friend to try.

I used to love this place. I was there a couple months ago and like others noted, the sauce on the fried chicken is brushed on. Maybe they are trying to save money. But honestly I dont mind paying a little more for more sauce. The chicken used to be drenched in sauce and now the sauce is brushed on. I wont be going to this bon chon. Save your money.

The tteokbokki is worth the drive every single time! I come from Turlock to get it and omg it is always so good. The rice cakes are always soft and perfectly chewy, the sauce is perfectly spicy, the cheese is just everything, and ugh I love the gimmari, always fresh and crunchy. Saw mukbangs on tiktok of people eating the spicy rice cakes and you know how you see it and you have no idea what it is or what it tastes like but you instantly crave it lol? This satisfied every last bit of those cravings! Seriously try the rice cakes they’re to die for! And omg if you take the chicken and dip it in the sauce from the rice cakes, GAME CHANGER!

Didnt like that at all they should put in a minimum of 3 sauces with a Katsu chicken meal.The girl at the counter said they cost .95¢ A PIECE!!... Ill return but I really dislike places that dont give you enough condiments to cover your meal. Like 6 or 7 pieces of chicken 1 sauce👎🏿... Then wont give you more for free? We were on vacation and craving Korean flavor. Stopped here and soooo disappointed. No customers, quiet, and no one picking up orders either. We had just driven up from San Diego so we were starving. We asked if we could wash our hands as a lot of Korean food is hands on. We even gave a $7 tip on our order of $23 before trying the food. No Bathroom Service. Period. We just wanted to wash our hands and we made that clear. We went to a different eatery and asked if we could use their bathroom to wash our hands and they said yes so we purchased 2 sodas because we were thankful that they were nice to us. Went back and our food was still not ready after 20 minutes. I asked if our food was ready 5 minutes later and the girl rolled her eyes, walked over to the cooking area and our food had been sitting on the counter not bagged up yet. At 1 pm they were out of their signature dish! Dont waste your time coming here, or waste your money!

Hands down, one of the crispiest fried chickens you can find in Stockton. The flavors are delicious! The soy garlic is my go to because I cannot take too much hot and their spicy is SPICY🔥. Also, I believe you can tell alot about a restaurant by how they treat their sides. If the sides are bomb as well then you know their whole operation is on point. Bonchons cole slaw is by far the tastiest cole slaw. I would highly recommend you try this place!

I know not many people always leave tips because depending on service, and the atmosphere and sometimes personal opinions. But you know when you have a place where you always keep coming back and always leave a tip means that you are very satisfied with the place and the food and the quality here. This is one of the places that I do that. I always keep bringing family and friends to try BonChon, to try something new to them. They always leave satisfied with the service just like I have. It is great for get-togethers, big groups or small ones. To catch up with family for your friends and have a good time this is the place you need to be. Plus their chicken is HEAVEN!!!! But if you do not like any radishes, ask them to take it off when they serve you the chicken because they give it in a separate little bowl!!!

First things first, as a place to grab Korean style fried chicken this place just makes it to four stars which is why I gave them that rating at face value. That being said chicken is what they specialize in and the other items on the menu are incredibly mediocre for Korean fare. Follow this with no actual bonchon dishes being served and I would give this place a 2/5 or so in terms of a Korean restaurant. All in all I would eat here again because the fried chicken was good but I would not make the mistake of ordering other Korean dishes at this restaurant again. Also as noted by other reviewers the sauces are not offered on the side of the chicken if you preferred dipped fried chicken you will have to try another place.

They dont let you get the sauce on the side to dip because it is franchised and not wanting people to figure out the recipe (a copy cat recipe is online by the way)If you are really craving korean food besides the fried chicken.
