Chan Kee in Walnut

This is not a full service restaurant. Order up front and pick up your own food, get your own utensils, napkins, water… it has a food court atmosphere. The price however was a bit high for what you get. The porridge comes in a huge container but not much stuff in. The egg noodles smelled heavy lye water that made it unbearable to eat. I just had the braised beef. The dried scallops rice roll was absolutely overpriced. There were few very tiny bits of dried scallops on the rice roll. my appetite was not satisfied when I walked out of there. Probably won’t return.

There was a line when we arrived, but we didnt wait long to order and find a seat, even get our food ready at the counter. The food is as delicious as usual at an affordable price. Their HK-style milk tea is the best I have ever had in California. They dont even require you to tip them since they are self-service style. You must try if you are around the area or just come grab an HK-style milk tea and go like me lol...

Been to Chan Kee in Diamond Bar a few times and I highly recommend this restaurant. The porridge is bomb- served in a cylindrical wooden bowl with Generous portion which easily serve 2-3 people. Service is quick and the place is very clean. Very reasonably priced for the quality and portion. Did I mention they dont accept tips for dine in?! Thats a unicorn right there where most of the restaurants expect a minimum of 15 to 20% gratuity. If you feel like having an authentic Hong Kong style breakfast, this is the perfect place. Cant wait to try their new location in Monrovia next!

It was my first time to visit there. The restaurant is way bigger than though. The portion of the food is pretty big. Theres a lot of selection on the menu. I will definitely come back again soon.

Good food, service system is not so good, packed house, need to order, pay and wait for empty table than you can seat down and pick up your foods. Its definitely not the restaurant for handicap. No relaxing here.Not for lunch if you have a job.

Hong Kong Cafe De Coral 大家樂“ style eatery. Order/pay first and enjoy their offering. Didnt get a chance to try their porridges (looks good). Ham macaroni with spam, has brown and egg omelette is pretty decent. The rice noodle crunchy roll (油炸鬼/炸倆) aint too shabby either. Next time will try their baked pork chop rice.

They have expanded and the place is much bigger. It is now an open style self serve restaurant. Great Hong Kong style breakfast and lunch place (they close at 6PM). We ordered the porridge and was surprised with the portion. The Chinese donut is a must try as well. Milk tea is done the right way with lots of tea flavor.This is not food related but since this restaurant is Canto style and most of the customers are Chinese. They should consider changing their music playlist from top 40s to Canton pop?

I haven’t had going long breakfast in a long time so this was delicious! The portions were reasonable. The beef stew comes with a side of hot soup too! The porridge was good too! I wished I put the sauce on the side for the donut plate. The parking isn’t too bad in the morning but one lunch hits and everything in the plaza opens up. I’m sure the parking will get a bit difficult.

This is my first time to visit! I love everything about this restaurant! The food I ordered was Baked Pork Tenderloin Cutlet With Rice! It came with a free hot drink, garlic toast and hot soup❤️They all very tasty~the restaurant would also provide a cup of free ice cream!The staff were all friendly and patient to help to order!The restaurant environment was neat and clean as well as the restroom!I highly recommend this place to people who would like to try Cantonese food😍

Pretty good price for the taste, quality, and the amount of food served each dish/ item. I enjoyed most of the items we ordered except the fish cake Shumai.
