Hands down the best tofu soup in the area. This place has been here 20+ years and theyre not going anywhere. Authentic soft tofu soup with different levels of spice. This spot is a staple in the community. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I always get the soup and bbq combo. My favorite combo is the spicy pork and bean paste spicy soft tofu soup. I highly recommend this place if you want something new to try or youre an avid tofu soup goer and want to put this place to the test. It will not fail, authentic Korean flavors to the max

Fiiiiire spot for tofu soup. I think the bulgogi is pretty mid, and I haven’t tried a lot of the other dishes. But I love this spot for their tofu soup!!I’ve honestly had so many different flavors and they’re all fantastic. They’re bachann is fire too, and I love it when they have purple rice.I don’t think they have the soft serve ice cream anymore ever since the pandemic happened, but honestly? The soup is too good.Definitely check this place out! It’s a lot better than BCD.

One of the best, if not the best, Soondubu spot in the area. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They also very fast in cooking/preparing your order.Their pricing is a bit cheap for the quality that you get from their food. Try to get the tofu soup and galbi combo.

Honestly, this spot is my go to spot for Korean tofu in the area. I have even researched similar restaurants in the vicinity, and this restaurant is the most affordable. That said, inflation has still driven up prices compared to a couple years ago. In addition, management seems to have changed since the pandemic and they no longer cook your white rice in clay pots, nor do they refill your empty rice pot with Ta. The workers also seem a little bit rude and items like dry seaweed is an additional charge. No matter the people in your party. One table gets one pack of seaweed, which seems a bit ridiculous.

I craved a hot bowl of tofu soup (soondooboo) on a rainy and cold evening, and Cho Dang Tofu restaurant satisfied the craving. Not once had a bad experience with their quality and taste on my past visits. I ordered the perilla seed with mushroom soondooboo ($12.99) at the medium spice level. For the first timers try the seafood & beef or my favorite bean paste soondooboo that comes with clam, beef, and mushroom. The meal comes with a container with the yummy side dishes (banchan), white rice, and a fried fish. I recommend that you reheat the soondooboo in a pot and add an egg immediate after you turn off the fire.Picked up the new To-Go Bento set ($12.99) beef bulgogi and the restaurant is having a 20% off promo until end of January 31st on the Special Bento set ($16.99) or the To-Go Bento. The Special comes with additional banchans. A good amount of bulgogi with onions and no funny business with onions hiding underneath the bulgogi. This set will fill you up.Will come back to try their other specials and new menu items

The Galbi was amazing they use high quality beef, soft and not too fatty. The spicy pork bulgulgi was disappointing. Youre better off going to Gen house if you really like that dish. Service was amazing, staff is friendly, attentive and inviting. Restaurant is a little small for seated service so I took it to go.

One of best soon tofu places around. Start with fried fish (king fish?). Then to soon tofu with dried seaweed, rice and sweet/spicy cucumber kimchi makes for a nice combination. Finish with nue reung ji and garlicky, spicy pickled squid and daikon radish. There is free soft serve for dessert to cool your mouth afterwards.

The side dishes were of high quality. But that was about the only thing what went well. Hot stone bibimbap was not hot. Tofu soup were not spicy or tasty enough. Kalbi was tough and lacked taste. And there is no service to speak of. Quite disappointing honestly.

Good flavorful Korean tofu soup. They gave good banchan, it was the typical flair but the spicy squid was plentiful. Only strange thing was the potato salad looked questionable at first. It was very watery compared to the thick ones i usually get. However it actually tasted good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their tofu soup. I got a combo to share the galbi ribs. Service was more excellent than at other tofu soup restaurants.

Friendly place they have really good food. Its delicious! my sister is vegetarian and they only have 1 dish for her which is a veggie tofu soup. I recommend the beef tofu soup and the seafood soup but overall its all good and its hard to find a place that has everything thats good. Its worth the amount $$ they provide great food service. Though language is a barrier since its a Korean restaurant but really worth the trip to go. This is our to go restaurant when we crave asian/Korean soups 👍

Decent service at best, but it also depends on the staff.The food is delicious! They offer a lot of options for people that like spicy food. But its great every time.Ive had some great service at times and at other times its meager at best.This last time there was one other couple eating inside, no one else was there, two servers with plenty of open and available tables and we still waited for two minutes to even be acknowledged. We asked for more water and the server said yes, walked away and came back a bit later with our check and no water. We placed our card to pay but as she tried to take the payment still not bringing out water I had to remind her once more. She says ok and easily grabs a bottle that was only a few feet away from our table, with no one else being here.And the occasional flies roaming around. They are the worse.

The only thing holds me back from going there anymore is the customer service. Not a single one of the servers ever seemed nice and Ive been going there for a while now, so you can take my word for it. They never crack a smile or greet you properly. One time my girlfriend couldnt understand what the server lady with the Hoka shoes and glasses was saying because of her accent and she became extremely angry at us and began talking aggresively, which was so shocking! My girlfriend didnt realize the lady was asking for beef or pork and it caused a little confusion, but her reaction was unacceptable. She began treating us badly from then on. For example, she wouldnt even bother putting the dishes on our paper mat. She would just leave them at the edge of the table and go. Ive never had an experience like this before. So embarrassing for her to give us a chidlish attitude like that. She needs to stay at home and take care of her grandkids. I cannot emphasize enough just how bad their customer service is and how unkind the servers are. You feel bad for even going there like youre inconveniencing them

After my experience here I decide to read some reviews to see if anyone had a similar experience and turns out that it’s a common occurrence. This restaurant is not friendly to people outside of their ethic group. They didn’t even sit me and my friend when we arrived we were ignored. We waited a bit thinking maybe they were short staffed but they just looked at us and kept us outside. Fortunately the restaurant next door was amazing and sat us quickly and served amazing food 10/10 would recommend instead of this place.

Still just as good as before. Order the beef soon tofu and the cold noodle + kalbi combo. Tofu soup is very rich in flavour. Came with a raw egg and rice.Cold noodle was refreshing. Came with half an egg, some radish, cucumbers, and a slice of beef.Kalbi was just the right amount of sweet.

I gave only stars initially. Im writing this review after the owner says they wish to see me again. No chance. Heres why.I ordered seafood noodles. A very big bowl full of broth that was very salty. Had to pour more than 2 cups of water to make it less salty. A small shrimp in it was stinky so I could not eat it. Didnt dare try to eat clams. It was my 2nd or 3rd visit to this joint. I remember my first order--hot pot bibimbab. There was so much oil in it, so I knew I should not order that. I ordered seafood noodles this time thinking it couldnt go wrong. I was disappointed to see that it could go wrong. My party also ordered short rib soup. They said the meat was stale and smelly. We wondered why the foods were so bad. We thought, maybe they dont have enough customers due to Covid19 and so they are using old ingredients. But then, the situation is the same for other places too, and many other joints offer good foods. Ive made up my mind I will never try this restaurant again.

I love this place. But they cut back on some of their offerings (have to buy seaweed packs) and the combo doesnt have the stone bowl rice anymore. Consequently, the rice they give you is not enough to finish with the soup. So you have to pay for another bowl.

Prices have gone up, but this place still has some of the better korean soft tofu soup that you can get in the area. The portion sizes are good, and the side dishes are all tasty. Service is attentive and friendly. Staff will speak English and will help you if you have any questions regarding the menu. Remember to get free soft serve at the end of your meal.

First time having tofu soup. I had the pork. It was served lava Hot. Still bubbling. The dish came with a least 6 sides of vegetables, and a small fried fish. The fish was a little cold for my taste. But the service was good. I was checked up on many times. Overall the experience was great. Be sure to make time to enjoy the food. I was on lunch, and had only an hour. Most soups are 9.99

I had ordered Soft seafood Tofu + Galbi Combo and hot stone Bibimbap with squid. Soft Seafood Tofu and beef( Galbi) taste were nothing special. The hot stone Bibimbap with squid was so soggy like baby food, tastes like in a sugar soup adds chili paste, rice and about 7 pieces of half pinto beans size cutting squid legs, and some vegetables. After I mixed up the food in the hot stone pot, I dont know how to eat it. It was so soggy, so sweet, and so salty, so I had to order another bowl of rice to make it better, but the taste was still so sweet and salty, I feel sick with the taste. So I asked the waitress for a small dish of bean sprouts and wait for more than a half-hour, it didnt come. Very poor service and very poor quality of food. I will not visit again for sure.

Galbi is amazing, the bulgogi is okay, the chicken is okay.Decently priced for the amount of food you get. 5+ stars for the foodKnocking off one star because of the service. The waiters are decently efficient, but very brusque. Unless you ask for it (or can speak Korean) you wont get tea, and theyll take it away immediately after. You wont get attention unless you make eye contact and wave down the server. Once you do, its a maybe if youll get what you ask for. Service really depends on how full the restaurant is.

There is a plethora of other dishes, such as Galbi, Dolsot Bibimbap, etc.The service is very nice and traditional, the service is very nice, and never have I ever seen the waitresses drop a dish on the floor.The decor is very nice, traditional, and cozy, covered with a wallpaper resembling Korean script and traditional Korean drawings.There is also a coffee and juice machine, though the juice machine used to be an ice cream machine for you to use.Overall, great restaurant, highly recommended!

A couple of friends took me here after learning that my Korean food palate is sadly lacking. It was my first time trying Soondubu which is a korean tofu soup dish and it did not disappoint. Im a big fan of tofu soup, and since I was nearby, I got two orders of the pork tofu soup for takeout.When I get here, I find out theres also a Red Ribbon, Valerios, AND Seafood City here?! This plaza is great!We got something from all those places. But anyway, Cho Dang wasnt too busy around 6pm on a Friday. Perfect. If you are craving the perfect mini pot of sundubu, this is THE place to go (it will cost you less than $10, combos are about $15). I dont know how they do it, but every single spoonful of it tastes amazing. It is extremely consistent; even though I hold the sundubu to such a high standard in my mind, it never ceases to satisfy me!The banchan is fresh and delicious and the waiters will happily refill them for you. Even though theyre usually super busy during normal eating hours, the service is still great. To top it all off, theres a soft serve ice cream dispenser and a coffee dispenser(works most of the time) which are both free of charge.

We were originally supposed to dine at a new place across the street, but I was told they would open on Thursday, even though their ad in the Filipino newspaper said they were open now. The soup was piping hot, spicy per request & delicious. The accompanying banchan complemented the main course. I especially enjoyed having the nori. I picked up my bowl and slurped up every last drop of my hearty soup.Free soft serve and coffee/hot chocolate is always a great thing. However, the soft serve is the reconstituted powdered, slushy stuff. BCD has the real deal ice cream going for them, which diners scoop for themselves.Service was great, as our banchan was refilled w/o even asking. We didnt require other assistance besides that, but our waitress was friendly & smiling so kudos to her.Seating was plentiful, with wooden decor and placemats w/ the menu on them.My bottom line - BCD wins the food challenge quantlet by the narrowest of margins. Great authentic style Korean food.I got the kalbi combo which comes with your choice of soft tofu soup. I got the gop-jang sun dubu, which is the intestine soft tofu soup. It comes out boiling in an authentic Stone pot, alongside another Stone pot of rice. We elected to put tea in the pot after taking all the rice out.All in all it was delicious.
