I was having a really rough day and a sore throat, and their Pho helped me feel much better. The interior was beautiful, but a bit too loud. The waiter was very friendly and took good care of us. Pho was great and definitely worth the price. We got the large bowl… and they weren’t playing around with the size… the bowl was massive! I do wish however, that they’d have better condiments, like sugar, chili vinegar, or chili powder. But overall it was really good.
Outstanding food and great service! My friends and I ordered family style so I was able to try a lot of the food on the menu and everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Go!!
The banh cuon brisket rolls and papaya salad are amazing! They’re so flavorful, fresh, and well balanced. I highly recommend those two appetizers!
We had an amazing experience!! The food was delicious, the veggie pho and the mushrooms spring rolls. The staff was very good too and willing to explain the dishes (we are not pho-pro). The place is very nice and the music was perfect. Id say its a little bit on the pricey side for what you get, but it is Venice and a really great atmosphere.
Fantastic Pho, as traveling around the world i must admit that its one of the best Pho i every had. Gluten- and MSG-free and the taste is fresh and delicious 🤤…. Lots of traffic, people picking up their order (while waiting you can play games at the desk). Why not having a seat in or outside and enjoy the nice music and the atmosphere.
Service was very friendly. They forgot our drink but we got it for free afterwards.Food was good - if you don’t expect authentic Vietnamese food.We went for dinner and in our opinion found that the place was a bit too dark for eating.

This place is great but I’ll never return. I’ve been coming here every couple weeks as a regular for over a year and recommend to friends but I’ll never return again. Why? 45 min before closing the won’t serve you for an in-house order for a meal that takes 15 min to consume in a nearly empty dining area.I support any business’ right to operate as they choose so long as they deliver. The friendly team member blamed it on the owner and being short staffed (a universal economic problem in the industry). This is even more reason to find a different place to eat.Dear owner, If you want to stop serving food at 10pm close at 9pm. If you’re open until 10pm, serve until 10pm unless indicated otherwise. If you have no interest in serving regular customers that expect service during your published business hours shut your doors.
Great rich broth and plenty of noodles and meat. Broth was not greasy and full o flavor. There is a byo policy that I 100% is great-$2 corkage fee for beer-whoever thought that up should be employee of the year. 5 stars fo sho.

Food is good and I like the fact they source orangic ingredients in their dishes. Staff is great and attentive. the music is abrasive and needs to be lowered imo. Place feels like its trying to be a bar when its really a resturant so thats weird but its a decent restaurant overall

2 Words: All Hype.Camp Pho started off as an In-Tents(ha!) food adventure and quickly turned out to be a wet Tee-pee.Now, I will say these good things first. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they have a menu that has a host of variety and tastiness. It was a good start. The waiter was funny and the hostess was prompt. Restaurants, however should be graded on the food and service, which is more like 90% of how I look at dining. It doesnt matter to me if your restaurant is a run-down shack, but if your food is on point, trust me, youll win my praise.My party arrived during non-peak hours and was quickly seated. We were all ready to enjoy some delicious fusion. We ordered, enjoyed some funny puns from our waiter, and he told us, twenty minutes--fine thats typical. We listened to reggae, odd choice for a hip-restaurant. Why have it on blast and on repeat? Something wasnt quite right with the ambiance.Half an hour in: It was noticeable that the wait staff began to ignore us. One of my friends had his hand in the air for five minutes, trying to ask where the food was.One hour later, our first bowl of pho hits the table. Its cold. The Butchers Bowl is sparse--for being called the Butcher there seemed to be a lack of meat. I dont suppose the Butcher had to run out and catch it himself. Anyway, the flavor of the pho was different--probably would have tasted amazing had it been served fresh rather than left out to cool, or microwave--whichever the case. As it was, cold, made it a disappointment.The crab eggrolls came out at the 1:20 mark. Burnt. Black. extra chewy. Ate it anyway, because: hangry.The check came. My friend put down his credit card, and not a moment later was the card picked up. Service goes fast when youre taking payment from a customer.Wait staff had the nerve to come back and say, thanks for coming! sorry about your experience, please come back and I hope itll turn out better! All the while offering no way to make peace or win back our patronage.Dont believe the hype. Overpriced. Bad service. Forgettable food. Check out some of the authentic pho places in Torrance or even one of the smaller ma & pop shops on Culver blvd.
Seriously the best Pho I’ve ever had in my life. I grew up in northern Virginia with a huge Vietnamese community and nothing compares to Camp Pho. My only critic are the super bright white lights that spill into the restaurant at night.
The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. Their 72h cooked broth had a unique basil taste. The portions were also very big for the price. We will be coming back!
This place does not disappoint! I had Hen of the Woods spring rolls, organic baby bok choy, and large filet mignon pho. The food is extremely fresh, high quality and the broth is made over 40 hours. Awesome vibes too from the staff.

Love it here. We come for chill vibes on cold nights to eat papaya salad, slurp soup, and play games. They allow byob for a small fee. the Caribbean reggae DnB music is a fun twist.
The broth tastes good when first brought out, but when its cooled, the saltiness actually hurts. The noodle texture missed the mark soon as I tried to stir it up. Maybe this was just an isolated day.. everyone else ordered the butchers bowl and enjoyed their meats.Brisket chunks sound good on paper but is dry, tasteless, and more of a chore to finish in the pho.Crab egg rolls are good (quite tasty actually) except for how quickly they got soggy.The brussel sprouts appetizer was an interesting and delightful take on cooked kimchee.. but the brussel sprout leafs we had to treasure hunt for hardly makes sense of the name.Probably wouldnt come back. The menu was entertaining but the price is not worth it. Id rather go to a traditional viet place.
The food was good. Price was alright for the size, even tho it seemed a little bit expensive. The big problem we had, was that we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our food, which was really annoying. It was ok overall, but the wait times were too long.
I truly dont understand why this place has 4 stars on yelp and google when it should be FIVE!! The only thing I can think of is for the sometimes very slow service during busy hours.... But it still didnt deter me because this is hands down the best pho not only on the west side, but in all of LA IMO.I come here several times a month or order take out. The broth and meat are very high quality and you can tell its not like other pho places where they give you a couple pieces of meat in water that pretty much only has MSG. Everything about this place is quality. I even tried the veggie broth once and it was the best veggie broth ever.If you are looking for a high quality bowl of pho, look no further. If it means anything... I grew up in a Vietnamese household so Id like to think my feedback is somewhat reliable here. :)Also to the owner - your restaurant deserves more recognition for the amazing food that comes out of that kitchen! I need to start posting everything I come here for pho :)
Camp Pho is pho-nomenal ... had my fair share in cities all over. Camp Pho broth is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Beyond excited to have this awesome, well run pho joint in the neighborhood. Thank you Camp Pho!We both got the Butchers Bowls and split the mushroom spring rolls.... 10/10 would recommend. Traditional pho & some other menu items with modern twists. The hibiscus tea was also nice.
I really want to love this place but I cant. Time and again the customer service experience leaves a lot to be desired. Today I ordered by way ofPostmates using Google Maps. Order was marked ready within 12 minutes. Arrived 20 minutes later to learn they were out of items I ordered and so they requested I order something else. So I did. Waited another 20 minutes, got my take out and left. When I got home and saw how small the $18 entree was disappointment ensued. The food, yes, is delicious however the prices are ridiculous - even for LA.This is probably my 10th visit to Camp Pho. I was a frequent and forgiving customer in their opening days. Regretfully 3 years later I cant say much has changed as in the way of customer experience. The staff are really nice yet somehow a systematic approach to having a quality restaurant experience doesnt seem to work here.
I went there, very intrigued by their menu and vibe. I was not disappointed! The food was incredible, and the drinks were great too. The pho was so good, rich and flavorful. I got the pho in a large size, and as a person with a large appetite, I thought I could finish it, but I thought wrong. The rest of my soup is patiently waiting in my refrigerator to be finished. Anyways, I thought this place is great. Would definitely recommend
Complete rip-off. We ordered from Postmates and the poor driver had to wait for 50 minutes until the order was ready (its pre-made broth and then you toss some ingredients in a bowl, how can that take so long?). After our food arrived over an hour late and cold, we were in shock to see that a Pho bowl of $18 was a mini size. We ordered two large ones and both of them were tiny. The broth wasnt even enough to cover the noodles. I order pho a lot and will never choose Camp again - you get triple the size for half the price elsewhere. The taste was great but what good does it do when youre still hungry after an order over $40.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that kitchen staffs were white... We ordered butchered pho and crab egg rolls. Just like what previous reviewers had mentioned, food wasnt authentic at all. The food not being authentic doesnt mean less tasty but this place was an exception. Pho was too salty, the meat was poor quality and the egg rolls contained mochi type of filling inside which made it too chewy.The place was empty when we got there but there was no one to greet or tell us where to sit so we just picked a table and waited for a waiter. But no one came so I went and grabbed menus myself. A waiter with a flower over his ear finally showed up and sat next to us, which I thought it was odd, and took our order. I told him butchered pho but no meat balls. He said, ok no meat balls, got it. And then the pho came with meat balls. 🤔 I didnt say anything because mistakes do happen...But what bothered me the most was that we were done with our food and waiting for the waiter to bring us our bill but he was busy flirting with a female customer. He started off with a casual conversation and then he eventually sat down at her table. He started talking about where he grew up and what he liked to do for fun and etc... This went on for 10+ minutes. It was too obvious he was flirting and wanted to ask her out, and I was like just ask for her number already. While this was going on, another customer couldnt wait for his bill so he walked to the bar to pay for his food, so I did the same.Maybe I would have given this restaurant another star for this review for entertainment if he had asked her out or at least asked her for her number but he didnt.
This family owned restaurant never fails us! The quality of food is simply fantastic. I suggest ordering the bigger bowls of Pho because it’s still incredible the next day. And the crab rolls are ridiculously good. Like a lot of restaurants, they are short staffed right now, but they care about their customers and you definitely feel the love in their food and commitment to quality. Excited to get back!
Guys this place…..is REALLY good. We came on a Tuesday night and ordered the ban cuon brisket rolls and the pulled pork noodles. HOLY SMOKES. Brisket rolls were such a delicious and herby balance of flavors in a fish sauce. The pulled pork noodles were crispy and soft and bursting w pork juice umami. Y’all I’m not playing this meal was probably one of the more memorable ones I’ve had in a while. Just an overall solid spot and the vibe is super sweet, music great. Service was awesome. Thank u!!! By far the best pho I’ve ever had. My friends who are big foodies turned me on to this place and I love it. It’s a staple for us. We have always had great service and the owner/chef Jonathan is such a nice guy! I can’t say enough great things about this spot. Go atleast once a week.Bonus: if you are vegan, according to my vegan friends, they make some of the best vegan broth they have had. They love that they make it a priority to have on the menu unlike other places that don’t. And in that case others end up watery according to my friends.
This is the best pho Ive ever had, especially as a vegetarian. One of their vegetarian phos has fake meat and tofu and the broth is incredibly flavorful. I was staying near by for a month and got it at least 2x per week, its that good. Strong recommend!!!
Love their Vietnamese food with a modern twist. While their dishes aren’t most authentic, they are delicious. Didn’t get the Pho so can’t speak to that but any of the rolls or noodles will be good. Chill casual service. Good portion sizes.
If I can give them 0 stars I would. I did my research on LA Pho and this was so-called the best Pho in the area. When we walked in, we noticed it wasnt authentic Vietnamese but we gave it a shot since the reviews was so good. I ordered the brisket pho with extra briskets and it was not brisket meat. It was chucks of beef roast. Disappointed! Husband ordered the best pho they had and same thing. Disappointed! Overpriced, bland, nasty and powder tasting. Not worth it. We didnt finish it cause it was disgusting. They didnt wash the basils and they didnt give us any chili oil. We were a family group of 4 kids and 2 adults and they automatically charged us for the generosity tip of $20 added into our bill. Tips are supposed to be given if the service and food was great, not forced. Total bill came to $150 for 4 pho, 1 fried rice, burnt eggrolls and some drinks. OVERPRICED for nasty pho. I dont even know how this place even got this much great reviews. I would prefer people eat elsewhere where its authentic Vietnamese restaurant.

Food is above average. But nothing can make out for how poorly the system is ran there. Im typically always lucky when i go and theres only a few people. However today i knew instantly after walking in to see the amount of people with only one server it was going to be brutal. I shouldve just walked out. Its been 45 minutes and i still have yet to receive my food. The owner needs to seriously rethink his system because it wont be before long theyll have no one willing to want to wait this long for a bowl of PHO. What a disaster!
What happened? This is our 3rd time here and we brought friends here only to find the pho was terrible. It was like it had been made from concentrate and was very salty and bland. The previous times we were here the meat was way better and the broth was actually proper pho broth. Very disappointing.
I thought I had had good pho. I was right, but this is far beyond any that Ive had. The Garden of Eden changed me...Ive heard the delivery portions are tiny, so def pick up or dine in-these portions are bountiful and worth the price!
We stopped here for pho and it was delicious. I got bone broth and tri tip. I’ve had a lot of pho in my time and this was definitely top notch. The hibiscus tea was really good as well, not sweetened which is what I prefer. The atmosphere is nice and our server was really nice and helpful. We enjoyed it!

I ordered the filet mignon pho and it is the best pho I have ever had on the westside. At first I was sad when it didn’t come with hoisin and sriracha, but honey, it doesn’t need it! This broth was sent from the heavens to drown you in cozy deliciousness.I immediately told my best friends about this place and one of them got the chicken pho the very next night. The pho is actually kind of mediocre in my opinion but the other entrees are incredible. the braised ribs and crispy pork noodles are legitimately some of the best things Ive ever eaten. Not terribly expensive either and portions are very filling

Hip place with a good selection of Pho and Asian dishes with freshly made ingredients. We had the crab meat rice and the garden of Eden Pho bowl. So tasty! The staff were friendly and they played some great tunes. Would recommend!

This place rocks... the food is tasty for sure. The options remind me of Vietnamese food stalls, meaning very simple but really good plates.The pho broth and noodles were really good.Despite being in a corner strip mall, the atmosphere inside was really well done and had a unique quality to it.This place is food for a meet up with 4 people or less as well as a good date spot. There is a good place next door to get a drink / beer after dinner.

Love Camp Pho, so happy to have a local Pho place to go to in Venice! I keep bringing friends and family here. You can’t go wrong with the spring rolls (hen of woods and crab are my favorite). As far as pho their Vegan is awesome and I usually do the Butcher (without the tripe). The broths are super tasty and portions are big, and service is really friendly. I highly recommend it!
If you are looking for Authentic Vietnamese Pho unfortunately this is not the place. My family and I ordered The secret breakfast pho and it cost $13.95. Waaaay overpriced for a bowl of Pho and not worth the portion size. We also ordered Egg Rolls that were delicious but for 4 of them it cost $12. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out and we all ordered pho soup. I’ve been too many many pho places and it takes no longer than 5-10 minutes even when it’s busy and the restaurant was not busy when we arrived. If you also want authentic Thai style papaya salad this is also not the place for that unfortunately. Their drinks are also $4.95 each just for a Thai tea or juice. None of the drinks come with ice for some reason. We were very disappointed and we spent well over $100 dollars for 4 adults and small children in which we shared our bowls of pho with.
Messed up my order. I asked for no meatballs and extra filet and brisket, which I paid for. Instead I received meatballs and no extra filet or brisket. Also, they gave me no hot sauce.The first time I went here, it was right before their break between lunch and dinner. I got there 10 minutes before that break, but they still refused to take my order.
The pho soups are delicious at this place! I’ve tried both the butcher and chicken pho - highly recommend. The Hanoi crab rolls and papaya mint salad was also very good.The only thing I didn’t 100% like was the crispy pulled pork noodles - it was a bit spicy/saucy/salty for my taste.
Fantastic food, abysmal service. This is my fourth visit and I keep hoping theyll pull it together, but its almost like they just want to be a takeout spot. It really is great, I havent had a bad dish, but its clearly a madhouse and food comes out late and disjointed - one dish took 30 min, the other took 45 (luckily we shared). The byob part is nice, this is the first time weve taken advantage of it, but the price they quoted me when I asked was 300% different from the price that appeared on my bill (which was the wrong bill first, I might add).If you are craving pho, this place has great food. Just dont expect it to be fast or smooth.
Not the best Pho Ive ever had, but not bad by any means. Menu needs some work - layout is plain and thrown together. Staff was good and attentive immediately. Prices are a bit steep. Even traditional pho places arent this expensive.

When this place fails as a Pho restaurant, at least they’ll be able to take their tiny pieces of Ribeye and turn it into a Philly Cheesesteak shop fairly easily.Broth felt oily.definitely overpriced for the portion sizes (I devoured my regular and most of my dissatisfied fiancés)first time I’ve ever had the meat fully cooked before it entered the broth.Blossom is way better.
Its OK, but could improve. You walk in and the place doesnt even look like a restaurant; all I see are childrens toys and disheveled employees, so the welcome and entrance isnt very welcoming. The meat is spot-on (we tried filet mignon and chicken) and the teas are delicious. However, the bowls are part of the pho experience- they are too deep/narrow here and need to be shallow and wider with MORE broth to allow the vegetables and meat to cook. They give you so many delicious vegetables, but not enough room in the bowl or broth to enjoy them. The broth was also on the sweet side, I couldnt place it but there was a spice that shouldnt be in it. Normally I enjoy sipping the broth after, but I didnt enjoy it. Finally, the hand-written menus on laminated cardboard are unimpressive, especially after the unimpressive welcome. This place could be amazing if just a few things were different!

Delicious hipster pho and on the much pricier side for sure. I’m usually a traditional viet old-school pho person but this is close to my home and it’s good quality food. It’s like pho in the more greasy rich ramen style but well-prepared. Soup could be a bit hotter but will ask for that next time. Vegan pho is greeeat and so is the butcher block one.
The owner is the nicest person. Have had multiple dishes here, they are all 9/10 or greater. Highly recommend.
I’ve ordered a couple times from this place and it’s always different. Most the time, half the order is missing and there is barely ANY broth. It’s just a bunch of noodles. The meat is ok. For these, prices it’s a ripoff.
Ordered from them with post mates. I ordered the meat ball pho with extra brisket. There were no meat balls and the meet was dry and disgusting. Ive ordered from this place before and it was ok but today was a real disappointment.
Great flavor but very skimpy portions.I paid $16+ for a large and the bowl was 60 % filled. They should at least be smart and double the noodles and add broth near the top. Killer flavor but I felt scammed.
That time when you have a spontaneous idea to go try a new restaurant on Abbot Kenny and are told it’s a 45 minute wait.So you hop in the truck and roll down to Lincoln Blvd and try that “new little pho spot “.The music was bumping. BYOC- Bring your own chopsticks.I wanted to try Camp Pho as it was a new spot that opened up a few months ago. I have walked by a few times and am always open to tasting new places.The place was PACKED at 830pm. I checked over the menu and spotted some new things I wanted to try, looked at the reviews and they seemed good.The service was slow and the night started to feel like the place has a few kinks to work out. The table that we were sat at was not clean. there were several small dishes on the table, also not clean. I noticed a few other things and decided to stop looking because this kind of thing starts to put me off about a place. Dirty front of house generally means dirty back of house....Not a good first impression to say the least.I asked the server for some suggestions from the menu and she said everything is good. Ok...When it came time to order, the first two appetizers we ordered were sold out. So we didnt order another. The server made the suggestion to order the brisket Pho and when my gf ordered it the server back pedaled and said they were out of that as well.Brisket is a tougher, less expensive cut from the others on the menu (filet mignon, ribeye), its also a pretty popular cut of meat for Pho so kinda surprised they were out but again the service is slow so might have helped if we knew that off the bat, probably something the staff should tell people when they hand them menus but Ok... So the GF ordered a Regular filet mignon Pho bowl and I ordered the large mixed meat Pho bowl (Brisket which they were out of, Filet, ribeye and meatball) because, being it was our first time, I wanted to see the difference and taste several meats. I also opted out of having the Tripe.The server boasted that the Pho was cooked 30 hours or something to that effect but it took a LONG TIME (which felt like 30hours) to get our food, or even the drinks that we ordered.BIG PHO-BLEMO is that Meat quality here was sub par. The meat balls have large, hard, rubbery pieces of gristle in them. In fact, the meatball is a bit rubbery as well, the first bite was like chewing on a dog toy so I picked out meatball and placed it on the stack of dirty dishes that were still on our table when we arrived. For a dish that has several meat cuts highlighted I couldnt distinguish between them. Aside from the meat ball a filet should be distinguishable from a ribeye and they just tasted bland, not seasoned, over cooked and VERY dry. How meat can be that dry sitting in a bowl of Pho is beyond me.The reason that I say to bring your own chopsticks is that they use very cheaply made plastic chopsticks which are not conducive to gripping the noodles to eat them neatly, your noodles will most certainly slip and splosh unless you can slurp them up fast.The broth was good, the side of sprouts, mint, jalapeno and lime were standard but they sat under the bowl of pho.The soup did stay warm the entire meal which is a testament to the bowl quality, I just wish that they took time to select better meat to go with the nice bowl. The meat quality was truly a major disappointment.There are a lot of really great reviews on here about this place. It is cool that there is another soup spot on the westside, the broth is nice and the people there seem nice as well, its just a shame that the place wasnt run a bit better last night and that the meat quality was poor.The place has potential and is in a great location. I would only recommend that the place be kept a bit cleaner, the staff would communicate a bit more about what they were serving and a your food will be out soon and that maybe the chef could provide a better quality of meat. I dont mind paying a bit more for better quality but when I order the dish and the meat is that bad, it would turn people off from giving it another shot. That said, theres a lot of very positive reviews, mine is only one couples experience on one night.
Disappointed by this place. The service was slow and disorganized, some items are overpriced (bok choy & mushroom small portion is $12... and not worth it), there are very few tables eventhough there is lots of outdoor space, and theyve been there over 1 year and still havent managed to put a sign up with their name. Spring rolls are pretty good, especially the mushroom ones.
Their pho tasted basically only of cloves,I couldnt taste anything else.Service was fantastic and the waiters are nice, the place is nice, all was great except all I tasted for that entire hour I was there was cloves. The meat tasted like cloves. The broth tasted like cloves. The veggies tasted like cloves.Not bad. But not great either.If you like cloves, youll LOVE this spot.
Customer service is terrible.Both the blonde with tattoos on her forearm and the brunette ladies that work at the cashier and behind the counter expediting to-go orders get in the weeds and the restaurant orders take forever. I’ve been waiting for 25 minutes for a pick-up and when asked about an estimate mentioning the order was 20 minutes late already they get defensive and rude. Customer service is zero here.
Sauntered in for a little something new, left feeling like I was ready to come back.Sauteed Noodles rocked and the ribeye pho was some of the best Ive had. Papaya salad.. always a yummy.
Great beef Pha
BEST PHO EVER! They cook their broth for 24 hours to get the perfect taste. The ingredients are so good. They def don’t use any msg and the couple that runs it is soo lovely. I wish every restaurant was like them. Sometimes the food can take a tad to be ready, but it is worth it!

I consider myself kinda an expert in pho cuz I eat it ALL the time. And this one is the best I have had! SLOW-COOKED BONE BROTH BASE?!! 🤩 C’mon it doesn’t get better than that. Add extra bockchoy and nice mix of mushrooms - and it’s truly epic! And super nice stuff, love. Thank you!
Pho was good. Service was good, but slow. It probably took 25 minutes to get us our Pho. They had one bluetooth speaker delivering music that kept cutting in and out, making it difficult to have a conversation.
We came in when the shop was not crowded but it still took them more than 20 mins to serve us food. For a pho shop it took just 5-10 mins to serve.As a Vietnamese I cant accept shrimp pho or basa fish pho, not to mention the combo pho that has beef, shrimp and basa fish altogether. Beef pho was not good. Beef is not of the best quality and they had stewed beef, which again doesnt go with pho. The broth was bad. The waitress told us they cooked each bowl separately - this is not the way pho is cooked.Overall I had bad experience here
Growing up Asian, I had better pho before. The noodles were hard and the broth was cold. The broth should be hot to soften the pho. The meat was too thick. They didn’t have fish sauce or chili oil as their seasoning. The crab egg rolls were burn too. They should’ve just fried it until it’s golden brown, not dark brown. Ignore this place, I had to wait almost and hour for my food.
Best Pho I have ever had in my life. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are and how AMAZING the broth tastes! My favorite is the Brisket Pho and they use REAL, TENDER, JUICY BRISKET.Other Pho restuarants just use thinly sliced meat regardless of what kind of meat you get, it all looks the same and taste the same.......NOT AT CAMP PHO. CAMP PHO IS THE SPOT TO BE.
Incredibly delicious, great atmosphere! Super awesome server. I’m going back tonight to try more things. All five dishes that my friend and I ordered were beyond .. Pho, mushrooms, papaya salad.. yum.
Our orders were wrong. My +1 and I ordered the exact same thing and ours tasted completely different, like there was some sort of cinnamon or something in my broth. And when my server was taking ages to come back to give us a part of our order that was missed, I overheard at the bar that other people were getting their orders wrong. Maybe it was a bad night but wow I don’t plan on coming back!
Had the large butcher pho. Broth is very thick and brown. Was not to bad but very salty could use less salt and leave it up to the consumer to add fish sauce or salt. It was weird again to see white people making pho for asians. If it wasnt so salty I would give it 4 stars. The meat and meatballs was very good, pho noodles ok but didnt get much in the large. I would not eat there again due to the salty flavor.
Nice place, food taste good however every time I come here the doors are wide open and it feels cold inside. The bowls are have full and everytime I have to ask for extra broth. The pho soup should be like a soup not like a bowl of noodles.. the same complaints everytime I come in and they still have not fixed things!!! Who manages this place???

One of the best pho I’ve ever had besides my mom’s. Not only did it taste good, the quality of the food was top notch. The place is real hip and cozy. Niko was very nice and attentive. Camp Pho, you guys rock!!
This is my 5th visit and Im finally posting because I dont want this place to go anywhere. This place is a true gem hidden within a nondescript plaza (and without signage) so Ive missed the entrance twice. In my life, Ive eaten countless homemade pho, cooked pho myself, and frequented hundreds of pho restaurants. This place is legitimate. While Santa Monica and West LA is generally a desert for quality pho, Camp Pho stands out and ranks among the best pho restaurants Ive had. Pho purists may complain about the price (~$12 for a small pho bowl) but its Venice so priced accordingly to the local market. For for timers, I recommend the large butcher pho bowl with a side of Hanoi crab egg rolls and a Thai iced tea.
Awful service. Ordered a pho and noodle dish and took 2 hours for delivery and cold when it arrived. My Uber driver waited 40 minutes while the restaurant prepared other orders. Never will I order from here again!
Horrible service! My party and I ordered our food, and waited about 45 minutes before leaving. after 30 minutes, I had to ask the server if our food was going to be ready soon, she came back saying only four minutes, ten minutes past and we decided to leave. She did not bother to notify us that it will be a little bit longer, just no updates! It was the shorter server that was on at 1/16/20 around 1 pm. Sad part was that the restaurant was not even at full capacity.
Hipster pho is usually a disaster.This wasnt.But it was definitely a place that underperformed vs. what it could have been. Bok choy and mushrooms were superb, the bone broth pho was not so interesting or tasty. It wasnt bad per se, but it wasnt very good either.
The food is great. HOWEVER....- Placed order at 5:00, told would be ready at 5:30. When I went to pick up I had to wait an additional 35 MINUTES......-LA is a CoVid hotspot- but they made about twelve of us wait inside the small restaurant for our orders. There is only two people working behind the counter, so no way of knowing your order is ready unless you are right there. (LA doesn’t allow you to eat inside, but CAMP thinks it ok to let you hang out while waiting for food)- They also have some cool toys, I guess to play with while you wait for your food. But there is no one wiping them down, so not very well thought outTIP to management- just get buzzers and let people wait in their cars so you don’t put us at risk. Thank You.
Venice finally has a legit pho spot! Deep, rich broth and amazing house-made brisket. Hanoi crab rolls...didn’t know that I needed them in my life so badly. Instantly in my restaurant rotation.
Great place! Came in last night, totally jetlagged after a long flight, and their comforting pho was just what I needed. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. Will definitely come back!
This place is prettt great! Broth is delicious and they dont skimp out on any ingredients. Its all there and always satisfying. Definietly great for those with a cold!Try the BRISKET. I find it to be one of the most delicious.Also, a SMALL size is just enough for those who arent very hungry.
The food is great, especially the brisket rolls and ceviche, but OMG please turn up the lights a bit and turn down the music a lot. The dark interior lighting just lets the ugly fluorescent lighting from the street flood the interior instead.
Delicious homestyle dishes, the crab egg rolls and the Butchers Pho in bone broth are a must. Also, ask if they have fresh coconuts, best in town!
The ambiance is a little too dark, the waitress was friendly but quick to leave. Food came out fast and was delicious. Theres a small parking lot which is convenient and was empty on a Monday night. I will be going back again.

Not my cup of tea. I asked for it with no onions...got onions all over it. I didnt think the broth tasted all that great - it was way too earthy for me. But others that like a new type of pho may like this place.

I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it’s 10/10. It’s pricer but everything is pricey on the west side lol

2023-08-07 02:10:39Really great food and service. Found all items to be really fresh and well seasoned. Papaya salad had the perfect balance of sour and spice. Bone broth has a great, rich depth of flavour, perhaps slightly salt forward for my liking. Banh Mi sandwich hit all the right notes and the bread does not hurt the roof of your mouth. The parking lot is very small, suggest street parking. Highly recommended.

2023-07-31 03:22:43Wanted to like this place. Its rare to see a Vietnamese menu with this modern vibes.Unfortunately, the execution was lacking.It was a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon. Not the most ideal day for hot broth in your mouth. Or the ideal temp to be inside a restaurant with no AC. Come prepared to sweat.There were only two other customers dining in and they already had their food. Somehow it still took 20 minutes after ordering to receive my food. Judging by the number of people that came for pickup orders, I got stuck behind the ghost que. So if you got a short lunch break, I wouldnt worry too much about this place.Ordered the shrimp toast spring rolls and the regular chicken pho. Bro, dont ever order the large unless you plan to eat for the next 3 days. The smaller size is plenty big.That was one of the problems. Normally places be trying to sell you extra noodles. This place give you too many. On top of that, the broth itself wasnt especially hot when it reached me and it was heavy on the anise, blunting any other flavor nuance. Shrimp toast was fun tho...

Our server recommend the pork crispy noodles when we come back next which sound amazing as well! Just a tip, no visible sign outside that we could see, so just know it’s on the corner that runs along Lincoln Blvd - super cute inside too, great find!

It was so flavorful, noodles were chewy and then had a crispness to them! Wowww I could have that all over again!Don’t miss out on that brisket pho. The broth was wondering and the brisket was incredibly tender!Everything else was amazing as well, just needed to highlight those two!Thank you for a great experience! Big shoutout to the servers!

In comparison to other pho joints, the broth taste really clean as itIis boiled for 72 hours! I usually get the Hanoi crab egg rolls and butcher pho (brisket, filet mignon, ribeye, meatballs). Theres usually 1 or 2 people working and they are really nice and attentive. They dont serve alcohol here, but there is a liquor store next-door for byob. Also a cute plant nursery across the street!

2023-11-20 05:02:30The food is good… if you can get it. We ordered online and got a 30-40 minute quote on ETA. We showed up at the estimated time and they said 5 more minutes. And then we waited for another 40 minutes. I would rather that they were up front on the timing and we would have cancelled our order upon arrival instead of having to wait there in person for that long.
