When we walked through the door we were hit with a thick smell of very old bad oil but sat down anyway to give them a try. Waiter was very abrupt and in my opinion rude. The first food came out and you could tell that it was going to be bad took one bite set it down and canceled all other food that was ordered. We will never be back.
I only picked up my food. No military discount&pricey. Broccoli beef togo tray was only half full for $17+? WTH? The 4 star was for the food taste. I expected much more.
Wow...I came in with my heavy backpack...and the first lady I saw...invited me in with a genuine smile.The server was On it...offering perfect suggestions when I was completely unsure of what to order.Within moments, it was decided that I must leave a great tip.The food was served hot and extremely fast. I got my meal here Faster than Any Fast Food restaurant. And talk about Taste! Flavorful. And the price...comparable to the leading fast food joint. Difference is service with a genuine smile and top quality ingredients served hot, fresh and even faster.

I love this place! This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. The staff is great with my kids and trust me my 4 year old can be a handful. The sizzling rice soup is fantastic. Ive never been disappointed with any dish. My 4 year old LOVES the orange chicken.
For a place that has dumpling in their name they dont have a lot of options, but what they do have taste pretty good! The lunch specials were a good deal as well!
The best Asian cuisine around hands down. The service was fantastic ( they poured the tea for us, made the lettuce wraps at the table & boxed up our leftovers). The generals chicken and the lettuce wraps were the bomb. The owners are super nice. Highly highly recommend this place. 5 starsTry the Taiwan Beer. Very refreshing & tasty. I’ll be back next week for sure!

Jenny and the team are so friendly and welcoming. We have been eating here for a couple of years now and wish we knew what we were missing out on sooner. My number one favorite dish is the orange chicken. It has to be hands down the BEST in the county.

Best restaurant in Port Hueneme! Great food and service. I enjoyed the chicken sumai, fried shrimp appetizer, black bean shrimp, and lobster sauce shrimp was my favorite.
I ordered the lunch special of sweet and sour chicken, the taste of the sauce was terrible, chicken was definitely sitting in a warmer for a long time and didn’t taste good at all. The fried rice was also old. Definitely not cooked to order when I only waited for 2 minutes. Stay away from this unauthentic Chinese restaurant.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! The place is comfortable, the staff is fun and energetic, and the food is a nothing short of a miracle. I have been here about 4 times and the consistency with the food has been exactly the same every time. The dumplings are fantastic, and the 3 Flavor Soup is to die for. This is one of my wife and my favorite places to go for lunch when were in the neighborhood. We usually only order the appetizers for the two of us. Thats usually enough for us to split everything. We usually get 2 orders of potstickers, one order of the mini bao and two eggrolls. Very good. Prices are good. I recommend it for a better lunch than Taco Bell.

No complaints, the Jasmine tea was lovely and the Beef vegetables lunch special (B1) was delicious. At the end of the meal they gave my mom a few free cookies for the heck of it (we brought in a pretty big party) so that was nice. Service was good, server was funny, and food came out in a timely manner.

They accommodated our group of 11 when they opened on Fathers Day. The waitress mentioned they had the best shrimp. We ordered house fried rice, mixed veggies, orange beef, sweet and sour fish and shrimp, and garlic shrimp. All the food came out quickly and tasted great. Definitely very tasty food here.
Service was prompt and on point. The orange chicken wasnt your usual big chunk of batter, but thin nicely done pieces of battered chicken. Kung Pao beef had a nice kick. It was a great first indoor dinner experience in over a year. The staff was friendly and kept checking on us.

The food itself is only good if this is the level of Asian food youve been eating your whole life. Which it probably is and Im sorry if thats the case. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken for lunch and got exactly 5 chicken pieces and a container filled with sweet and sour sauce. I complained and they remade my lunch with plenty of chicken. Everything tasted great. Im not a fan of egg drop or hot and sour soup but overall, not too shabby, very quick service, very polite, and prompt service.
Amazing food. The staff is friendly and food is very good. You can make a meal out of appetizers. They will also custom make food for your needs. We had walnut chicken and it was very good. They have dim sum plates too.They have good boba as well. Cannot ask for a better place to have a family meal.

This place is my favorite above all else mostly because the environment is so calming and the servers are so nice and funny it really makes my day. I get anxious in public but this place puts me at ease. It is quiet and relaxing, I would give more stars if I could. They are also generous with portions and fills me up real quick! :D
They have the best Chinese food at reasonable prices. I admit Ive never had their dumplings but the sweet and sour shrimp lunch special is amazing and a great value for what you get. Back before Covid I went with friends on several occasions and everything we tried was great. Great service and great food.
We were told this place was so wonderful, we went and we asked questions about the menu and food, trying to learn what was good etc. The waitress was unwilling to explain or help much and became seemingly very impatient and ruined our dining experience. When owner came to try to rectify, she became defensive and said she had been in business for 27 years. That is quite an established run, but the waitress needs to be trained to communicate kindly, have patience with a new customer or the owner needs to come help with menu and greet if she is going to have hostile servers towards customers that have never been there.

Just tried this place today because I was craving some egg drop soup. Food was great! We had the soup, chicken & mixed veggies, chicken cho mien, veggie fried rice, and veggie egg rolls. All of it was delicious and there was more than enough for two people. We have lots of left overs. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

For me, this is the best experience in Port Hueneme. The staff is incredibly nice. We always get the dinner for 2. Every entree has been good that we have tried, but the kung pao is my favorite.

Ive been coming to this restaurant since I was 3 or 4,which is well over 20 years, now. Jenny, the owner, taught me how to use chopsticks way back then, and still remembers me everytime my family and I come in. Their good is fantastic; paper wrapped chicken and the sizzling rice soup are my personal favorite items on the menu. This place is great for special occassions or even just a casual dinner in the middle of the week. Highly recommend 👏

Im not sure if theyre good or not. They close earlier than their posted business hours. Its posted on their window that they close at 9pm on Fridays, but they stopped helping as early as 8:24.

At first I absolutely loved this place. The rice is amazing.The last time I went they messed up my order the lady dug in my plate looking for meat that wasnt there and was breathing on my food the customer service is falling. :(

Been going here for over 15 years- still loving the food and atmosphere and missing it since I moved away, I stop by frequently whenever Im in the area visiting.For lunch just the right portion sizes with a variety of options, all coming with an appetizer, salad, and main course (you can still order from the regular menu as well).For dinner, you can order the family style 3-4 course meal specials (which come out in succession and give you time to enjoy each course) or order a la carte from their family style entrées.My favorites are: lemon chicken, sesame chicken or beef, beef & broccoli, pork lomein. For apps: cream cheese fried wontons cant be beat, the pot stickers have the most delicious sauce youll want to pour all over everything you eat. They also have a great pupu platter with a little fire cup so you can add some fun to your food.The service has always been great, Jenny the owner is gracious and caring. Ive only ever seen one group be upset with the service on a very crowded evening and several guests including myself told them off when they were being blatantly rude and talking down to the staff. Lots of repeat customers and regulars- not to mention its next to the military base so manners are a big deal.Over the years the decor (and size) has changed a lot from a hole in the wall/hallway with plastic tables and chairs to a large dining room with plush booths and contemporary Asian artwork on the walls to a little gift shop area showcasing a lot of the jewelry the owner makes during non-peak hours. Ive bought several pieces for myself and as gifts and they are extremely high quality and beautiful.

If you like wonton soup, I highly recommend their War Wonton. It is a whole meal, with shrimp, chicken, and beef.
I have eaten here several times and enjoy it just as the first time. Jenny is a great hostess, very gracious. If Ming the waiter is working, your getting deluxe treatment. The food is fresh and well executed. The Chow Fan with chicken is great, the noodles are cooked just right. Try the walnut shrimp to be truly astonished by the flavor. The Gen. Tsaos chicken is nice. The filet of sole with ginger is delicate and wonderful. I have listed my favorites. I am quite certain each and every dish is prepared with the same emphasis on quality and flavor. Go to the Chinese Dumpling House and treat yourself.

They only have four dumplings on the menu, one of which was unavailable. We got one order of dumplings (potstickers) to share. We then decided we didnt want a full meal, and attempted to leave. However, the waitress/owner said we couldnt leave unless we each ordered $9 worth of food. She was nice enough to point out where on the (slightly decomposed) menu this policy was stated. Bad vibes, stay away.

This is authentic food. What a surprise . I had lemon chicken and its equivalent of pf Changs lemon scallops. Dont be put off, its in shopping mall. Its a hidden jem!

The chicken is cut into thin sheets and fried with only a little breading - the result is pieces of chicken that are uniformly crispy outside and tender inside. The orange sauce with horseradish (I think) is a nice touch too, and adds good contrast to the flavors.

2020-07-23 03:39:04So... Hey... We ordered our food via phone, due to the pandemic, and the order went smooth, got the food smoothly. Get home, after ordering 3 As FAMILY meals, about $18/EC. We open them, thinking theyll be good portions, to find the first two, Seat & Sour Chicken and the Beef and Broccli are about the amount for 1 person, each as you can see in the photos. The Curry Chicken has a good serving amount, and plenty of soup and Side items.Service was fast and easy, but portions... Kind of sad. Not sure if this is because of pandemic or not.... But for almost $60 worth of food, I expected more.

2022-04-17 17:12:50Wow Ive seen this place for several years Ive never gone in I dont know much about dumplings but I went in this was the best Chinese food Ive ever had on the West Coast it was amazing the service was great and friendly the food was fresh and hot and delicious and reasonably priced I couldnt believe it I miss this place all the years I highly recommend eating here the best Chinese food Ive ever had

2023-10-17 01:21:19The food was delicious,steamed veggie dumplings perfect,had to have a doggy bag as generous portions,helpful and polite cant fault it at all,the lady owner even dropped me back to my hotel as I coukdnt get a cab,so kind!
