I had the opportunity to dine at California Pizza Kitchen in Valencia, California, and I must say that the service was consistently excellent. The staff ensured that our food was served promptly, and everything arrived at the table simultaneously, minimizing any wait time.However, its disappointing to note that there appears to be a rat problem in the area. This issue seriously hampers the overall dining experience and the ambiance of the restaurant. Despite the great service and hot food, the presence of rats is a significant concern that affects the overall enjoyment of the meal. Addressing this problem should be a top priority for the restaurant to maintain its reputation and customer satisfaction. The photographs are taken from inside the restaurant’s patio.

Great place to have a nice lunch or dinner. The pizzas are always good but they also have a nice drink menu with wines and liquor of all kinds. Restaurant is clean and service is good. Chicken Tequila fettuccine is delicious.

Set the table. Serve the food. We were served the salad without utensils. When we asked for utensils, two forks and two napkins were tossed on our table. We could have used a knife to cut the tough chicken and we had a hard time getting the salad onto our plates. The waiter was nice but we never saw him again. Until he brought the bill. The hostess was nice. She sat us quickly.

Waited 15 minutes to be greeted, another 10 for water. So 25 minutes to have anything on the table. Ordered right away, after waiting another 20 minutes, food came out very wrong twice! Ordered a burger for my kids with meat and ketchup only. Came out fully loaded. Sent it back came back with cheese. Sent it back to see they simply scraped the cheese off so some was left. My kids hate cheese. Two of the five spoons were dirty. Kids sundae listed at $1.79 on the menu, charged $2.99. Not one refill on drinks. Not one apology. Just awful.

We used to use CPK Tarzana, but switched to this location as we are closer now. The reason for my 5 stars, in spite of some small nuances that we love California Pizza Kitchen, for many reasons. One the salads always fresh. My favorite is barbecue chicken salad, and sometimes I replace with avocado that its as fresh as from the tree. I like the Thai Chicken, and California Veggie. The service is good as always.

This is the best pizza Ive had! I really love the BBQ chicken pizza with pineapple, and the Cauliflower crust is amazing!!!!!!!!! I went with my bestfriend and we got drinks too, I would highly recommend the new Tropical sangria! Or the sangria flight!! They were all very delicious!! Also, as soon as the season rolls around for it, I HIGHLY recommend their strawberry shortcake dessert!!! Its literally the best!! 5 stars to everything, cleanliness, service, food, drinks, price, etc!

I love CPK food but the Valencia location is the WORST. Not my first time having a bad experience with this location since the pandemic but specifically, tonight - the host said the wait was 15-20 minutes (after we repeatedly had to tell him we wanted to sit outside and he just didn’t understand). We waited more than 30 before being seated. Then we sat outside for more than 15 minutes and a server hadn’t even taken our drink order, they didn’t even say “I’ll be with you shortly.” Just ZERO service and we had our 2 small children with us. We left without eating or anything. Next time I want CPK egg rolls, we’ll be driving to the valley as I won’t be going back to Valencia again.

Long wait times to be seated even though there are open seats. Long wait time to be served. When food finally showed up it was cold. I dont recall there being a cold pizza option on the menu.Manager was slow and lackluster in response.The low energy employees could have been pushed to do a better job.It is a great brand to bad it is poorly represented at this location.

Quality of their shrimp scampi pizza was awful!!! Obviously whoever made our pizza didn’t take any pride in making a quality product. Carmelized onions just dump on a few slices and not evenly distributed over the pizza, and as you can see literally 7 whole shrimp are thrown on the pizza instead of being cut up and spread all over the pizza, and same with the arugula!!! I ordered thru DoorDash and requested a full refund as instructed by the CPK manager Harrison. If CPK was really into their customer service they should have offered a coupon or free appetizer on our next visit or something. If the consumer has to be patient with longer wait times and delivery due to COVID, then the product needs to be good! This was just poor laziness on the cook’seffort and the person responsible for quality control on pick/up and delivery orders! Shame on you CPK-you can do better!!!!!

This use to be one of our favorite lunch spots. The food is good and although they always seem to be short staffed the crew works real hard getting our food and drinks to us as soon as they can. Except for bread, they always seem to run out of bread. Why is that ?Also the patio area could use a good cleaning, none of us what to sit out there anymore, from the tables to the grounds it’s generally filthy. Just saying.

Number of items on the menu have been significantly reduced; dishes are not always consistently good; servers are very nice, but the restaurant may be understaffed. Its often a fall-back for dinner, but its a bit expensive for the type and quality of food.

Getting a table was not bad. After sitting, it took too long to be acknowledged by a server. The food quality has definitely gone down. Half of the pizza was burned and cold by the time it got to our table. CPK used to have a good quality control but I dont think they care about it anymore.

My grandpa had the shrimp pizza and judging by how the pizza looked the crust looked too thin and there was too much cheese on it. I had the fish tacos and it was okay like nothing bad but nothing exceptionally good. The sauce that went with the tacos is good.

Visited on a Thursday evening.This review is simply a plea for the organization to take a good look at the operating procedures and management responsibilities that are not obviously not being met.*Waited 20 Minutes for a table (No problem waiting)*Waited another 20 minutes to be greeted by a server (This is a problem). When we were finally greeted the waitress just looked at us and hesitated for a moment before saying anything. She was obviously overwhelmed and was not getting any help. None of the servers looked happy and seemed stressed as they were spread thin throughout the restaurant. The manager was talking to friends and walking around looking busy the whole time we were seated. Im sure part of the managers responsibility is to jump in and assist staff as needed; which was not happening.We asked for bread and were served stale pieces that were probably just sitting on the bread station for some time. Tables sat full of used dishes and we not being bussed as all. The floor was very filthy. I watched as a piece of bread and a napkin sat in the middle of a busy walkway and was not picked up as servers and the manager walked by many times. Becoming impatient with our drinks I happened to look toward the bartender as he ran his hands through his hair multiple times behind the counter. I was almost afraid to wash my hands in the bathroom as it was just as filthy as the floor in the dining area. Please take this review as constructive, step back and take a look at the issues at hand; management and failure to manage. I have dined at many CPK establishments but this might be the last. Its too bad because the food was actually ok; just ok.

Came in and sat at the bar behind the expiditer. Watch my pizza sit under heater for over 15 minutes while my friends meal was still not up. We asked for my pizza to be remade. We were met with not a kind response and listened to the back of house manager complain about us to the pizza chef. Food was very good. Service is terrible. They were in the weeds for an only half full restaurant. They didnt seem to be under staffed. Just ill manged.

The staff is very attention to detail. Always checking up at thw perfect time. I never mind waiting for a table as the atmosphere outside is beautiful. You can walk around a duck pond or walk over it on a bridge while feeding every duck. Ambiance is very tranquil.

Delicious food, slightly expensive but made fresh with great customer service. The Mushroom pizza was delicious, good balance between bread, cheese, and Mushroom. Light and fluffy bread, definitely recommend. Cesar salad was good. Salmon entree with roasted vegetables was good but not special. Spinach artichoke dip was good but not the best, wouldnt get again. California Colada drink was delicious, lighter than a normal piña colada but still very tasty, definitely recommend. Would come here again and to this location as well. Also, lunch gets pretty bush and food might take longer than usual to make but the staff hustles and are pretty kind.

We chose to eat outside. It was very breezy, so we were the only ones out there and were not visible from inside. Because of that, it took a while for us to be waited on. Once our waiter realized we were there, he was very good. The food was good. The drinks were good. The prices were a bit high but that seems to be the new normal. Additionally, you now pay by scanning a QR code, which is a hassle but its for contactless payment. Not my favorite but, again, more of the new normal.

So i went to get the garlic creamy fettuccine dish with my mother. First off the noodles weren’t cooked well. Secondly, they were almost dry. Honestly i thought that was just how the chefs make the noodles but when i got home my mom got a really bad sharp pain in her stomach. She had an upset stomach and she couldn’t stop regurgitating. I thought that was because of something she ate before going to the restaurant but as soon as i went to the bathroom i felt nauseous myself and also had an upset stomach, i knew it was from this restaurant, maybe it was the uncooked noodles or maybe it was the sauce i don’t know. Our server was pleasant but could have visited us just maybe once more. Everyone else in my party had well-prepared dishes. I had the bad luck of having both undercooked pasta for my dinner -that had to be replaced- and grainy pudding. (I had my husband check to make sure that it wasnt just me and it wasnt I just had the bad luck of having both of the bad dishes). Though the server was pleasant and changed the meal, there wasnt much follow-up with the meal and nothing with the dessert.The good points: The atmosphere was lovely, the music was the perfect volume, and it was very clean. And as I mentioned, everyone else had wonderful meals- the Butter Cake was a big hit.

Food is great, but wouldn’t order curbside pickup again.My order was supposed to be ready at 7:02, called about that time and was told my order was packed up and they would bring it out to me. Nearly15 min later, I gave up waiting and went in. It was on the back counter.There were 3 people working the to go window. They seriously need to pick up the pace. There was someone else in the curbside pickup parking who had been there longer than I, and was still there when I left. I may all them and tell them they need to refund the tip I put on the order, or at least cut it in half. I have never waited that long in any curbside pickup before.

While the food is good, the takeout experience has been super disappointing the last few pickups. Pickup times are severely underestimated. Part of the order is ready early, cooling off, while waiting another 30 minutes for a kids meal to be ready. While I understand they may be understaffed, they need to adjust their wait times to be more realistic as well as their cooking coordination for all meals within one order.

It was our all-time favorite restaurant.But unfortunately, not after tonight please check your drinks before consuming. I understand stuff happens but the drink maker can double-check the drink they serve, always, as well as the server should check too. Very disappointed as there was a bug crushed/ floating in the drink. Had asked the server but had said its just crumbled basil and I still asked hesitantly are you sure? The server said yes so I went ahead drinking. Then I saw the bugs eye and half of the wing sticking out when I stir in the straw more. So, told the server to look again then believed me and took the drink back to who made it. Didnt call the manager at that time. The incident seemed very causal to the staff. Of course, they took the drink off from the bill / and a side dish & made a new drink but didnt seem very sincere. So, after we left I felt so sick to my stomach that I drank that.My concern is that believe the customer if they saw something at least look at it cautiously then say something or yet just change the drink.If I was in their shoes I wouldve been more sincere & would have said please let us know if you need anything else or if something happens please dont be hesitant to contact us.

They have KUNG PAO SPAGHETTI!! It really is so delicious, sadly though for the $25.00 u spend on it when u add chicken, they really dont give you a good amount of pasta. Last time I went I added DOUBLE pasta for $6.00 to go with chicken so it was almost $40.00 and I could barley tell the difference. It came in the same Togo container so it was easy to see that it was definitely not double the pasta. The food is amazing, but I give it 2 stars simply because they are so cheap when it comes to the portion size for the price. COME ON CPK SPAGHETTI is so cheap!!! Very stingy place.

Pretty good. For a CPK it was a large restaurant and lots of tables. We were able to sit right away but it took a few minutes to get any service. The first guy ordered our drinks and then it was almost 10 minutes before we got them and were able to place our food order. The greeter was friendly and seated me quickly. The waitress took my order, gave my soup and water.. But NEVER returned with the rest of my order for over 40 minutes. The food is good. But the service was really bad during our last visit. I am not sure if our family was alone ill treated. One Mr.Luis, did not serve the bread (was serving all the other tables. But gave some excuse to us alone). And was not bothered to serve the requests we placed. It seems something has changed at this CPK. It was not the same during my all the previous visits. I would think twice to go there next. I felt so bad that I did not want to tip him. But still did as a table manners at a restaurant.

Delicious food and cocktails. Some of their pizza selections are exotic and surprisingly good. I love the chicken dumplings the best. Their key lime pie has a homemade crust that is absolutely decadent. Everything is honestly pretty solid. Their BBQ chicken pizza is very good of course (although its even better at the Vegas location!). The portions from the kids menu is good. Its their service that is poor. I have been twice this week, and both times, we hardly saw our server. Actually I saw ours today standing in the kitchen talking to others. I had to get up and ask the front door hostess if we could have our bread, and also had to ask for the silverware and plates. The waitress also didnt take our menus, so I got up to return them myself so they were out of our way. We had empty glasses on our table, even after requesting a refill. We finally got our refill the same time we got the check, so wasnt able to drive it all. If you go to this CPK, just make sure you arent on a time crunch.

Ive been here many times with my girlfriend for a date and we had yet another great evening. Our waiter was actually extra great tonight. He was friendly, helpful, joked around, was great with refills but we never felt like he was hovering or bothering us. We ordered the Spring Rolls and BBQ Chicken Pizza. The Spring Rolls were absolutely amazing, which they always are and is why theyre a favorite. The pizza was not as good as usual though. My girlfriend thought it was pretty good, I thought it was a little off that night and just didnt enjoy it like I usually do (its probably my favorite thing on the menu next to the spring rolls). Im still giving a 5 star rating because most every other time we have gone in, its a 5 star experience. Everyone is entitled to be a little off their game once in awhile, so if youve been here or somewhere else where something wasnt quite right, give them another chance, they might not only surprise you, but surpass your expectations.

Came in today to redeem my free small plate reward coupon. I was upfront with my waiter and the host that I required no special attention, but they went above and beyond. Robby is an awesome waiter. I just had lunch at this location, it was the worst experience ever, I have been to this location several times, but today it was the worst, we had Tony as our server, if you can even call him a server, he had no sense of urgency or customer service whatsoever, the entire lunch experience was just bad, I asked for a cup of water and he did not bring it till I asked again, then I asked for bread and a refill on my coke, 10min went by and didnt get it till I asked him again, then I asked for a spoon and had to ask twice again, and when he brought the spoon it was with his bare hand, no level of safety, especially since we are in the pandemic still, never came to check at all for any of our food, we sat there with all the dirty plates from appetizer and bread and our entree the entire time, while he did remove plates from other tables, we were just treated like we were not there, my sister asked for a refill and again had to ask twice, and he was just at the counter talking and laughing with co workers, and holding the coke in his hand, having a great time, talking all over our drink, till he decided to bring it to the table, we ordered a dessert and asked him to put it in a to go container as we did with our drinks for safety measurements, it took 25 minutes and the dessert never made it to the table, we asked a host for the check as he was at the counter again talking to co workers, laughing and just plain and simple acting like we were not there, when he came with the check my sister let him know the dessert was 25 minutes late and he said oh its been ready went and brought it, he brought the check and we gave him the CC then we asked for an itemized receipt and he brought one with the bottom and total cut, as there is a service survey in the bottom of the receipt, he made sure we didnt get that, I was going to ask for a manager but they were actually sitting 2 tables away from us and could clearly see the table full of dirty dishes and did not seemed to care, so it was pointless, I have been at this location several times, always tip 30% this time we took the time to tip accordingly and wrote at the bottom of the receipt how disappointed we were with the level of service, hoping management at least can see that, since they didnt notice how the table looked, only our table, as other tables were pre-bussed!this is definitely unacceptable, sadly we will not be coming back to this location. While we were at a school function, my wife walked through the silent auction and saw a Pizza Party For Kids at CPK.. My oldest son thought that would be a great idea for his party. We put in our bid, and we won. The kids party starts at 9 am before they open, and you have it until they almost open. They had pizza box decorating, make your own pizzas for lunch, a tour of their very Immaculately clean and organized kitchen and walk-ins. Then they taught the kids how to toss the dough in the air. The service was great, and the two dedicated servers were sweet and very attentive. They even had hot coffee and iced tee for the adults hanging out.All the kids loved it, we loved it. We were on the far left side of the restaurant and it was basically a ghost town, none of the waiters or waitresses would go over there very often, and we didnt even get our napkins and utensils until after they brought us our food. Going to CPK can often be hit or miss, as in my experience there is a lot of variability in service from store to store, and its usually consistent. The Valencia store is (and has always been) unfortunately one of the misses. Service is usually limited to taking your order and then seeing the server again when they collect the check. Getting a refill for your drink is a rare event, and if you are a large-ish party, good luck on everyone receiving their order at the same time.If you can get past all of that, the food is always good.

Ordered on the phone was not asked about my preference of salad size. Paid for my order at the pick up window and much to my surprise when I arrived home the salads where smaller than the one you would buy in the grocery store. At least when you buy those you get what you pay for.

CPK is a great place to dine with friends and family. A pond is located near this restaurant where you can hang-out and maybe feed the ducks.
