The food is cooked fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. We go there at least once a week. The shrimp fried rice is my favorite, shrimp chow fun and broccoli & beef are pretty awesome as well.
Its so hard to find a location that sells a decent Mongolian Beef dish. I can confidently say that this location sells a more than decent Mongolian Beef dish. Im definitely coming back to try out the other platters. I also ordered Boba Thai Tea which was also delicious. Minor complaint, the straw they provided for this drink was too small to accommodate drinking the boba. Thankfully I had some large straws at home to replace it. I dont think this complaint warrants removing a star.
Food was horrible I had to dump it and unfortunately i bought enough for 8-10 people. A financial loss, So disappointed ☹️☹️☹️

Chef Chens is one of our favorite Chinese fast food takeout. Today I ordered the salt and pepper pork lunch special. Usually one of my favorite dishes from other restaurants. Sadly it was yucky. It was soggy, no crispiness to the pork and it was cut in these long pieces instead of being on the bone. Disappointed!

Husband and wife owners are always very pleasant. Wait staff have been there for a long time and are also very sweet. Food is always delicious and consistent as husband is only cook. All of their food is fantastic but their War Won Ton Soup is out of this world! Its a definite must try! Pork fried rice is delicious! Once you try their food you will definitely become addicted!
07/01/2019One word, bland. The food is very simple in flavor and is borderline tasteless. The dumplings are mediocre at best, everything appears water down but I’m assuming the good reviews come from the people settling on the low price. The waitresses seem to be focused on rushing the customers out rather than providing proper customer service. Save your money and if looking for a great Chinese restaurant with similar prices and superior authentic Chinese cuisine then try “Min’s Dumpling House” it’s a bit of a drive from the montebello area but very much worth it.
Delicious food. Great for take out. Tried it on my own a few weeks ago and I thought it was good. Bought dinner for the family today and everyone loved it.

I loved this place! at first when i got there i didnt know what to order because its not the typical Chinese to go type restaurant you actually sit down and order from your table the guy was kinda getting aggravated with all my questions so i just ordered the broccoli and steamed rice lunch plate to go cause i was on my lunch break and i was in a hurry but when i got to work at work i ate it and it was so good i will most definitely go there again. Thanks to my friend for recommending that place :) Im full and happy :)

Chef Chen is from Hong Kong!On my first visit to Chef Chen, I asked if the restaurant, Chef Chen was a part of Chef Chen in Boyle Heights in East LA.The waiter was aghast, Chef Chen is from Hong Kong, NOT EAST LA!And then, he proved it with the best tasting Chinese food Ive ever had. Ive been back many times and have never had a bad or even a mediocre meal. The food is freshly made, the servings are generous and the quality is consistent.One of my favorite places to eat.

It’s not a fancy place and don’t let the mess off to the side dissuade you.We ordered orange chicken and seafood lo mein.We were provided with a small appetizer of edamame. Yum!Both dishes came out hot and seemed very fresh. Flavors were very good and we plan to return in the future.Fair prices too.

I went with my wife and kids and they loved it!I asked for Wor Wonton Soup, and my wife got Kung Pao chicken. My kids asked for Mongolian beef, chicken lo Mein, and broccoli beef.Everything was hot and fresh when it came out.
