We accidentally found this little place driving up Coast Highway and are very glad we did. We dont typically go to health food restaurants, but this one is both that and very tasty. I eat very healthy food because of a medical condition, but Im usually with my husband or my son who like things a little stouter. And since we dont drink coffee, we rarely go to a place that is one of the modern coffee stops. Nectarine Grove merges the coffee stop with its health food emphasis. We very much enjoyed our salads there, though we felt a little out of place as senior citizens; well probably use take out in the future. It is counter serve, and the lack of extra service kind of fits the ambiance. Note that it is NOT VEGETARIAN, though non-meat eaters will find plenty of options! The counter person did not know the difference between vinaigrette dressing and vinaigrette base, which was kind of a lesson for us, but it was remedied quickly. Well go again soon and recommend it to anyone interested in lighter fare.

Edit/update: been here multiple times now. ive gotta say they have some of the best tacos in sd county. ive tried every one of them now, and all are delicious. salsas are amazing.still got those sticky tables outside though. really wish theyd do something about that. ?quite impressed with this place. had never been here before, driven past it many times...figured it was finally time to try it.between the 3 of us we had a total of 11 tacos of 6 different types. every one of them was fantastic. bigger than i was expecting, and the prices are very reasonable. the salsas are DELICIOUS, employees are very nice, patio seating is great.honestly this would have been a 5 star review, except for two things....neither was a huge deal, just a little annoying.one: the tables were sticky. not terrible, but noticeably sticky. tried two different tables, both were the same.secondly, and much more annoying than the sticky tables, were the kids. way too many obnoxious children yelling and running all over the patio and walkway, bumping into tables and chairs while people were eating. their parents completely ignoring the chaos. two of them riding little electric motorcycles up and down the walkway, down the stairs, running into things, etc.someone from the restaurant really should have come out to put a stop to that. you could see quite a few people were visibly annoyed.other than that, the meal was very, very good.

I called around 9pm and was told by the person(JACK claims to be his name. Image attached) who attended my call before even taking my order that they are closing soon. Then he asked me what I want? I said 2 orders and of tom yum soup spice level 10. Then he asked me what meat I want in my soup? I asked him what options I have? Which is a common question everyone asks while ordering. But then Kim he right away got mad and told me “YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME” can't you look at the menu online and order? I was soo down hearing those words from him at that point. Again I politely replied him that I am driving from Fallbrook to his restaurant only so I can't look at his menu while driving and I requested him to go over the protein options they have? He refused to provide option. Then I asked him do you have beef? He said “NO”. Then I aske do you have “MIX SEAFOOD”? He said “NO”. But even then he is not ready to explain the option. But he was in a intension to disconnect my call and told me he not gonna place my order until I reach his restaurant and do not want to waste food. I again pleaded him that I am driving please place the order for 2 Tom yum chicken soup large spice 10 and if you want I can pay now on the phone so that if I reach close to his closing time I can just pick up and I won't be a reason to close his ledger delayed and go home late. But he refused that too. He again said he won't place the order and waste food, and be here before closing and place order in person.After the experience over the phone I was about to turn over from my half way, but since my wife asked for the soup and that was the only restaurant open until 9.30 i proceeded.Once I reached the restaurant I asked him are you the one who was talking to me on the phone? Can't you explain the protein option while I was driving? He again with an attitude showed me the laminated menu to see the option, and didn't allowed me to talk further.I then placed the order for 2 large soup and told him I “Don't want to waste time with a person who doesn't know to respect others time”.Not sure if this business owner read this review?I was standing in front of him and waiting for my order for 10 mins for no reason and that could be avoided if he took my order over phone and that would have made both ends easier. He was showing kind of worst attitude like why I am there at his restaurant for the whole time when I was there waiting for the food.And BTW: The soup was soo bland. No sourness at all. No taste at all. I am having Tom Yum soup for years and this is not the one I expected. My bad. Wrong restaurant choice. Never ever returning back.

Very frustrated! Nektar app ordering is cool... but nobody ever has read my orders correctly. I guess there is some assumption that I dont adjust my orders I place online but the last 3 have been messed up. I order banana berry with orange juice and pitaya selected to be substituted in and they were not BUT they were listed on the sticker placed on my order. I never have time to wait for a new one because I order online to get to work on time!

Thanks for the excellent smoothie, smoothie bowl and service!I'm always on the hunt for good protein powder, since most is grainy and leaves a gross aftertaste. Choice has the best protein powder so far. Does not take away from the flavor of the smoothie, but adds to it.Jinda is kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. We ordered the Orange Dreamsicle bowl with granola and raspberry chia jam, and the Avatar smoothie. Both are delicious.We will be back when next in the area!

Superior tasty heathy natural food that is hard to match either at home or at nearby restaurants. The roasted chicken is second to none. The cost is unbelievably reasonable and the service crisp and responsive. If you are a vegetarian, which I am not, I will challenge you to find a better vegan menu. My wife and I visit at least once a week and ask ourselves why not twice. We sometimes cheat and eat at Chicks Natural twice a week. Why not!
