Edit: 8/13/21. Had them again and sadly both my roommate and I got sick after eating the food. We both really love this place, and was always our go to stop before covid. Everything tasted fine when eating it for me, roommate said one of his rolls tasted a little funny. I really hope things improve because this place is still considered one of my favorites.Original Review.Food is generally good, service is fantastic and owner and family are sincerely lovely people. Great portions as well and great deals. The sushi has taken a little bit of a dip in quality on rice and crab, but the fish remains top notch.
This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants! The food is excellent and prepared in a timely fashion, and the combination of Japanese and Chinese food items allows for a nice variety not seen in other sushi style restaurants. The staff are always very friendly and polite. Calling your order in advance is a good idea.
I honestly have no clue how I havent reviewed CJ Fusion before, but these 5 stars are long overdue. Ive never had anything I didnt like here. Theyre always fast, and the guy I speak to on the phone to order has always been nice and suggests the best dishes. With 2 kids under 2, we mostly order out, but before they came along the husband and I dined in once and the place is clean and the staff are friendly.If Im having a bad day, or just cant decide what to make for dinner, we always order from here because I know my good is going to be delicious and Im always happy afterward :)
My favorite sushi! The fish is always fresh, and having the ability to get Chinese food along with it makes it a go to destination for the whole family. Highly recommend.

The restaurant had great customer service and even gave us a complimentary roll. The person i spoke with also said next time they will give us extra boba. They were so kind and we will definitely order again.
Nice little hole in the wall spot for sushi. Dont be turned off by its outward appearance. The sushi is really good and fresh. Try the all you can eat menu! The owner is so cool. He gave us free dessert the last time we dined there...deep fried ice cream! 😋
Just ordered the Dragon Roll box number 7 which comes with a Dragon Roll and teriyaki chicken and rice and a salad. I was pleasantly surprised because when the Uber Eats driver dropped off my order and I opened it up I saw that CJ Fusion included a free California roll on the house. Food tastes delicious and great way to keep customers coming back by hooking them up with nice little surprises like that. Ive been eating CJ Fusion and Tandy, from this owner for at least 10 years . The shrimp fried rice is the absolute best I always get extra shrimp. The salmon is amazing! Customers who complain about service in their food not being fresh and tasty are out of their minds. They really care about the quality of their food and they couldnt be nicer people and have better service. I used to go to other sushi places but not anymore. Occasionally when I do outside of this city I am usually disappointed. Thanks for your great service Tandy and family.
Wow! The roll I just ordered was horrible (old) and I politely asked the waitress if I could order another to correct the problem. Then she sent her husband out and he got so upset that I didnt like his food. However, he proceeded to yell at me in the restaurant and said Ill take a % off the bill.... I feel that is not the correct way to deal with customers.... However, it was a terrible experience besides the location in Fairfield....

Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had. Please, save your money and dont go there unless you enjoy throwing up on your bathroom floor. Food is inedible, raw, overcooked, and just so bland you taste the low quality. If you want REAL Japanese food go across the street and try Hanna Japanese Restaurant! They wont yell at you if you dont enjoy their food.
I Came here tonight with my fiancé and we were very disappointed. We were really craving ramen and sushi and both were horrible. Very bland, no flavor. The staff was very nice so I even feel bad about writing this review, but it was such a waste of money. If you’ve eaten at a Japanese restaurant before you would know it can be pricey, but worth it. This wasn’t. It took forever to get our order and when we did, the sushi was mostly all rice and nothing else and the broth of the soup tasted like milky water. I guess the best way to describe it is the food tasted like the chef had just tried cooking Japanese food for the very first time and needs a lot more practice. I was going to give one star... but for their effort and kindness I gave them two.
This was amazing they were really nice and the service was quick, the quality of the fish is unmatched in farfield and the special sauce is amazing. Pricing is affordable and the portions are more theb enough to make you full 10/10 reccomend to any customer looking for a good meal
Hands down the best sushi spot in Fairfield. Tandy and his wife run a tight ship, the sushi is absolutely delicious and super fresh. Great prices too! I dont what else needs to be said. This is THE place to go.
Got take out here for the first time...trying to support local restaurants but will not be going back. The staff is friendly but the sushi quality is very poor. The spicy tuna handroll was not edible due to the fish not being fresh...could taste the fowlness under the heavy layer of sriracha. The flavors of special sauce is just off putting and seems to hide the super tiny bits of fish on top of the roll. The maguro also was some sort of imitation. Would not dine there again.
Tolerable food does not begin to make up for horrible service. Im not sure if its the owner of this barely sanitary, culturally confused establishment, but whomever the miserable male gentleman is that is working there - should not be working there... or anywhere else where humans are present. He is completely rude and ruined a friends Birthday with his inexcusably obnoxious behavior. 50% of a dining experience is the customer service - which this gentleman is lacking 100%.Anybody can make rice...He needs to learn how to make nice.
Taste okay but not too happy .We ordered two bowls of the beef ramen and both bowls had only 4 to 6 very small pieces of beef.Very disappointed.
Great looking establishment but the actual quality of sushi is simply horrible. The rice is dry, the types of fish used dont taste of what they are, its just there in your roll. The staff are fairly friendly, depends on their mood for the day, never consistent.

The food here is so-so.If youre looking for a sushi restaurant, Ive been to a couple of sushi places around the area, go ahead and skip out on this one, the sushi is I will say cheap price wise, but also quality wise. Theres nothing about this sushi that really grabs your attention like a good sushi should, and the rice kind of breaks apart a little too easily causing the piece youre grabbing to fall apart. We got the super Cali roll, super dragon, Mexican, spider, tempura, lion King, and super crunchy hand roll and nothing really grabbed our attention, it wasnt bad but I wouldnt recommend. That being said never take the effect of a reviewers opinion to sway you from trying something.Other foods we got the shrimp fried rice very generic but good, the spicy combination platter I asked for the very spicy and it was not very spicy... Like very mild at best, but it was good, this was probably the highlight of everything we purchased, last we got the Miso soup, I didnt end up trying this wife did and she said that it was too salty, and too much seaweed vice there being green onions you see in most.

The chicken won ton soup was nasty and full of to many vegetables. The chow mien was dry, I did enjoy the teriyaki chicken, now I know what not to order!!!! Oh also the tempura shrimp was dry as hell and tasteless, with no dipping sauce!!!!!!!!!

The greasiest food I have ever eaten! Even worse than greasy fried chicken. The fried rice alone was so gracy that if you scoop some up on a fork liquid would drip out. Super gross.

Upon driving into the parking lot we noticed there was only one car parked on a Sunday afternoon which should have been a red flag but we had just came from church and we decided to give it a try. First we sat down to eat the buffet and I noticed the sign that said you had to pay 1.00$ per piece of uneaten food and being that this was our first (and by the way last)visit I didnt like the sound of that being I had my 12 year old daughter who is a picky eater and a picky 2 year old and so I explained that this was our first time visiting and had no idea what to expect and asked if that was true and the waitress was very rude and said yes you must finish everything if not dont get buffet and then the man seated across the room eating with his family who I assumed was the owner then began telling us if you eat the buffet you must finish everything if not then order from our other menu then the waitress came and slammed down the menu at our table my husband and I could not believe how were being treated and my children even asked what was wrong I told my husband I was trying to enjoy our lunch time together and I felt very pressured and so at this point my husband and I decided to get up and leave to take our family to a much more family friendly place I will say however they did have a ?large menu and different options but they were extremely rude and it was a very unpleasant experience so we went to another sushi buffet in our area where the waitresses were very kind especially to our children which is very important for us as a family unit and the food was delicious so sorry CJ Fusion because of your poor customer service you have lost our business and we wont be returning!!

The food is so bland for example the chicken chow mein it taste like cardboard. The sushi is HORRIBLE!!! the rice they make the rolls with taste old and nasty. We got yelled at for not finishing the rice with our sushi.

Phenomenal! Very fresh sushi, large too. Seafood ramen, miso soup, and teriyaki chicken were all fantastic! Definitely will be my go-to for Japanese cuisine.
Love the Solano salad. The dressing on the salad was absolutely perfect with just the right amount of flavor. Its not real heavy. Orange Chicken is out of this world!

2023-08-19 01:03:27I made a simple order, the hostess repeated my order exactly, twice, and still messed up the order I was given. I suggest you check your order before walking out the door. The BBQ Pork fried rice has no flavor and tastes terribly bland. Im disappointed, I thought they were better than that.

The food wasnt perfect but it was satisfying and good despite being a bit expensive.My husband got the seafood ramen, it had decent taste but it was slightly bland. It was still very filling just not something wed order again.I ordered two sushi rolls to share and a small miso soup. The Philadelphia roll was pretty good, a bit skimping on the cream cheese but it was a big portion and quite delicious.The Crunchyroll was perfect and Ill definitely come back just to get it. The shrimp tempura was so crispy you could eat the tail which I love. The only downside is that the rolls fall apart quite easily which shouldnt happen in good sushi.The miso soup was salty and hot! Very satisfying and I cant wait to order it again. The staff are pleasant and fairly attentive. The presentation of the sushi was perfect and though the outside may not seem like much. You wont go home hungry and we will come back here again soon!

2017-11-14 19:56:07Friendly and fast service with beautifully plated food. Our table felt dirty but that could have been the residue of leftover cleaner. My husband did not eat a lot of his chicken because it was fatty and of poor quality but he enjoyed the soup and salad. The fried rice did not have much flavor.I enjoyed my sushi rolls but they fell apart pretty easily. We will be returning (:

2019-12-16 18:08:26The food was great. The prices are great. Service, not so much. Theres kids there helping out but they arent friendly at all. They dont talk nor smile. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our order I finally went to the sushi bar and the young boy had an attitude. I told him no ones came to our table yet, he says ok, were busy. I asked him if I could just place my order here and he rolled his eyes at me. The waitress came out and apologized and said shed be right over. She said she thought someone helped us already. She was very nice. She added dessert to our meal free of charge.
