City Tacos in Encinitas

In an effort the leave an 200 character review. I ordered a carnitas taco and a Mexicali taco. Both were amazing 🤩. I rate taco shops for fun and I would highly recommend this place. The salsa was also fresh and tasty. Total score 9.25. There is room to improve into hand tossed tortillas. Other than that. So good. Ill be back for sure. Lager beer on tap was also good. I want to try fish tacos next time.

Taco Tuesday grand slam! Maybe don’t wait in line at the other taco spot in the area! Swing over to City Tacos…fun vibe with a DJ, a foosball table, lounge area with a fire pit, tons of outdoor seating, so many delicious taco options…oooo and Elote Asado. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The DJ even posed for a pic. Worth it for the vibe alone! Taco Tuesday includes $2.50 Mexican beer and 10% off food ❤️🙌

This is our date night favorite. Super nice workers and fast! Not too pricey and they generally have a good beer or 2 on tap. Walking distance to the beach for a post-taco jaunt. I love the fish and vegetarian options on their amazing corn tortillas. The boyfriend loves the meat options on flour. We are impressed on a weekly basis. Thanks guys!

Amazing tacos, very high quality assembly of ingredients. The fish taco was very good. Service was a bit unorganized, our orders came out fast but the server was confused about who got what and she wasnt a great communicator. But the tacos, very good. We sat on a nice patio area with ample seating.

Excellent tacos (standard and more complex options). I loved the shrimp taco. Good beers available too. I eat a lot of Mexican food, but tacos arent my thing. However, Ill go back just to have that shrimp taco again!

Very chill and laid back taco shop with great patio seating. The tacos were great! The shrimp taco and fried potato and chili relleno tacos were my favorite. My 2 year old son loved the bean quesataco too :) Rita helped us and is exceptional! She went above and beyond- helped us with ordering & provided great recommendations & was so sweet with our kids. She really made us feel so welcome - thank you!

City Tacos, because you have a choice for tacos — choose here.Nice little spot with good outdoor seating, and a foosball table.Tacos were bigger than most and excellent ingredients / flavor.Would highly recommend.

I went to City Tacos yesterday and was able to DINE IN. Make sure to wear your face mask when ordering or walking around the restaurant! This was my first time at any City Tacos, so I ordered the Mexicali, Pescado, and Camaron Enchilado Tacos. I also redeemed my check-in offer and got a free corn quesadilla!The Mexicali was delightful! The fresh flour tortilla, potato, beef, and guacamole were a beautiful combo that made the taco my favorite from the ones I ordered. The Pescado taco was refreshing, crispy, and had great flavor. I like putting the pineapple salsa on the Pescado taco to add more of a sweet balance to the taco. The camaron enchilado was good. I definitely think pan fried shrimp would go better for the flavor profile, but it was tasty nonetheless. The corn quesadilla was fresh and the tortilla was handmade. I definitely enjoyed my experience at City Tacos and look forward to coming back to try the various selection of tacos!

Great tacos! Pescado and portobello were delicious. Mexicali and Surf and Turf tacos are also awesome. They serve four different salsa with tacos which are all tasty.

Great selection of tacos, we tried a few different kinds. My favorite was the Mexicali.We sat outside where there are a few tables and the weather was great.It would have been a five star if that tables weren’t sticky.
